- Hi everyone. I'm doing an unboxing, assembly, and review of the Proyama 42.7cc 5 in 1 Multi Functional Trimming Tool. This tool has a hedge trimmer, string trimmer, brush cutter, pole saw, and extension.
I like Proyama, I have a few of their tools. What I like best is they engines and carburetors. I've never had to clean a carburetor on these tools. I've left old gas in these for 2 seasons and they still started right up. That's what I like, good reliable tools that don't need a carb cleaning every time you let them sit.
This tool is perfect for what I needed. Honestly I just need a gas pole saw. But why just settle for one tool when you can get 5 in one.
Gas mixture is 50:1

I am replacing a 38 year old weedeater so you know I am able to repair and maintain one. The first this I noticed on this machine was the awesome quality. This machine is built like I would build one, with lots of overkill built in. Instead of a "speedometer type cable running in a plastic guide, it has solid steel shafts with 1 inch splines on each end. This is running in bearings not plastic. Mine starts with only pulling the cord half way one time. The included hedge trimmer and pole saw have actual grease fittings (zerks) which I have never seen on one before. Everyone says that this machine is heavy. Set up as a weedeater/brushcutter it is 1.2 pounds heavier than my 38 year old brand name one plus it has 42.7 CCs compared to my old one of 24 CCs. This engine is quieter and quite a beast compared so I am more than happy with the minor extra weight. If you add the extension pole and a pole saw, of course it gets heavier. But you raise it up, cut a limb and bring it down. You aren't swinging it for an hour at a time either. I used the weedeater for over an hour and a half straight in a months growth of grass and it works like a champ. Most small engines only have a half crankshaft supported with a bearing between the pull starter and the engine. This one has a full crankshaft with bearings on both sides with the pull starter behind the engine. This causes less vibration. After running my old machine for about 30 minutes, my hands would shake for about an hour afterwards. I ran this one for an hour and a half straight and no shaking at all afterwards. In my opinion this machine is built equal to or better than any commercial machine on the market at a very affordable consumer price.
Thanks for the comment. I do like this company, I have a bunch of their tools. No issues with any of them.
The plastic fast reloads and bump head for my echo works really well. I have used the same echo and head for the last 3 years and the head is still intact. I just bought a new one yesterday only because I am too lazy to clean the carburetor.
Your comment gives me the confidence to pull the trigger on this. .thanks!
I think this is my first time watching your videos. Good video you used all the attachments. And I got everything I needed to know. Thanks.
Glad I could help!
Best video by far simple and direct
Thanks.
Thank you for video and thank you for all comments, very helpful to make a choice. 🤓
You bet.
Thank you I was so lost assembling this
Glad it helped
Thanks for the video! Been thinking about this proyama combo for a while now. Nice to get an idea of what I’m ordering, can’t wait to try it out when it arrives👍
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the info on changing the weed whacker head to the blades.
You bet.
Couldn’t find a spot in your video showing you connecting the first rod to the engine. That was the only help I needed the rest was easy.
It comes already connected.
Great video sir! No BS
Thanks.
Another video points out that the string that comes with many trimmers and even that on store shelves is often quite old. It suggested soaking new string in water to rehydrate it and restore its flex. I have not tried this yet.
Sounds like a good idea. This string was okay though.
I keep hearing this going to try it this week
Thanks for the video.. I've just bought one and this video was invaluable.. 🏡 Who needs a manual!! 😊
Glad it was helpful!
thank u,i live in Bahamas
You're welcome.
Thank you
You bet.
thank you

Nice
Thanks
Could it fit the Staton inc bicycle gearbox? Thanks
I wouldn't know.
Have you had any issue with the black handle slipping, mine does
I just tighten it up as needed.
how is it running today? does it seem like a reliable system 5 months later?
Yeah I like it. It's powerful. I keep it at work to take care of small trees that pop up in the gravel. But I'll be bringing it home here soon to use more around the yard, as it's that time of the year to do some yard expanding.
Great video, but brave doing that in shorts!
I don't wear pants at my own house!
Do you think you can use a universal cultivator on it
What's that.
@Nichols County is this unit very heavy? I'm debating on getting the 26cc unit instead since I've heard that the 42.7 is very heavy. What are your thoughts?
It's not that bad. But im pretty tall and can handle it.
@@NicholsCounty Do you think a backpack engine would facilitate the use of the chain pole or of the hedge trimmer for someone less tall and strong ?
Do you think this is a good option to start a small part time lawn care business?
Yeah. It's got some stuff you can use often.
Can you use the hedge trimmer attachment and saw on a echo?
I don't know. I don't have an Echo.
No
What about Stihl Kombi system?
I’m looking at their gas hedger on Amazon. Anyone have one and if so what do you think?
The hedger on this 5:1 tool worked pretty well.
Hai there. What oil for those automatic oil chain cutter.
Bar Oil
It’s been a year since you posted this video. Does it still work good?
Works fine.
How do you string the head
With a wrench
whats the total length of the pole saw
There is a link in the description with all that info.
What size of chain is it to replace
Not sure, you can probably just look at the link and figure it out.
@@NicholsCounty I found it its on the side of the blade thanks
Years later, how is it?
Works good.
Did your neighbor get mad at you for cutting his bushes?? LOL JK.
Those were my bushes.
I'm laughing in sympathy every time you try to move that reverse thread bolt system. I do it every day!
Oh yeah I do it all the time. Don't get me started on propane fittings.
What did you put on the little chainsaw tank? What type of liquid?
Bar oil
Bar oil. It's for common for all chain saws.
👍👍🇨🇦✌️🇨🇦✌️👍
Thanks for watching.
