I could get used to having Workshop Thursday as well as Wednesday 😂
My dad was a 'small businessman.' He used to drill us with customer service 'rules.' One was: once you've set an expectation, meet it. If you open 5 minutes early, that's the new opening time. One can dream 😉
@@busterdee8228 Old guard businessman. Grandpa was like this too. Whenever i'd innovate or do more than usual, he said the same. "Good job, kiddo. This is the new norm." :))
Trot Out Thursdays perhaps? 😂
@@arghjayem tank time Thursday or turret talk Thursday, there’s already tinkering with tanks in the UK
@@aserta 🙂
Having a running Panzer I Ausf. B is almost as rare as a running Tiger! Aus Armour is such an amazing collection of people hell bent on restoring vehicles with true Aussie ingenuity instead of being hung up by not having the exact period correct nuts and bolts... Don't get me wrong because I love all those "matching numbers" exhibits out there, but these things are rarer than hens teeth and it's always better to display history than keeping the rusty mangled parts in a box waiting for the missing parts that don't exists?!
The only sad thing is that you're so far from me... But if by chance a miracle does happen so I can travel once in my life to Australia like I've always dreamt of, you're the first place I'm visiting!!!
Huge thanks for restoring and saving all this history for the next generations before it's too late.
Greetings from Sweden
As an Australian who’s visited the museum in Cairns I can highly recommend it.
I spent 4 hours in awesome tank and artillery heaven!
The Overloon Museum in the Netherlands is a bit closer :)
I love the early war tanks and would rather own this or a panzer 2 than a tiger
Smashing job 👌👍guys ❤
@@FrancSchiphorst But do they have the amazing range of exhibits and stuff that actually works you can ride in like at OZ Armourfest in August I doubt it
Geez that is looking good. Great work lads. I'm sure the Germans would be impressed with how a few Aussies have restored one of their tanks!
🇩🇪 approved this message!
Great work indeed this Panzer 1 is Wunderbar Greatings from Germany !
This German is impressed 😂
🇩🇪 And another German being impressed! Amazing job, guys!
🇩🇪 and another one, very good job as always!
When I was younger it was all about the Tigers and Panthers but nowadays I get such a kick out of these early/inter war tanks. What a gorgeous job you guys have done, bravo!
Same here!
A hearty pat on the back for Daz and Jezza for their exemplary work on this Tank
I’d like to think everyone here built models and GI Joe sets when they were kids and this is the grownup version. This is once again a work of art.
This is model building at 1to 1 scale
I had GI Joes as a kid in the ‘70s and then went on to build dozens of tank models! Just got back into it a few years ago.
@@lewyocom4724 I can live with my One Sixteenth scale running M 41 A3 Walker Bulldog for the moment but boy do I want one of those all metal Tiger Ones in one Eight scale
This is Panzer GREY.
I mean tbh welding armour together is similar to glueing armour onto a 1:72 sherman with alot more skill involved but same concept
Love to preserve those parts with original markings. Gorgeous restoration. Congrats from Spain🎉
Absolutely love watching people who love their jobs, work. I spend half my time going "Wow", the other half laughing. Wonderful series, thank you so much for sharing.
Absolutely brilliant work guys .I’m a trucker in the UK.With your Workshop Wednesdays you’ve made the chore of waiting to be loaded and unloaded a joy!.Please keep up the great work 👌
I'm actually a bit stunned by the sight of a Pz 1 Ausf B running around in Australia of all places! Even after all these years you blokes never ceasev to amaze me with the miracles you do in restoring these vehicles.,
And I actually saw the engine deck of this particular vehicle sitting on a pallet in the workshop on my first ever visit there back in 2018. I recognised it for what it was never thinking it would ever be part of an actual running Panzer 1, and now here it is which is just so very appropriate and just simply fantastic!
Absolutely brilliant work guys 👏
Saying the work is outstanding is just an understatement. There is such a sense of gratitude among this community for the staff at Aus Armor taking the time, putting in the effort and dedication to make these videos and sharing with us the incredible accomplishments and history of these vehicles. Thank you sincerely from a one man in the US who looks forward to Wednesday and any day we get to see the hard work the staff puts in to bring our shared history back to life. Well done.
Fan-bloody-tastic!
Thanks to all the lads involved with this project.
