I don't remember this being explicitly stated in the books either. I think when Hagrid first tells the trio about Azkaban, he phrases his explanation like there are more "imprisoning" things in the wizarding world than mere enchanted walls, thus meaning the Dementors as prison guards -- being imprisoned in your own head, so to speak. But never once did I think that they wouldn't have any actual walls. How do we even have to imagine the prison then? A large field where random prisoners sit next to each other desperately on the lawn wallowing in hopelessness and despair? I also distinctly remember Sirius talking about his cell (and Barty Crouch Jrs as well), or am I imagining things?
@@86upsmaya Yes, I gathered as much, hence my attempt at an explanation/interpretation 😄. It's hinted that it doesn't need them because being captured in one's own head would be worse than any prison cell imaginable. Still, the thought of a wall-less Azkaban has me in stitches for some reason 🤣

I agree it would be nice to go back and revisit the books & movies for the first time again. Also how about in the GoF with angry Dumbledore (very out character) & also that was the year no one got a hair cut, smh
If you ever have the chance to hear Jason Issacs talk about Lucius Malfoy, like half the scenes he is in were mostly improvised by him. He chose the long blond wig and the cane snake wand and the outfit. Originally the crew had Lucius in a suit with short hair. He was like, "This man hates muggles, why would he look like one?" The whole end scene was him improving. He asked the crew for a good curse and they said: "Avada Kadava"...which is how that bit happened. He also improved hitting and kicking Dobby. The director was like, "What are you doing?" "I hit Dobby and then kicked him." they looked at the head of the CGI crew who shrugged, allowing it. The whole "I hope mister Potter is around to save the day" line was improved by him and then BABY DAN Improved the "I will be line." The "Draco don't touch" bit was also improved and Jason said he didn't realize that the fangs on his can were sharp and he accidentally broke poor baby Tom's skin and like a trooper he held in his tears until the scene was done.
that was really funny, I found myself agreeing with everything you were saying about the films! great job making it all the way through! would you ever consider doing a video comparing the battle of hogwarts and the flaw in the plan chapters to what happens in the film and what they did differently? it seemed like you maybe had more to say on that, but were too tired to talk about it by the time to got to that point in the films. if it's something you're interested in doing, i'd definitely be interested in hearing more of your thoughts on the differences between the books and films. either way, thanks for making so many awesome videos!
I love how Harry always brings it around full circle saying something that someone else said at the beginning but saying it at the end if that makes sense
I thought this was clickbait because I legit always thought for some reason that it took more than 24 hours to watch them all and who tf can stay up that long or would want to but then when you mentioned it only being like 18 hours I realized I was very wrong and was either factoring in time to eat, sleep go to the bathroom etc or I just can’t math! 😂

