Thank you for making these videos. You are helping countless students worldwide! I’m so grateful to have found your channel-I feel like I stepped into a goldmine
I am so grateful for you man. My teacher doesn't speak hardly any English, half of his lectures are in Spanish, and he barely explains anything. You and your videos are a lifesaver. Thank you so much!!!!!
Thank you so much for these videos! I really enjoy and rely on the depth of detail to each concept and the relatability of concepts to their bigger picture. You are a fantastic Professor and a major asset to the school!
Thank you so much!!! These videos are so helpful. Why do large-diameter lumens offer little resistance? I am having difficulty understanding the resistance concept.
Caitlyn Nichols Hi. Listen to 7:24 - 8:51 again. The large diameter arteries need to be able to accommodate/accept/receive the blood as it is pumped under high pressure from the heart. If they didn’t stretch then the resistance to flow from the heart would be too high. The heart would be over worked all of the time and less blood would actually be expressed from the heart. Coronary artery disease is this very scenario. The aplastic vessels also need to be able to reshape/snap back so that blood pressure is stabilized and flow is maintained during relaxation/diastole. This is my take anyway...
I am listening to this video like my life depends on it ,when sleeping, driving ,walking ,eating ,watching movies .
