  • Since I purchased this one from Trainz off eBay, perfect time for a review for both :)
I really like these Weaver U25B's with their two powered trucks with vertical can motors & their flywheels. MUCH better than the "old" weaver drive systems. Not sure how long these were in the Weaver Catalog I first see them in the 1996, but sometime just a few years later they were gone :(

You need to try a train of rail cars in all metal no plastic to get a real idea of the pulling power. Some old pre and post war Lionel cars in all metal construction is a lot heavier than the light weight plastic of the newer models. I use a string of #3469 Lionel coal dump cars in all metal filled with coal to demonstrate pulling power of all of my engines. Heavy as possible adding weight to simulate the real life engines also helps traction for greater pulling power. The guys into scale always over look the weight which to be closer to actual train needs to be heavier. I realize this video channel is not scale but does consider engine pulling power in rail car count which is generally fairly light weight rail cars.😊 Another limiting factor is tighter turn curves of 027 and standard 031 “O” track. You do a nice presentation.
