- Thanks so much for watching today’s Sunday Hymn Serenade! "How Great Thou Art" is one of my absolute favorite hymns!! It was written by a Swedish poet in 1885 who was caught in the middle of a thunderstorm. In the stillness that followed, he wrote the words to this beloved hymn.
I pray the words of this hymn would bring you comfort in the storms of life and that we would remember that our God is greater than any trial we face 🙌🏻

Wow! I loved this. I still struggle with some thing's. Too many year's of anger and doubt. I mentioned once to someone, what I found I really liked about your music, is just by watching you, I can tell you truly believe what you're singing and playing. You wouldn't believe how much that help's. On you-tube last night, I came across a Nashville CMA show, featuring a lady singing "How Great Thou Art", accompanied by a well known singer and guitar player. just had a flash back to when i was23 years old ,i had 4 wisdom teeth stuck in my jaw bones trying to come through, but my mouth was too small for it to happen ihadto go into the hospital Inpreston lancashire to have them all out when i came to this was the song hymn on the hospital radio staion playing and it really blessed me greatly it is so wondrefully soul moving and helpful and joyful too.I had stichesput in my jaws to close the gap it was a few days in hospital too ...my face was sore for about a month,really but we get through a lot in this life.
