Clinic: Beaming (Grouping of Notes) - Part 1
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- This video focuses on the absolute basics of beaming (grouping of notes). Areas covered:
- Eighth notes/Quaver notes
- Time signatures of 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4
- Ensuring that beaming emphasises/highlights the main beats of the time signature.
Part 2 coming soon!
Omg it's been so long!!! Celebrating the comeback!!!🥳🥳🥳
Thank you! ☺️👍🏻
@@musictheoryguystill I’m clueless on how to count the eighth note with with flag ..? I understand the eighth note 🎵 like this ..
Waiting for part 2 crew
Long story short: beams are for any concurrent notes with a smaller subdivision than the time signature’s denominator (measure value), and are separated only by larger note value and/or by each beat of the time signature’s numerator (number of measures).
I like this video because it basically clarifies why music isn’t just sheets of endless beamed full stacks of notes. That little “fraction” really is a useful piece of information!
Waiting for part 2 .... you make all your videos really easy to understand.
I got a notification for your video a few minutes ago, so let me be the first to greet you a Happy New Year!
Welcome Bach!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
You meant back
@@milestailsprower4555no they meant bach, it's a musical pun
A music theory teacher who can teach, a rarity.
I'm in Audio engineering 1st term and this is what we're learning. I'm having trouble with rembering the notes and what the represent ie. a whole, quater, 8th etc. do you have and tips on how to best lock that down?
I have a test tomorrow and I know I'm gonna flunk. please help.
Can I disconnect some connections? Fot example, 6 groups of 32nd notes in 6/8?
thanks harry potter
Wow Stephen this is such an awesome & interesting video I love it.😃👍
In 3/4 Why it cannot be beamed as separated Beams for each beat? I think it will be more clearer than this..
In 4/4 i think the answer is that the first and the third beat stronge and the second and fourth are weak so they are beamed with the stronger as you said the imaginary bar line
Hello. I don’t see part 2 of beaming.
OMG! I am so happy to see a new video from this channel!
yes, I agree.
Me too! 😉☺️👍🏻
Hi, how long or short can the stem be when beaming notes together?
Note: They are 2 dotted quarters in each measure of 6/8 but 3 dotted quarters each measure of 9/8
Two-level parsing rule.
The legend has returned.
Thank you sir ..learned a lot from your videos...👍
Welcome back mr. Guy! :)
Great videos - please could you do a session on tuplets
