Good to see you again. I went to a VKL conference years ago (2014), and I agree that it's chaotic. I crochet and I took a few courses and it was not what I expected. When you crochet you hold the hook in one hand and I happen to be left-handed. The instructor actually told me she couldn't teach me because I was left-handed! I've never gone to another VKL activity.
What a bummer about that teacher! I’m not a teacher, but I did teach m left-handed friend to crochet - its just backwards mirroring each other. I’m sorry that person was so unwilling to try!
I love your podcasts because you are so supportive and appreciative of the women behind indie dye brands. I really love seeing how happy yarn makes you! and you do beautiful knitting, but they're not all pink!
I can see why you love the 'moonstone' mohair. I think holding it with Marie Antoinette would be beautiful. It would be lovely to use MA alone, too. I can't wait to see what you decide to make with those two.
Good seeing you again. Sorry I missed you at VKLNY23. Gorgeous Boucle yarn. While at VKL, I also stopped by the Wandering Flock yarn beautiful display. Beautiful Moonstone mohair. Glad that Camelia Fibers was across from Wandering Flock both designers had such beautiful yarn couldn't resist. I enjoyed LBA's fashion show. The samples are gorgeous in person, hard to pick a favorite. Sounds like you got your knitting mojo back. Can't wait to see what you knit with your beautiful yarns.
Hey Aro it's such a pleasure to see you back on UA-cam. You are on of my favorite knitters, I am inspire with your knitting. Happy to have you back.❤️💕🙏
Hi Aro!! It was so nice meeting at VKL on Saturday! 🤎 and welcome back! I’m glad you got your mojo back! I’m in a slump as well but I’m slowly crawling out of it! Can’t wait for your next podcast! Also the sweater knitted up in Driftwood was the Snowy Forest Sweater by Midori! I had the opportunity to sample knit that one up for The Wandering Flock!
Hi Aro. I met you last week at VKL in the Wandering Flock booth...of course! I also love the Moonstone colorway and picked up 4 DK skeins plus 2 mohair to make sweaters or vests for my 2 granddaughters. I have never knit with mohair but watching you has inspired me to try it!
I wish I had known you were at Vogue, I would have kept an eye out for you. UGH the tourist walk 🤦🏽♀️ Vogue sent out a survey after and I specifically wrote that Tomes Square is not an enticement to many of us attendees, especially locals. I would rather a more affordable venue AWAY from midtown. The cell service in that building is always terrible. Most returning vendors already know that but new vendors I guess weren't aware. I went to the Market on Sunday and it was WAY less crowded than I've ever seen it before (both in number of vendors and attendance). It was so much easier to get around but also a lot more empty. Rhinebeck is very different from VKLive. Saturday is way more crowded than Sunday and it's a way bigger event than Vogue. But there's plenty of places to escape the crowds and just hang out. Knowing your style yarns, you'd want to do more of your shopping at the pre events (Cakepalooza, Indie Untangled, etc). That's where you'll find the snake indie dyers. Rhinebeck has tons of farm vendors and less small indie dyers. But still tons of fun and interesting things to see! Also, nothing beats NY that time of year!
Hey Aro! Glad to see you back!! And I love the yarn you chose. Your so very talented in your knitting. I crochet but I'm interested in learning how to knit.
So great to see you on here again!! Also, I was so embarrassed when I uncontrollably and pretty audibly gasped when I saw your yarn and then realized it was you, and then said hello but it was soooo nice to meet you 💕💕
I attended VKL on Sunday and it’s a little overwhelming to me. If you survive VKL you will be just fine in Rhinebeck even though last year was very crowded you still have the option to get outside the barns and recharge. I don’t like crowded events either but I felt like even if it was nice to see so many vendors and activities I would not attend VKL again and will stick to other events less crowded or outside events like the sheep and wool of NY and NJ 😊
I heard another podcaster mention that they saw you at VKL and I was excited to see what you have been up to. Even if it is just imagined fantasy projects, your ideas are just as entertaining as your FOs, and WIPs.
“If it works for Clark Kent, it works for Aro” 😂
I felt the same way when I was a lifeguard wearing my sunglasses! IM IN DISGUISE!
You embody the “my colors are blush and bashful” life, and its awesome.
Absolutely love your sweater. I'm not an avid knitter so yeah, gonna take some classes, lol! Thank you for providing the links.
Ok but those last two skeins held together… I know they are different weights but the pinks!!!❤
So good to see your videos! Please say you are still planning to make a video on all of 2022 makes! Even if it takes till summer I’m happy to wait 😊

The question is: since Explorer Knits is coming out with some boucle, will you be buying? I'm fully into supporting your yarn buying :)

Wandering Flock is soooooo dangerous lol. I also have Dornie in my plans, gonna use a white worsted mixed with a pastel mohair

The first color from Wandering Flock that you said in the clip was exclusive, do you remember the name of it?
I thought the market place was a pleasure compared to 2020 which was bedlam... A lot of empty stalls....eek!
Did Geraldine have the Marie Antoinette in mohair in her stall? I saw it on her sight.
AT&T never works for me in NYC
