Thank you Maurie. I tend to go with whatever mood I'm in at the time of the edit. This time it was B&W moody! :D Keeps subscribers guessing I suppose... :D
Would not think a ship like this would be preserved like this! I love that I can add the Fingal to my list of saved ships from the past. A very unexpected retirement, indeed. A hard-working pilot captain won the lottery and spent their retirement at the Ritz Carlton. "Fingal," an old friend inquired. "Is that really YOU!?"
@@visitwithus it was very enjoyable thanks for asking - I didn't want to leave. The food was delicious and as for that full Scottish breakfast: ❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍The team really take good care of you don't they!?
Ah, He's back. Hello Rich and Helen. You've been on my mind as of late. How are you doing over there? Not so good in Montreal. Glad to see a new video.
Wow Richard!! Love the sinister intro😀. What a beautiful ship. I would love to stay there. The ambiance and furnishings are totally to my taste. Awsome 📷 perfect as usual. Did you want people to subscribe? I couldn't tell...😆
I absolutely love your content. Who are you and where do you come from? Thank you for sharing! Although, it's hard to believe Fingal's reno was 'only' 5M pounds... Its so nice to see originality and details.
Thank you so much Eli. We're from the UK and we're called Rich and Helen. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Please subscribe to our channel if you haven't done so already. We'd love to have you along for the voyage! :)
This was a great tour. I loved the intro, but expected to see a Ghost Ship :) I love how intimate it is- ty for pointing out its proximity to not-so-much may cause one to only spend 2 nights there. I don't know what Helen was operating behind the bar, but it looked fun. The duplex looked quite nice. Would love to try this ship.
Thanks Bob. Well, if you're ever visiting Scotland, I'd highly recommend her for a stop over. Helen was trying out their mini 'Carbonite freezing chamber' last seen in The Empire Strikes Back. 😂
I really enjoy your videos. Regarding the intro to this one, had a bit of time on your hands did you? :-) Now to get travel going to and from the USA again so we can get back to Britain to enjoy Fingal, and a couple of crossings to boot. David
Great video, thank you! Beautiful photography. I wouldn't mind stay a night or two on this boat. Very tasteful interior. By the way, 50 years ago I worked on a coaster. And we stayed in Leith a couple of days. I only have faint memories. Too drunk as usual.
An interesting video and I loved the history. Also appreciate your honesty regarding the dark cabins. Looking at the BB&D rate it allows you £30 towards your evening meal yet £30 wouldn't buy 2 of the cheapest courses. I believe a dinner package should at least be enough to get you a 2 course meal but perhaps I'm being picky. Having watched your brilliant video I don't feel the need to visit.
They remodeled the ship for 5 mill ???? I need to hire these guys, that duplex bathroom is fantastic. I would have put a bigger tv on the hull between the two portholes rather than that tiny thing on a desk, but that's me. The ballroom as a dining venue is stunning. Great video (as ever) of what looks like a nice hotel......
Update!! I'm not staying but I've just booked Afternoon tea for September after our Royal Yacht Britannia tour. When they asked on the booking how did you hear about us I mentioned your video and channel, Visit With Us.
That's absolutely LOVELY of you Angela. Thank you. :) I guess they've seen our video but one never really knows as they've never shared any of our media. Perhaps they didn't like what we did lol!
I am getting seriously worried. Not only is it cruise videos but also moored hotel cruise ships. Inside there is a world famous film director trying to get out. Clearly a new and prosperous occupation awaits in the tourist industry.
It is beautiful indeed David, and while it is small, it doesn't feel claustrophobic when you are on her. But I understand what you're saying. Thank you for watching. We hope you've subscribed. :)
It all depends on how I feel at the time of the edit. Sometimes you get the 9 year old me, sometimes the adult version. :) Thank you for watching. We hope you've subscribed (to the adult me). :)
Beautifully shot, loved the drama of the B&W beginning!

What a great idea. I will have to look into spending a night or two here next time I am in the Edinburgh area.
Please do! Thank you for watching. We hope you've subscribed. :)
Wow what a stunning restoration. Beautifully done. As always your videography and editing are spectacular.
Thank you so much 😀
Good to see. I had toyed with staying there on my trip but decided wanted to be in town so great to get the inside story :-)
GARY BEMBRIDGE
Cheers Gary. :D
No need to shout, JJ. 😂

Thanks for watching Matthew 👍
I was going through withdrawal symptoms. Good to have my Rich/Helen video fix. Thanks!
Thanks Wayne. Sorry for the delay in replying! :D
I’m looking forward to staying here in October and this video has made me over more excited. Fantastic content as usual. She looks gorgeous.
Ooooh, how did you get on? I saw your Insta and it looked like you enjoyed her as much as we did. :)

Gah! I didn't reply to this! Sorry Jeremy. I hope you're well! :D
What a glorious hotel! Thanks for sharing that!

Oh and UA-cam has now decided it should let me know about your Emirates flights.....
Thanks Dave. :)
Well, did you obey UA-cam and watch? :)
@@visitwithus Of course, I always watch your videos, they remind me of better times.
@@lvthud Thanks Dave. ☺️
Great video! Please tell me what that music is?
Thanks for watching. The music? Gah, I can't remember exactly lol! Sorry!
Lovely !
Thanks Diogo. It's a great place to stay if you're in the area.

Oh okkkk so the ship doesnt move?
Nope. it's a floating hotel. :)

I'm sorry, although I appreciate the beauty of it, it's much to claustrophobic for me.
