The way it works is weird. From my tests, a save that has been factory reset (brand new, or reset through homebrew) will always give both Neil and Ella red fire (Mario's special shots). However, if you erase the save file through Options in the Main Menu, the moment you start picking your character, the special shot for both characters is randomized between the 16 possible ones (16 characters in Toadstool Tour). As soon as you create your character, you can soft reset the game, go to Quick Game, and check which special shot they have. I lucked out with my save file for the Advance Tour walkthrough, since I kept on resetting to have Neil with Shadow Mario's nice shot, and Ella ended up getting Waluigi's nice shot. Recently, I figured out where these values are located in the save file. This should show where the location is along with which values correspond to which nice shot: pastebin.com/7CWCxqtb
Are you going to play Super Rush when it comes out? Sounds like a really cool Mario Golf game!
It looks great, and I'm planning on it!
@@ShadowMario3 Nice.
I certainly am! In fact, I’m preordering it!
how do you customize the type of "nice shot" you get? like blue fire vs blue line vs bowser fire
