The penalty system is extremely harsh lmao… even your driving ratings get updated if you quit over a dumb mistake. However this system showing no mercy to that idiot to shame is one of the best things about this penalty system
Your ratings should be affected by quitting, even if they're kinda pointless in this game
That’s the way it should be higher rated drivers will complete a race even with a mistake. If you don’t have the confidence in your pace and strategy to get back in the race or the humbleness to just to take the L your not really a highly rated driver are you? 🤷🏾♂️

@@rickyhits6547 no especially then it’s the first lap of the race it’s not like you have no chance to gain back good position. It’s a whole nother thing if you get pitted on the last few laps and your whole race is ruined. The better racer will still finish the race but it’s at least more understandable

Aw dude this just happened to me too! Completely brain farted and thought it was going to add 3 laps of fuel, which you know is not what happened 😂. Ahhh UI/UX design, you need to account for idiots too.
The penalty system is so broken I’ll get rammed and spun then get a penalty for it
Sounds just like GT7 except on GT7 after being punted off you get served with an off track penalty 😂
I've seen so many people even in league races I do come a cropper of that "total x laps, not add x laps of fuel" in the pitstops.
Usually followed by a rant over the mic about how the game is broken and the pitstops don't work lmao

I suspect he thought he would get a penalty but it would be small enough to still get the position.
I did the same exact mistake i thought it was ADDING 8 laps and went from 1st to finishing 5th 💀

The tyre model is so brutal on this game compared to GT7 😂

The penalty system kinda only punishes the people who want to race clean, the tool who is hitting people, dive bombing, and just wrecking the race, didn't care if he get penalty time, most of the time they quit out , and are wrecking another race, before the original race has finished.
It's just the usual, "oh yeah, That will be a good idea" but without really testing it out. Wet races, track rubber, dynamic weather, none of it has been a good thing, just because it in real life racing, does not mean it has to be in a video game. This current forza, feels manipulated, every lap in practice you are faster, then qualifying, faster again, I can do a lap I know is the same as the last one, even slower, and it will be faster.. almost like everyone gets a trophy day..
I did that kinda mistake with fuel on the Le Mans. 😂💀
Forza Motorsport penalty system is a broken digital clock, but even it manages to get something right once.

Did you know that fm8 has a vote ( kick ) out mechanism for online races ? No ? Me also till it happend to me.
For my background I’m a very clean driver. I’m also capable of driving fast ..
2-3 weeks ago I was in a almost full lobby in gt 3 class at Hockenheim..
Practice, quali everything went smoothly.. clocked in with a strong 1:37 on pole.
Race is going to start, countdown begins and 3, 2… disconnect.
Me : what the fuck.

The endurance hopper couldve been so good if they just didnt lock it to one track... i dont understand the devs at all. Almost seems like they are trying their hardest to kill the game
This week isn't locked to one track, but it's very limited on strategy because of the 1 tyre type

I will never get over the physics in this game. All the cars constantly no matter the speed look like they don't want to turn at all. It gives me the same feeling you get in nightmares when trying to run away but you can't
I think it might be the camera actually. It lags behind the car so you can't see it turning as much unlike gt the cam is locked to the car so you can see every little twitch
@boigercat No, the default setups are awful, and with both the changes to the physics and the lingering possibility that Turn 10 doesn't even understand what they've done, the car's handling can't ever really be improved to any significant degree. This game genuinely makes Forza Motorsport 5 look well-made...because, to be frank, it was compared to this tire fire.
It's the constant oversteer that feels unrealistic for me

@@ClutchLikesVideos Yea, I've never seen so much understeer in a racing game as I have with FM8. Every car is seemingly just built with an extreme amount of it by default. I played a ton of the game when it launched and somehow managed to suffer through it for a long while, I've thought about getting back into it and doing online races but the extent to which you just can't steer the car makes it an unsatisfying prospect. I'm sure that can be fixed to some extent with proper setup but IDK, when every car is set up to understeer by default that can take quite a bit of time away from actually racing.