Absolutely beautiful result. What an incredible restoration/rebuild. It's so satisfying watching two complete metal working master craftsmen like Darryl and Jesse bringing these machines back to life. As an amateur military historian and enthusiast I cannot say enough how much I enjoy this channel. And a BIG thank you to Kurt for bringing these rebuilds to us each week. 👏👏 🥰
Just remarkable..! 85 years after the Blitz. Thanks for the Thursday bonus episode, best wishes to all at the The Australian Armour & Artillery Museum and those that support their efforts!
You folks never fail to satisfy! Thanks for your efforts.
Ah fantastic, the retrofitted diesel sounds excellent!!! Hard to believe only 6 left! I really am looking forward to the Wespe!
You guys pulled off a real winner. Love seeing these come back to life after so many decades
A new masterpiece added to the collection
Great job.
The work you guys do is just amazing. Preserving and where necessary re-creating an important piece of military and mechanical history.
One of my favourites! I need to go back and see how it was at the start. Best of luck for a great AusArmourFest!
Seeing Darryl so happy makes my day ! Wonderfull work fella's !!!
As someone interested in afv from ww2 for building models, I had been a little dismissive of the Panzer 1 and 2, Grants/Lees until watching your restoration work. I will be getting models of the Panzer 1 and 2, as I already have of the Lee and Grant. Your videos are a great help to modellers and the work of restoring these vehicles is historically important. Keep up the good work.
Yay - “COMPELTE”!!!
Well done boys, brilliant work.
Amazing job! From less than zero to a real, running Panzer I. All of you at Aus. Armor must be deservedly proud.
Always amazed that an assorted crate/pallet of parts and plates, wheels, suspension leaf springs etc. can be crafted & welded back together to such a high degree of detail in bringing back a little piece of history. Well done to the team.
Fantastic! Thank you for keeping this historical vehicle alive
Looks absolutely stunning. Incredible of what you were able to do with the original parts, and the newly manufactured ones really do fit in nicely.
What a pleasure this has been to watch it get built
Amazing guys!!! Awsome👍👏👏👏
Guys, you're awesome! What you create on wheels and tracks, practically from nothing, is incredible!
I love watching your videos because your work is so great! 👍👍👍
Outstanding!
What a magnificent beast cruising the track, even without her twin GPMG's. Fantastic work again...
Love seeing these old bits of kit being bought back to life and given a new lease on life!. A piece of history for future generations to ponder over!. Nice one, nuff said!.
i love watching videos like this! theyre very therapeutic. i found this channel yesterday and i am already subscribed!
You have a lot of catching up to do and every minute will be fabulous enjoy an amazing work ethic never say die attitude to bringing these historical marvels back to life and it is without a doubt likely the best Armour and Artillery Museum in the World where else can you ride around in such vehicles as people do at Aus Armour Fest in August
Awesome job fellas!! Keep up the great work! 👍🇦🇺👍
One of my favorite builds so far.... Well done to all of you!
You guys deserve as many accolades as the original designers and builders.
I never thought I’d be watching these videos for so many years. The guys at Australian Armor Museum do such great work. I look forward to every episode. The never disappoint.
Just like straight out of the factory, fresh. Very nice!
If you had told Hitler in the 1930's that his ... ahem, finest panzers would be constructed in Australia in the 2020's, I'm sure he would envision it far differently than as was shown in the video.
@@FrancisFjordCupola okay?
Outstanding work gentlemen… love this channel! 🤗😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Как игрушка! Класс!!! Когда в бокс вернулся, ждал когда вылезет механ в черной униформе панцерваффе😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤝🏻🤝🏻🤝🏻
Having followed this build from the beginning ,I so happy to see it in it's present form of mobility and just not a static display congratulations
Beautiful restoration . . Your enthusiasm, knowledge and technical skill’s when working is a joy to see. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely stunning - love the way you kept the original paint on that hatch, including the welds that point to how these little tanks were used. Great job.
Shermans and Tigers and Panthers, oh my! But this, hands down is the stunner. Magnificent work, Gentlemen, MAGNIFICENT!! Wish I could get to see it first hand, as it is certain to be even better than the already excellent videos. Have a grand Oz Armor Fest.
Love the outro music; but hate hearing it, as it means the end of an episode is imminent.
Wow, that's fantastic. Well done guys.
That would look lovely strategically placed in my back garden rockery.
What a joy to see it finally finished and running well.
The Germans were sticklers for detail. The little cutouts for sight clearance are just enough overboard. Very cool.
It looks good. Nice job Jessy and Darryl. Jason always does a good job of stencilling.
Another fantastic piece of history preserved for future generations. Top work everyone!
