  • In today's video I am reviewing a Husqvarna 330lk string trimmer. This is a great tool to have on our farm.
Let me know if this is helpful!
I purchased from Lowe's when it was on sale, and I got my moneys worth!

Once the machine is good and warmed up you want to adjust the idle speed screw so the trimmer head starts moving without any throttle, then back it off just till the head stays still. If you notice the trimmer head spinning while you’re working without giving it any throttle back it off a bit more.

my guy that is the rapid replace trimmer head you don't have to take off the bump cap to respool it you put the line with one piece through one of the eye guides out the other side and make the 2 pieces of line even then
crank the line in butt i like this one you should of went with the echo or shindiawa trimmers they have a bigger gas tanks for about a hour of run time over the Husqvarna's have a small gas tank for 30 mins of run time

With that head u just feed the string through the holes and turn it to load the string u dont have to take it apart its like a speed feed

I found this out, AFTER I tried spooling the head 😂 the speed restring feature is nice though!

Hopefully it lasts a long time for you and gives you no problems. Unfortunately this model is plagued with issues.
Best of luck and many blessings to you sir!

@MolesworthFamilyFarm okay, 3rd time trying to respond, my posts keep getting nuked. Probably because I was trying to link you to reviews of this item on husky website. But that's what I suggest, go read those reviews. They were enough to scare me away from buying one as I had intended. Biggest problem, a huge recall because it likes to catch on fire. I ended up with the Stihl KM91r.
Again though, I do hope you got a good one and don't experience any of those things!

@@MIZZtyler1991 thanks! So far so good here! I make sure to try and keep it clean and free of build up to prevent unexpected combustion... but you never know!
I've heard really good things about the sthil products but I couldn't find anything within my price range locally...

@MolesworthFamilyFarm I'm glad to hear! Keep an eye on engine temp when in use, that's what was causing them to ignite.....not build up.
What leaned me to Stihl (other than the reviews on the 330lk), was that I actually have a Stihl dealer in the tiny town that I live. I would have had to drive 40 mins to get the Husky or an Echo unit. So Stihl it was.
I do love my Husky 435 chainsaw though. Great little faller and firewood maker!

    What about oil ?

    • @MolesworthFamilyFarm
      @MolesworthFamilyFarm  2 місяці тому

The fuel mix that I am running is a 50:1 ratio of gas and oil.
The oil that came with the trimmer could be mixed with gasoline that would run just fine, but I know I'm not the most precise when it comes to mixing gas/oil so I buy pre mixed to keep it consistent.
