I love that about this. The acting was so, so good. As was the directing. It makes near all the male-female romances I've seen look so lazy in comparison.

@@jmshwood2801 well untamed isn't bad in any means, I think both dramas are enjoyable in their different ways. honestly it's hard to compare the two but I guess word of honor would be better due to the fact that it's a newer release. the untamed is definitely a good watch though, especially if you're new to Chinese dramas. untamed is more about justice while word of honor is about, well, honor. both do have similar concept, such as both dramas has a certain object that will give the weilder power. untamed has the yin tiger tally while word of honor has the glazed armor. ah also untamed the drama isn't a boy love drama, the manhwa and novel are though. I could honestly write an essay for both shows lolol

I like the untamed but when compared to this, it is just on different level. Also because WoH pushed the censorship bond to the max to see what can be done and what can pass the censorship.. actually the untamed is not the first BL adaptation drama that was popular. Guardian was the first one who tried (and also got popular, at least in china and a bit in asia), but untamed is the first one that got so many international fans (and thus resulting in some fanwar and problems for the actors after the drama ended) so for me the one who opened the door is Guardian, the one who get the world's attention is The Untamed and the one who set the standart is Word of Honor. (and there is another drama too that I love titled Winter Begonia) maybe if you now try to watch the untamed, the feeling will be different than if you watch the untamed first then WoH.. because WoH set a new standart. for me, I prefer WoH, Winter Begonia and Guardian (simply because it is my first love)
The first few scenes in the video when they flirted I was giggling and curling up on my bed because of their cuteness. And then in later scenes when they are willing to die for each other I start to 🥺. The relationship development is truly amazing and admiring. This vid reminds me of how great the plot and the production process are when they could deliver and describe Lao Wen and Ah Xu’s love perfectly ❤️

I'm so choosy with the things I watched but this in and out the best drama I've ever watched really. No cringe worthy relationship No useless dog blood. Only past angsty, family, trust and unconditional love between the two character. ZZH and GJ are really great actor. Highly recommended. Word of Honor are really stepping up another level of BL genre drama.

I loved this drama. This is the first drama that touches relationship between two men that I liked. It is simple, soft and decent in terms of interaction between these two men.
I loved them playing when practicing how to impersonate. It is not here, but zz made a great wkx. Like that we know zz paid a lot of attention to wkx. He was just more discrete about it
The best thing for me about this entire show is the little gestures. I'm the kind of person that is intrigued and pulled in by the fluid and unbound truth that reveals itself in the subconscious acts and expression of people. Places like 1:03 and are perfect examples of 1:20 this. In these two shots, we see the transition of Wen Kexing from just another person to someone Zhou Zishu takes an interest in. Of course, the true beauty of it all, is the sincerity. Both are very straightforward in their actions with how they truly feel about one another although it can be easily written off. Kexing feels intense curiousity towards Zishu and pursues him shamelessly, hence the offering of the liquor. Zishu on the other hand is quite peeved by the attention, hence the brushing away of the hand. There are so many more words that could be said to describe how much these scenes mean. But in the end, it all boils down to a satisfying state of simplicity.

Here's a thought ..... I have read The Untamed novel, manhua, watched the donghua and the series numerous times exhausted my soul on wangxian and never thought i would have the strength to move on.. Is when WenZhou entered my life now i absolutely CANNOT get out of these two 🥲 somebody help!! I love how the moment they hit that crossing point from constantly rebuffed to quietly acknowledged (if generally unacted on on ZZ's part) attraction ZZ was BALDLY unafraid to play the demanding object of affection whenever he decided that it suited him. Especially since Lao Wen folded like wet paper so easily when he did.
I loved this show more than the untamed. The leads acted so perfectly from the beginning to the end. It instantly became my favourite because the storyline was very complex, unique and fight scenes were excellent - ex-untamed fan

Now I've watched both, no actually all three in the span of 3 weeks and I don't know what to do 😥 I even read the translations of the books for guardian and untamed! I loved this drama. This is the first drama that touches relationship between two men that I liked. It is simple, soft and decent in terms of interaction between these two men.
I loved them playing when practicing how to impersonate. It is not here, but zz made a great wkx. Like that we know zz paid a lot of attention to wkx. He was just more discrete about it
The best thing for me about this entire show is the little gestures. I'm the kind of person that is intrigued and pulled in by the fluid and unbound truth that reveals itself in the subconscious acts and expression of people. Places like 1:03 and are perfect examples of 1:20 this. In these two shots, we see the transition of Wen Kexing from just another person to someone Zhou Zishu takes an interest in. Of course, the true beauty of it all, is the sincerity. Both are very straightforward in their actions with how they truly feel about one another although it can be easily written off. Kexing feels intense curiousity towards Zishu and pursues him shamelessly, hence the offering of the liquor. Zishu on the other hand is quite peeved by the attention, hence the brushing away of the hand. There are so many more words that could be said to describe how much these scenes mean. But in the end, it all boils down to a satisfying state of simplicity.

I have read The Untamed novel, manhua, watched the donghua and the series numerous times exhausted my soul on wangxian and never thought i would have the strength to move on.. Is when WenZhou entered my life now i absolutely CANNOT get out of these two 🥲 somebody help!! The amount of love flirting and tension was in this drama that i binged watched 36 episodes in 2 days! 🤧 HATS OFF TO THE WHOLE CAST AND CREW OF THIS PRODUCTION. I hope there would be another Wuxian Danmei with Gong jun & Zhang Zhehan

Its funny how I saw them in the exact same order 🤣 I just wish I saw untamed and word of honor sooner. Or at least was interested in them sooner. Now I've watched both, no actually all three in the span of 3 weeks and I don't know what to do 😥 I even read the translations of the books for guardian and untamed! I'm a little scared to read word of honor to be honest, though I still want to 😅 I guess I should. I'll probably come back to watch the drama again
