From the Doomsday side against Dredge, it's often better not to play around Coliseum. We can make a pile that always beats Grindstone, but not Coliseum unless it's a slow pile with Oracle + Oracle on top, and doesn't get interrupted.
This is such an interesting matchup! Now that I'm playing Thassa's Oracle, Doomsday players even asked me to create a hybrid deck combining both strategies. It's hard, but it can be fun!
Would definitely be interested to see a similar series about Pauper in the future. Dredge in Pauper feels very straight forward and pretty "solved". It would be very interesting to hear the opinions of the "legacy dredge master" on those lists.
For graveyard hate and protection against surgical and faerie macabre, how does Silent Gravestone seem to you? I figure it is a neat sideboard plan, just have to get rid of the dread return package. Wondered if it was a reasonable choice :) this series is fantastic btw, i am a huge fan!
Thanks! I like it a lot and sometimes I use Gravestones, but it is just too slow every now and then. You cast it, and your opponent does their thing. If the format slows down a bit more, they'll be good again.
How do you feel about streeth wraith? I use it in my turbo dredge, chain it to turn1 looting/study, it's extra fuel for ichorid (if you want to be more ichorid heavy) and it's the best thign ever when opponent surgicals your grave troll, you cyckle wraith to save it (this happens very rarely but is amazing)
I like it a lot! My first competitive dredge deck had 4 SW, but lately it seems like there's not enough space to include them. I will try them again soon.
Have you ever considered goblin lore in legacy dredge? Is is just a worse Breakthrough in your opinion? Thank you so so sooo much for your uploads: they are super entertaining and informative!
Ichorid only seems good in longer games, where we already have an advantage most of the times anyways. Would love to see street wraith as a counter to fairy macabre and other single tartget graveyard hate
I don’t understand: why do you get zombies at 38:43 ? It’s your turn, ichorid dies and DRC too. As active player, you should put your bridge trigger in the stack first, then opponent puts “exile bridge” triggers on stack. Their triggers resolve first, so bridges are gone. Why then do you still get 2 zombies when your triggers resolve? Am I missing something?
That's a common question when you start playing Dredge. The thing is, both triggers are yours! Both come from your card, Bridge from Below, so you can order them in a way that benefits you.

Goblin Lore isn't good enough for Legacy, but I always wanted to try it in Modern. Maybe next week?
