I also thought that most of the games looked very similar and very familiar but actually, part of that is that the trailers are very similar.
They show things with visual impact like explosions, running and gunning, and grotesque looking creatures. I assume that it's more difficult to show great user interfaces, good plotting, at least slightly believable characters, minimum repetitive game loops, etc.
Also, there really is a difference between a frost punk builder and an FPS shooter and making/managing a dozen clones of yourself.
Really want a good stealth game or something like that to drop. Like wildlands or even splinter cell would be so sick

Ill is just a tech demo. We'll have to face it, gaming as it used to be is a thing of the past. AAA publishers are insanely risk-averse and most mid-tier devs can't finish their games.

LLL looks like live-service, Anthem/Division type game. ILL on the other hand, looks amazing. The Thing mixed with Blair Witch.
I hope Exoborne does really well and help Vampire the Masquerade Bloodhunt. A lot of people still love that game. Sharkmob really screwed us with the unfinished crossplay because I can't even team up with my PC friends.
A Silent Desolation HEAVILY reminds me of Pragmata! The lunar Sci-fi theme, guy in spacesuit, being on the moon, hacking devices etc. it looks like Pragmata to me, (minus the backpack loli.) This game should hopefully tied me over until Pragmata releases.

quite a few definitely are similar, and thats why i choose the superior looking game, for instance, to buy dying light 2 now or dead island 2, both have brutal combat, guns, good story, and more, howevr, parkour in DL2 is insane, so id choose that.
Games are expensive and most are near identical when you look at them holistically,
However , i must say, banishers ghost of new eden was very good, new IP and good combat and story

Anyone get a very slight "Far Cry game" vibe from stalker 2 from how the trailers look? Probably not a bad thing though since we're just used to the gamma and efp modpacks for another mod of the original game.

Besides the obvious Ghost Recon and Sniper Elite games, are there any other 3rd person shooter -military games out there anyone can recommend? Already played all the old Syphon Filter and Metal Gear as well. Can't play FPS, any suggestions would be appreciated.

@@stan_p I do not think so, because this game is made by people, who had shot a film 'Best in hell" (yeah, the same name). This film was shot by Wagner group. I recomend to watch, because it is more anti-war film than war film, fighters there are not painted in blach or white - both sides of conflict are grey. And I hope, that the game will save this concept.

Also "greyification" is well known russian propaganda take which shifts perspective and implies both sides of conflict are equally guilty. Russia is aggressor in this conflict, attacked first and we must not forget it.
