Well, I mean there's other reasons why people like emulation tho, like the convenience of having the ability to play any games you want all on one system as opposed to having several different games consoles that has to be set up individually. That and honestly I'd rather launch a rom and have fun rather than having to fight with an actual NES to get the game to play

Thank you, Steve! ❤ I remember years ago I was at a yard sale and this elderly man was selling Chrono Trigger(cartridge only) for $5. I just didn't have it in me to fuck him over. I told him what he had and he thanked me for my honesty and when I bought some other games from him, he ended up giving me that copy of Chrono Trigger. Sometimes doing the right thing pays off in it's own right.
You had a choice that day and you made the right one. That is a proper way to earn a game. And honestly, even if he said I'll sell it to ya for $20 that still would have been great. I just have a hard time with these resellers because I can't fathom being that way towards people. I'm too nice I guess.
@Heckin' Steve Exactly! The way I look at it is if they know what they have and they want to sell it cheap, that's one thing. However these people have no idea what they have and I bet if they did, they wouldn't be selling the box for $30. Some people say "well that's their fault for not looking it up online ", but that's where you as a person have a choice to do the right thing. And what really is cruddy is that it's not even for their collection. It's all going right up on ebay to destroy retro collecting. 😫
It's not only in video games also in collectibles cards.. Remember at my local walmart, a guy took 2 blasters away from a 9 year old boy.. Blasters panini prizm was $20 but resellers sold them for anywhere from $75 to $150 a blaster. That was during the pandemic.. Appreciate you bringing attention to these people. Happy Memorial day..
Oh yeah, about 2 years ago I wanted to collect football cards but got pushed out of that hobby too. Thank you resellers for ruining cards and games for me!
That's sad... I had that happen to me when I was kid once. I found a mystery hotwheel (blacked out couldn't see inside it) I was like look, look, what I found (step-dad) ... and some old man / lady snatched it out of my hands and walked away.
To those of you defending this reseller, do you really think that taking advantage of someone's ignorance is what ethical business people do? No, that is what con artists do. Someone running an ethical business would aim for all of their business transactions to be win-win situations and this one was clearly a win-lose situation. He easily could have offered those people more money for those games and still made a huge profit in the process. If the people selling the games went to sell them to a brick and mortar store, do you think they would have just been offered $30 for all of those? Depending on where they went, they could have easily have been offered anywhere between $150 and a few hundred dollars and the store that bought those still would have made a huge profit off of them. Even DK Oldies would have given them more money than this reseller did. If this guy is supposed to be a professional regarding game prices, then wouldn't it have been unprofessional of him to not tell those people that they are severely undervaluing the games they are selling? He easily could have given them $300 instead of $30 and still have made a huge profit on this pickup and that would have been much more of a win-win situation. Even if he gave them $1,000 for the games, he still would have doubled his money and that would be a very good deal for him. In certain industries, a profit above a certain margin is illegal, but that isn't the case in game reselling because it would be difficult to prove because resellers can just lie about how much they paid for something. So for those praising this guy and resellers like him, keep in mind that what he and they are doing would be considered a financial crime if they were selling something other than used games.
People like this guy in the original video are scum. He knew they were moving so he was already trying to scam them it's what shady salespeople do they check you up to find out not only how much money you approximately have but how desperate you are to sell/ buy something
It’s the equivalent of a plumber coming over to your house and charging you $600 for a 15 minute inspection because of customer ignorance. I’m not a plumber but I work in the trades. When my mom told me that day, I called the plumber and he refunded my mom $500. I told him how dare he take advantage of an old lady. Fck this reseller!!!!
These resellers makes me sick I feel sorry for that family who he brought all the games from your totally right dude theses are the types of people who Fuck it up for others collecting game's
$30 for the box? You’re right, WAY more than $1K profit. The dude could have had some decency to go back and give those people more money!! This is bad 😢
This is sick! When you find games at that price you don’t negotiate at all. Could’ve been kind to count all the games and console & gave her a better deal. It’s unfortunate
He could've just offered 100 bucks for the box. Personally if I was the seller I'd have said 200 or 300 for the box, and offered no deal as it's already discounted heavily anyway
Great video, I needed a laugh today! My personal favourite line was "Man, I haven't played guitar in a very long time. But I might need to write your ass a song......called F#&$ YOU" 🤣🤣🤣
heart dropped when I heard her say $30.. Also the reseller already shows up to this sale short on cash. The dude needs to hit up the ATM after those sales and give her at least 50% of all his earnings if he was really grateful for the deal.
It’s such a shame that a community that is typically happy has to be road blocked by greedy people asserting themselves in a hobby that is already expensive.
OMG as someone who grew up with a lot of those weeb games that are shown in this lot this made me feel like I was an episode of the Twilight Zone I was screaming this is legitimately painful. Greed is a sin.
There are people risking their lives everyday working at a factory or metal processing company and these people make more money everyday by swindling people. This is tragic.