I actually freaking love David Tennant he's so amazing! His Barty Crouch Jr. is incredible
The ENTIRE series after the Prisoner of Azkaban relied on the fact that the night in the shrieking shack was a full moon and Lupin forgot to drink his potion.
"McGonagall is the best character and if you don't believe that you're wrong."
*Severus Snape:* allow me to....Introduce myself.
And then immediately leave because I bully children
@@MEG4nerd He's my favorite character. Yes he was a shithead but GOD his personality and backstory and development ohhh muah I love it. I freaking love morally gray characters they're so fascinating.
@@acemstudio he was an asshole and that's perfect. I love him
@@acemstudio there is shit head and there is being the ultimate worst fear of a child who had his parents tortured to insanity
@@MEG4nerd Ok SNAPE didn't torture Neville's parents Bellatrix did. And honestly like.....I mean Snape IS a Death Eater with his vibes I'd be kind of scared of him too if I was a student.
He's still a fascinating character lol
'Especially Crabbe, he changed A LOT in those ten years' Ahahahaha :P
"Seamus Gorman uploaded-"
*clicks*
Title should've been "Let's watch Seamus's brain slowly deteriorate after staying awake and staring at a screen for over 20 hours straight".
"McGonagoll is the best character of you don't believe that your wrong"
Strange coming from someone who has been saying snape is the best character for years
Next video: "I read all Harry potter books in one sitting"
ngl that would take me months :D
I love the series still would watch them back to back did this christmas and even with the first fantastic beast. Potterhead always.
"Morning" - George Weasley
5:38 Dumbledore did know he just didn't know how many!
That is what I said
for cinematic reasons it makes sense that voldi doesn’t have red eyes since his aesthetic is green/blue/black and harry’s colours are red/brown/gold
this bruv here just stayed up till 5 in the morning for us
clap* clap*
There was a mistake when they sent the death eaters to azkerban-they got rerouted to the triangle of terror
4:00 The real spell is Slugulus Eructo.
That laughing scene you thought was awkward was a blooper they kept in. So yes, they got along.
I don’t know how I never understood the ‘did you and Ginny do it then?’ Line until now.
Watching the Harry Potter Films in One Sitting Challenge
Potterheads who do marathons every day: Look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power
Wait, why would “the whole point of Azkaban being that it didn’t have walls”? I don’t get it. It’s a prison. Of course it has walls?
no because it doesn’t need them. the prisoners don’t have the power to escape because of the dementors. the dementors make them loose all hope
@@D0MiN0ChAn they say that Azkaban dont NEED walls, doesnt specifically say if it has or not
@@86upsmaya Yes, I gathered as much, hence my attempt at an explanation/interpretation 😄. It's hinted that it doesn't need them because being captured in one's own head would be worse than any prison cell imaginable. Still, the thought of a wall-less Azkaban has me in stitches for some reason 🤣
Me: just got off plane, it’s 3 am and have to go to school at 6
Also me: LEtS WaTCh a SeaMOuS goRDaN viDeO!

Deathly Hallows Part 1: Bill Weasley’s expression when Fleur Polly juiced as Harry hands him her bra 😂😂😂😂😂
2:35 the tasks where to test the trio (you Can watch supercarlin brother Dumbledore theory for more info). Dumbledore coulve literally handed quirell the mirror and put it in his office and quirrel would still be unable to get the stone
I love how Seamus’s hair magically grew back
Love this!
Word of advice: when having a movie marathon start early so you can end earlier. If you're doing 18 hours, start at, like, 3-4, so you can go to bed when you're done at 9-10.
Seamus: “McGonagoll is the best character. If you don’t think so your wrong.”
Me: “IM RIGHT!!!!” 😝
21:14 I only saw two seconds of that scene and it managed me to tear up
AHHH OMG I LOVE YOU
THIS is my favorite video EVER.I will be coming back to it many more times, thank you sir
I agree it would be nice to go back and revisit the books & movies for the first time again. It would be really fun to revisit them without knowing any theories and backstories and just enjoy them like we did in the beginning.
He was like, "This man hates muggles, why would he look like one?"
The whole end scene was him improving. The whole "I hope mister Potter is around to save the day" line was improved by him and then BABY DAN Improved the "I will be line."
The "Draco don't touch" bit was also improved and Jason said he didn't realize that the fangs on his can were sharp and he accidentally broke poor baby Tom's skin and like a trooper he held in his tears until the scene was done.
*“I’m enjoying because she is someone who is really dislikable.”*
-Seamus Gorman 2020
Makes sense /s
that was really funny, I found myself agreeing with everything you were saying about the films! great job making it all the way through! would you ever consider doing a video comparing the battle of hogwarts and the flaw in the plan chapters to what happens in the film and what they did differently? it seemed like you maybe had more to say on that, but were too tired to talk about it by the time to got to that point in the films. if it's something you're interested in doing, i'd definitely be interested in hearing more of your thoughts on the differences between the books and films. either way, thanks for making so many awesome videos!
You mentioning the Toy Story video reminded me I need to do my weekly rewatch of all the toy story films/shorts. Be right back.
I rewatched all HP movies during Christmas break. Same feeling and emotions after all these years!
Wait... his hair actually grew back that fast? That’s epic
Please read through the entire comment... yk if you have the time.
1:12 the boy who lived......
Kills
To live
And endangers his friends
Then people die for him
And he says
"I never wanted any of you to die for me"
So Neville decides to kill instead of die......
Seems like the hp series has a "kill or die" policy.