Those lads are magicians with what they do with steel my hats off to them all. Great work! Panzers march …
Kurt thank you for the thursday fix
and to all the team you did a cracking job once again the Panzer 1 looks fantastic
Huge thumns up guys !! Exceptional work ...👍👍👍👏👏👏
I love you guys adding water to the track to make it muddy for the event
So nice to see a mark 1 panser. I don't believe the Bovington tank museum has one, but when l last visited two years ago they had not. Glad you have one in your collection, it could not be any further from it's original location of Germany now. Considering how many were made originally not many survived ww2.
Thank you gentleman for sharing that journey and all the others you've accomplished. Look forward to the next project.
Fresh out of the factory. Beautiful work, gentlemen!!! 😍
Excellent work! And what a beautiful rare early war example. You made the right call installing the modern drivetrain, it sounds the business and will be serviceable.
I'm always amazed at what you guys can and do. But I'm just in awe. Fantastic achievement 😉
Loved watching the Panzer I running today at Armour Fest. I hope to see it running tomorrow, after seeing it towed. Amazing job guys, looks bloody awesome.
Thanks for the bonus episode. She looks fantastic.
Either I am going mad or yay lol. Workshop Thursday
What a great Journey. Thanks Darryl and Jessy for thant incredible job.
IT is allways a pleasure whatching you at youre work.
Thanks für safing that rar peace of history.
Amazing to see how quickly tanks went from smaller, thinner armor and minor armaments to the giant in every aspect tanks later in the war.
You've made a silk purse out of a sow's ear 👍👍 Well done ✅
What a beauty. Amazing job by the crew. Thanks for restoring history with such an overlooked vehicle.
These lads are class. It's a pleasure to watch them work.
What a cute little panzer. Great work on the restoration looks great
Great job as always. It is nice to have a working Banza 1! It was meaningful to know the function of the machine gun installation. And it was a pleasure to see the tanks revived by your careful work. Thank you!
Impressive as always! Workshop Wednesday/Thursday is one of my top channels to watch on UA-cam! Cheers from Missouri USA
That is one fine looking vehicle! Something about the dark grey, those clean markings you lads put on it... just excellent.
Daryl and Jess you are bloody magicians, an absolutely amazing job and Kurt your filming and editing are incredible, to the whole crew of Aus Armour thank you for your service and dedication to restoring these beautiful machines, Best wishes from Tasmania
This is such a fantastic project
Excellent Video Kurt and indeed, excellent end to the Panzer 1 project which Daryl and Jesse have worked so hard to achieve. Well done!
Annnnnd your mechanical magicians did it again! Well done to the crew, Good on ya all!
Wow what a beauty. The Panzer I and its variants are some of my favorites. I am a big sucker for early WWII armor.
The reason the MG's were advanced from one another was actually because of the MG feed/ejection system. And definitely not because of space saving considerations. To explain; internal and to some extent external MG systems on German tanks dumped both the empties and non disintegrating link belts into a canvas pouch located to the right of the feed/fire mechanism. In order to save both the belt for later reloading and spent brass from rolling around inside the vehicle, canvas pouches were attached to the ejection side of the MG itself. They were rather bulky arrangements and for it to work on the Pz.Kpfw I the gun had to be advanced of the other. In some instances, a box magazine was used instead of a belt of bullets and that advanced position allowed for box magazines to be used also.
Thanks for detailed info.👍
Very good job! Congratulations from Berlin. 😊
Great addition to the collection
Прекрасный результат, отличные мастера. Приятно было посмотреть.
Absolutely amazing work! Great job, fellas!
excellent work guys! Panzer 1 lives again!
Congratulations on the great job you have done on this restoration. You all are a credit to the trades you bring to the work you've undertaken. Terrific. John
Good graces, you guys AB SO LU TE LY knocked it out of the park with this one. Incredible transformation from ... scrap, literal scrap to this magnificent running restoration. Top work, chapeau, all the ovations. Everyone in that shop is aces in my book.
Love me some Thurkshop Thursday! ! That Panzer 1 is a beauty!
That tank came out a lot better than what I thought it was going to! Nice work guys!
"Not a bad job"....Understatement of the year.
Awesome work as always. Brilliant extra video this week. Have a fantastic Aus Armour Fest this weekend. See you on the next one. 😊
Said it before and I'll say it again, honestly the best channel on youtube!
Truly top notch all the way! The lads did a brilliant job on completing this cool and incredibly rare piece of history. One of my favorite things to do is to watch all the mastery and artistry that you all do there. These episodes always add true joy to my day. Again, top notch.