I have been watching a lot of your videos recently. I do enjoy the perspective. However, a garage sale deal is all about both parties being happy with the transaction. Most people have garage sales to get rid of stuff. The work that goes into selling a collection like that is a lot. I am a reseller who obviously tries to buy things at the lowest price possible to be able to resell them for the highest price possible. Whenever I buy something I never seal a deal if the other party isnt happy. You have to realize that those same people in that same situation would have donated those items to a goodwill if no one bought them. they have it out in a garage sale because they want to get rid of it without having to put much work into offloading it. but anyways, enjoy watching your videos for what they are. keep it up.
Thanks for the big reply! $30 was too low for this. He should have at least put $100. He knew he was being wrongful with this but he didn't care. Regardless of effort he puts in he still did those ladies wrong. And then he's listing games over Price Charting value because he's the only US seller! That dude is just a piece.
As an honest and honorable video game reseller this makes me absolutely sick. This is what I hate about it all - the bottomfeeding exploitation of our fell human beings. I'd have straight up emptied my wallet, handed it over and said "This is all I have right now. I know you asked for $30 but to me this is worth much more. Here is $324 and I will return within the hour with more." I'd even literally tell them that I'm a reseller, I make no attempt to hide it. I'm not ashamed of what I do and I pay very high, 50% to 70% and I'm only making 15-35% a lot of the time for a lot of tedious work. I'm not a greedy parasite. And in the past, when I was new and unknown - some people thought this must be the kind of stuff I do and they looked down on me. Now I have a reputation as a fair dealer.
It's a shame that there's so many pitiful resellers like See Donuts that has to maximize the dollar for financial gain and to get a "win" in their minds. Like you said man, he could have paid $200 easily and still made $1000+
Another thing I hate is always asking for a deal. Like wtf? Someone wants $50 for a $90 game and they say would you do $40? Fuck off lol. @@steviefreakinc
I don’t think he’s trying to be friendly per se. He’s trying to alleviate himself of the guilt by pretending that he was friendly. That’s my theory anyway. He knows he’s getting away with something and he doesn’t feel quite right but he’s trying to get rid of that feeling. His conscience will soon be rendered void if it hasn’t been already. I don’t know if he’s married but he won’t be able to say anything when his wife goes to get the car repaired and comes home with $1500 and repairs that she didn’t even need.
Even if this lady didn’t give a shit about video games… how did she go from $2 per game to $30 for it all? That’s just really bad math on her part. Even if she multiplied $2x total number of games in that box, that would be substantially MORE than $30. She literally screwed herself over on that even if she didn’t know jack shit about games.
"I have all the consoles" YEAH I love how this reseller uses the idea to butter them up to make it seem like he is going to play all of these or most of these games.. to try to win them over to sell to him. Playing with their emotions man. More like "Yeah I have all the consoles as I'm selling them all!" lol
Heh I worked at a thrift store and I've heard it all from people trying to get a lower price. Working and dealing with these kind of people, for me it goes into one ear and out the other, just pay me what the price says it is, I don't care why you want it. Before working there I use to sell stuff on ebay and know half of our customers are resellers just from running into them all the time at sales and stores. I always told my co-workers %96 of the time any questions asked the answer is always NO 😂
Ugh this is a tough one man... you know, if roles were reversed and we stumbled upon something like this, I'm sure we'd be giddy as hell -- and I mean, who wouldn't want to find games of this caliber for this cheap though? But then a part of me wonders like... no one had a say in it to price the more rarer games at a higher price? Maybe they were trying to spite their ex boyfriends or teach their kids a lesson and just sold them as cheap as can be?
Based on how the ladies acted, they didn’t know anything about the stuff and was in charge of it until someone who knew more about it returned or something. There’s no way to know for sure. But what I do know for sure is I would never give someone $30 for all of that that is too too low.
Not really. Every single time I've came across something like this, well not this extreme, I explain to them the exact situation they are in. It's not that difficult to be a good human being.
It’s sneaky, by asking for the lot, it forces the seller to lower, if this is the best he can do in the world then he’s going to be really upset later down the road
He should be more transparent with them, re-sellers like this guy should get their contact info too that way when he makes the profit he can share a certain amount of the profits with the seller who clearly didn't understand the english language that great.
You rock buddy! Putting an end to the pusherman mentality where "if you can cheat, cheat." Makes me sad seeing that walker there bc I got a situation like it. Hate to say it but women are known to do stuff like that. After my father passed away my mom was just giving away my dad's stuff behind my back! My father had a big glass display case full of expensive die-cast classic muscle cars and she just gave it all away to the landscaper's kids!!!
I guess I’m a fool; I’ve gone to garage sales and offered people more than what they are asking for. At least I won’t burn in hell for being a money grubbing demon.
Heres the thing guys.....back in the day. Im talkin pre 2008. You could get deals like this all the time! Atleast I did.....I aquired probably 70% of the nes, snes, and genesis full librarys from 99-2015. I paid up for some ofthe higher end stuff of course, but I was grabbing games like wacky races, cowboy kid, kid klown, dragon fighter for less than $5. Obviously the game market has changed alot since then. The resellers, and collectors are the reason why the majority of these games are priced so high. Only a handful of games on each console are "ACTUALLY" Rare. If many retro collectors that have been collecting for decades unloaded 90% of games would be $20 and under. Marios, zeldas, etc etc would be $2 games. Theres literally millions. Anyways thats the thrill of the hunt! Find amazing deals for cheap! These ladies should have done thier due diligence honestly. Thats why people wake up early, and grind to find deals. If you find a bag of 14k gold necklaces & rings for $5. Are you going to offer the seller half of gold spot price??? Highly doubt it.....I dont like how arrogant he is afterwards honestly. This video is cringe af. Just a bunch of whining

