How can you make a bigger ripple in the world for traditional Catholic values?

I found this speech absolutely invigorating! Some of us women (myself) are fighting to stay at home and nurture our kids. Hardly anyone in my world understands why I dont want to throw my kids in day care/ school and go to work like the rest of our country. I've been criticized as lazy for choosing my vocation as a mother over a full-time job. I'm looked down upon bc I'm not using the skills I went to college for at this time. I'm looked at as financially reckless bc I should be more concerned about my retirement than raising and forming my kids. How dare I waste all that money on a college degree that im not using? And trust me, i tried the whole work full time and wear all the hats and juggle all the plates. Let me tell you, it did not feel rightly ordered. In this feminist secular world that says choose your career, not your kids. Choose abortion/ birth control so you can choose your career. A world that shames the thought of choosing kids over a career. And I once was of that mindset😢. And hardly being recognized for the work that IS done at home to boot by the secular world... ouch. "Independent woman" was forced down my throat for as long as I can remember. I once was of that mindset regretfully so in my younger years. Now God has lifted the scales from eyes, which is why i jumped out of my seat with joy when i heard this man's speech. I praise his every word. I found his speech to be quite spot on and commend him for standing up for us women who choose and are fighting for their vocation as a mother in a society who mocks SAHMs. I saw this as so refreshing and noble of him to say.

Such great words. And your kids sound awesome. I'm going to go listen to the entire speech now. I just caught a short Michael Knowles so far. Thanks for helping us wives find our joy in our vocation.
On a funny note, I thought his comment re "taming wives" was so true. It reminded me of Taming of the Shrew, one of my favorite Shakespeare plays.
EW skills have taught me to truly find that humility and to see Ryan though new eyes. Our husbands really are meant to tame us and teach us prudence.

I am behind him, too. How sad that women are being encouraged to think of themselves as "just a housewife"! I remember buying into that when I was younger. What a mess I caused trying to prove my worth as a housewife and mother.

The young women graduating from Benedictine College after toiling away for years, deserved to have their efforts acknowledged and congratulated.
Harrison Butker couldn't manage to do that.
He undermined their accomplishments by ignoring them altogether. Perhaps the young women do plan on being wives and mothers, but since they were at that very moment attending their graduation, why couldn't they be admired and celebrated for it?
That's a big part of what people are reacting negatively to. The young men graduating got no such lecture - only the women, though they worked just as hard as the men for their degrees.

What a world of illusion this is. If this is your world, enjoy. Heads up -- history is moving on.
