We passed upon the stair We spoke of was and when Although I wasn't there He said I was his friend Which came as a surprise I spoke into his eyes I thought you died alone A long long time ago Oh no, not me We never lost control You're face to face With the man who sold the world I laughed and shook hand And made my way back home I searched for form and land For years and years I roamed I gazed a gazeless stare We walked a million hills I must have died alone A long, long time ago Who knows? Not me I never lost control You're face to face With the man who sold the world Who knows? Not me We never lost control You're face to face With the man who sold the world
Just found your channel after learning quite a few songs from other youtubers. Your versions are just spot on, you make the songs sound amazing on the uke! Without a doubt the best tutorials i have seen! Thanks a lot :)
Terry - how is your G string tuned? Is it an octave off the others? When I try the c major scale my g string is higher sounding then the c string. I am do the first two notes of the scale differently to get the same sound. I m enjoying the video!
Randal, I have a Low G string on my tenor ukulele. Many ukuleles come with a High G string, but I prefer a Low G because it gives you the extra low note which is great for scales and chords.
Okay. Thanks. I have a concert with a high G. I can tweak the scale to get at what you are doing! BTW - I love your app (though the main page could have a nicer "look"). I am enjoying working on the "Style of Let It Be." I am a novice so you are killing me with the flairs you add without explaining them! :)
i've got it all down but it would be nice to know the correct time/place to play the chords in relation to the lyrics. do you think you could post that in the description or something? thanks!
I feel like an ass for mentioning it, maybe you did it on purpose. The first run part of the chorus is 4 measures and the second half after the Dsharp chord is 3 measures in the David Bowie version and Nirvana.
No need to apologize for anything I truly appreciate your comments. I will have to go back and listen but I'm sure you are correct. Great job noticing.
Probably the best lesson i saw. Only 1 thing can be added: a full song with lyrics and chords|tabs at the start of the video.
Олег Жданов I'll add it in the description

Thanks Randal, I'm glad you're figuring out the difference between the High G and Low G string.
Uke Like The Pros I’ve been thinking about switching to a low g string. are chords that use the g string still the same or are there new chords?
Still a great tutorial Terry! Super nice tone on that KoAloha 😊

Awesome, thank you for commenting.
Thank you, if i send you a video of a ukulele version of this song with a more specific melody using the string plucks would you do a tutorial on it?

What about 4 4 4 4 2 4 5 4
on the last run through you forgot to put in the second FMaj scale before going back to the intro?
Gotcha thanks for catching that.
but how about that for having a good instructional video, I paid that much attention and through to the end. Thanks for the help