Then, there's scumbags like this that take advantage of the elderly to have those same games at outrageous prices, like the store I went into... Such a sad time we live in...
I know I was hating before, but I'm honestly a fan of the channel. I am a reseller, but if it's a good deal I just give them asking price. I know that's how I'd want it if it was the other way around. On this one I'd have just bought all the games at $2 and then see how much they want on the consoles. It's tough thinking about offering more, then have some clarity and they decide to keep it.
I appreciate you sticking around dude. $2 a game would have still been under the money and made him a crap ton of cash but that would have been a hell of a lot better than $30 for the whole box lol
I hate the retro market, and I hate resellers like this guy... Brand new games cost $100 now (at least they do here in Canada,) so while at one time, I would've liked to have had a complete Sega Genesis collection... I'm fine with just having my retro experience via the MiSTer FPGA... The only thing that its missing is box art for games... hopefully, that comes around someday... I just enjoy box art, but I'm not paying any price over the cost of current games to hold a box and admire the artwork.
After losing my job, i get reselling if you need to do it for a second if you need to support your family. You and i agree on that. Its when it lasts longer than a second or its ripping off others who probably are in the same place im in.
There's a right way and wrong way. He had knowledge of the games and those ladies didn't. He took full advantage of it and honestly anyone that's willing to do business that way is no friend of mine. Even if he would have paid $2 a game like the lady originally asked, he still would have ripped them off but it would have been a tiny bit more fair.
You're not in the wrong for supporting your family and paying your bills, these people make an underserved living being scam artists and stealing gaming experiences from others.
There are good re-sellers though and bad ones...if you don't like re-sellers though I wouldn't advise you to go to any flee markets or buy from Ebay and Amazon because most of those people are re-sellers. There is nothing wrong with being a re-seller, it's what I currently do to support myself financially but you can't treat people like they are stupid, you need to be honest and transparent with the customers who buy from you.

