Wow, I just started following your channel because of all your cool work on the SCX 24's, and I find you also have a Redcat !! I just got into crawling this year, and my first crawler is a Gen8 Axe Edition. I 've been running it and upgrading it for about 2 months, and so far it's very durable, as I am not gentle with my stuff. I bought the ESS dual , and I love it !!! I have a buddy who runs with me, he has an Axeil II ; and my truck pretty much outcrawls him in every way but turning radius. Doesn't matter though, we have a blast. I had the same process as you with setting my ESS up, but since install, it has worked flawlessly. Really adds to the whole crawling experience, in my opinion , and others around us. Really liking the content, keep up the good work !!
Not sure how I missed this comment. Sorry for that! Really glad you found the channel. I LOVE my Gen 8 and it’s been very realiable so far. I did just break my front steering knuckle so I’m replacing it with the treal brass setup so it won’t happen again. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks! I used nitro fuel and tons of elbow grease lol. Worked really well but it takes a good bit of scrubbing. I’d just wet my cloth a bit and scrub!
@@mikec.9979 yeah I bought a sticker kit off of eBay that gives it trim. So the windows are clear but you have a trim around them with the new sticker set. Not sure if they are still available or not but they look really good!
Thanks for reply Also I ask other thing does you run the truck without sound I mean on off from remote because sometimes I need run truck without sound did you try it
@@bunasir394 you can leave it connected and just turn the volume all the way down and you’ll hear nothing. That’s how I would do it. Worked great! Then it was still calibrated and ready when I wanted to use it again. Just turn the volume back up and roll!
It comes with a deans adapter that you run in line with your battery. Should be a fairly simple connect. You may have to switch your truck to deans if it isn’t already. I’ve had this one for several years so I’m not 100% sure what it came with but I think that would work.
@@2fmrc thanks man!! It’s not dean, it has those bullet connectors. I’ve found bullet to dean adapters on Amazon, so I should be good to go!!! Thanks for the input! How do you like the ESS? Is it as good as everyone says it is?
@@fitterrob2198 yeah it’s really good. I have the ESS one and they now have the dual which is even better I think. You can connect it to the PC and change the sounds etc. Really cool! And it’s lasted really well. I’ve had it for at least 5-6yrs I’d say and it still works just fine.
@@2fmrc that’s the one I got, the Dual!!! I’m waiting on the adapters and I’m excited to get it fired up!! I can’t wait! I love the one that comes preloaded, the big V8!!! Sounds awesome!!!
@@fitterrob2198 yeah they didn’t even have the dual when I got mine lol. I’ve debated on getting the dual but mine has been so good that I figured there was no need. I hope it all hooks up easily for you! It comes with directions on how to calibrate it to your transmitter as well. Awesome little accessory for sure!

Hi I like sound unit could you suggest I need for 1/14 Volvo truck or this unit just for rc crawl car what you think
Thanks
Yeah I would suggest the newer version of this unit. The ESS dual plus sound system. I hear it sounds a bit better than this older version!
Thanks for reply

How to install to a 2 3s system like a arma felony 6s
How could I get power to the ESS from a stock gen 7?