sounds like you have a decent little collection there. Man I would never consider selling it because you know eventually you'll want to play those games again. Screw the cash!
Definitely scummy behavior in this. I see he lies to her when he asks about the games initially. He says he already has all the systems for those games, but then later when he is going over the lot he can't test some of it because he is missing cords or consoles. I hate when these people, who have full intentions to resell it all, try and act like they are collectors or want to play the games. They want to hide that they are selling it in hopes of getting a better deal.
Its a different scenario if there are kids interested as well. Or if another collector is there. Then by all means let the kid pick out some. You pick out some, and just work together to make a good deal. If Im there by myself , and these women dont look up what they are selling, then to me thats fair game. Maybe id throw them a $50 but thats the whole reason we get out, and hunt. To find the treasures! If the ladies are happy with what they got then its all good. Im a collector, and a reseller. So id keep what I didnt have then sell the rest for a premium to buy other games on my list. However Ive already owmed complete libraries of 7 different consoles. I sold off my life long collectin 5 years ago to buy a house, new truck, my wife a new car, guns, gold/silver, and put some back. It still hurts a little lol
You made a responsible decision when you sold off your collection to buy a house and everything else. But for the other stuff you said about this particular video; Let’s say $30 was a good deal in the minds of the ladies running the sale. They only think that because they don’t know any better. Anyone that knows what they actually have will always say something like “I know this stuff is valuable but I just want it gone fast” but of course in this video they never said that. Instead we saw dumbfounded expressions as they tried to evaluate a fair price to sell their merch on the spot with no knowledge. And we both know that the reseller SeeDonuts had a clue at what he was looking at but decided to stay silent in hopes of taking advantage of the two ladies. And it paid off for him at the cost of being an asshole in my eyes. And a lot of other people that have commented seem to agree with me. Then he decides to list games above current market value online even after getting such a steal of a deal. I apologize to ya man but I can’t believe you’d defend a piece of crap like that.

Man, thats some bullshit. Id have forked over a hunnie at least. Dont know how many games are there, but a hundred is a lot for a yard sale man. 6:33 never fucking mind holy shit 😅 thats an easy 500 at a yard sale smh Buyer pays shipping 😅
Same. I sold a bunch of mine a couple years ago to save for a house, but also because of the pure frustration of collecting at the prices out there now.
Just the Gamecube Resident Evil game, Silent Hill 4, and the Xenosaga games would be worth at least $500. If this seller offered $500 for that box, he'd still be getting an incredibly good deal on those considering the prices they are going for these days and knowing this he definitely should have offered a lot more than $30 for it. Even if the seller offered that price, it isn't ethical to take it when you know the value of the games is astronomically higher than that. Ripping people off just because they are ignorant isn't cool.

Bro had a whole wallet of money, and put text across the screen, "Not much" LOL.
I found a mystery hotwheel (blacked out couldn't see inside it)
I was like look, look, what I found (step-dad)
... and some old man / lady snatched it out of my hands and walked away.
@@b4rs629 hate to hear for you..
Dude, that ONE wave bird controller is worth more than 30 bucks. Just disgusting.
So for those praising this guy and resellers like him, keep in mind that what he and they are doing would be considered a financial crime if they were selling something other than used games.

heart dropped when I heard her say $30.. Also the reseller already shows up to this sale short on cash. The dude needs to hit up the ATM after those sales and give her at least 50% of all his earnings if he was really grateful for the deal.
It's shameful. And there's no way that dude ever went back lol
If I had ever found the first clip I would of been so happy and had games for life to play. But we can’t have nice things of course
Couldn't agree more. I can't imagine being this terrible to other people.
30$ 30$ thats 1$ x 30. I laughed to hard at that
lol I forgot about saying that
I have been watching a lot of your videos recently.
It makes me sad that retro collecting has become such a scam.
Me too and I hate it for the collectors still in the hobby.
$2 a game isn't a steal that's a donation! lol I just checked dot hack that game in complete like this guy got is damn near 500-1000 smh.
At least $2 a game would have been what she originally wanted and made her $100-$200
As an honest and honorable video game reseller this makes me absolutely sick. This is what I hate about it all - the bottomfeeding exploitation of our fell human beings. I'd have straight up emptied my wallet, handed it over and said "This is all I have right now. I know you asked for $30 but to me this is worth much more. Here is $324 and I will return within the hour with more."
I'd even literally tell them that I'm a reseller, I make no attempt to hide it.

Looking bad it could have been fake. I’m not sure if I can trust any of these resellers anymore to tell an honest story. You know what I mean?

He says he already has all the systems for those games, but then later when he is going over the lot he can't test some of it because he is missing cords or consoles. I hate when these people, who have full intentions to resell it all, try and act like they are collectors or want to play the games. They want to hide that they are selling it in hopes of getting a better deal.
I'm glad you caught that, I noticed that too when I was in editing but it was too late for me to mention it lol

@@sagesgamer1638 these are just the ones fine with filming it too
I bought a similar box but with all n64 over a dozen rare controllers 7 consoles some fantastic rumble packs, memory cards…8 or 10 games all for $100
Love your videos man! Keep it up please!
Theres somic theres re and list goes on damn resellers are able to get these games but actual gamers us actual gamers we cant have games because wokies/resellers get to have games because there sick spoild brats its sad out here its krazy
I don’t emulate personally but I used to. I’m not interested in going back but I would certainly understand if a lot of people chose to
I went to check the comments section and I’m gonna throw up at one of the ones I just saw my dude..
Some commenter mentioned how he would feel sick just paying $30
And SeeDeezNuts had the audacity to say this “ if this the case, please feel free to shop my eBay store and pay more than my asking price.
Edit. Thanks for the dislike/thumbs down. Any activity is activity for my channel.”
Wow I haven't seen that Ebay store comment yet.
Another banger from Steve!!! This is your niche brother
Thanks John! I enjoy calling out shady people.
Man, thats some bullshit. Id have forked over a hunnie at least. Dont know how many games are there, but a hundred is a lot for a yard sale man.
6:33 never fucking mind holy shit 😅 thats an easy 500 at a yard sale smh
Buyer pays shipping 😅
This is why I don’t collect video games anymore
Same
same dude. its not worth it anymore. just emulated because its stops greedy resellers from profiting off people who don't know.
Same. I sold a bunch of mine a couple years ago to save for a house, but also because of the pure frustration of collecting at the prices out there now.
Who cares
@@jasontodd1896People who actually enjoy the hobby
Just the Gamecube Resident Evil game, Silent Hill 4, and the Xenosaga games would be worth at least $500. If this seller offered $500 for that box, he'd still be getting an incredibly good deal on those considering the prices they are going for these days and knowing this he definitely should have offered a lot more than $30 for it. Even if the seller offered that price, it isn't ethical to take it when you know the value of the games is astronomically higher than that. Ripping people off just because they are ignorant isn't cool.
Exactly. And there’s actually people defending the video in the comments right now.
.hack quarantine is 290.00 alone
Yeah that's disgusting..
He could have gave them $150 for the box
I wouldn't have made a video on him if he gave them $150. lol
