I highly recommend this show. It's got some real fun world building and does a good job at knowing when its time to be goofy and when it's time to be serious.
You missed opening 2 of season 1 I believe. Also, he's not a person that can turn into a slime, he's a slime that can turn into a human, among other things. Might seem like a small difference, but it's quite important. But yes the blue blob is the slime and main character of the anime. Also 8:57 basically that entire sequence of characters there are together, they even have the same uniform on. Purple haze guy is def a villain, but red hair guy and guy next to him aren't
Which characters are and aren't villains might be a bit of a spoiler, since they're all set up as if they *might* be an enemy, for suspense. But yeah, barely a spoiler, if at all. Some people might get antsy about it, though.

Kinda is just given to you if you pay attention to the visuals. Plus the majority of those people are introduced by like 6-7 episodes into the 1st season anyway. Even then, there's no guarantee he's gonna watch the show. I'd like it if he does, but there are a lot of other potential shows that'll get voted for first probably. He might not even remember most of this stuff by the time he react to it, assuming he does.

Yes, there is a dragon in there. The slime is a main character who can transform into multiple forms, but likes the human form since he was reincarnated. Most of the non-humans are basically ruled by the slime. It is an epic action adventure isekai and I totally recommend it.
This anime is epic. Epic battles, epic fun, epic story, epic everything. I liked it so much, I started reading the light novels! I am on volume 16 and it gets even epicer, if that's a word. Strongly recommend,
I would love to see you react to this series, which is one of my favourites. It's light hearted, but really deep at times, with great characters and world building. Plus, the anime is relatively short so it won't take too much of your time.
this is my favourite Anime after Overlord it has really good Worldbuilding and story telling The VSFX are amazing for this show its a light hearted story not like Overlord
Overlord is worse, if you were to compare animations between Tensura and it, but to be fair, to each their own, both shows are overall very enjoyable ;)
@@sagi3933 really that’s my only downside I see with overlord. The cg is actually awful for most of it, even if it got a bit better in season 4. Otherwise though I love everything else about it. Both shows are great, and I love slime as much for its light hearted moments as I love overlord for it’s dark moments

One of the best reasons to watch Slime (Tensura) is the sound. The sound mixing for the show is amazing. Clean and makes an impact with each important scene or fight. Also great characters and world building. It's a treat for your eyes and ears. And there's only two seasons.
I'll try to summarize the plot without spoiling you. A completely normal Japanese dude suddenly gets stabbed in bright daylight and dies. Suddenly he finds himself in a fantasy world as a slime. He wanders around in a cave for a bit slowly getting used to his new powers an collects all kinds of resources in his stomach [skipping a big plot point because spoilers, but it has to do with the dragon] he finds a little goblin village and befriends them, realizes that he is absurdly powerful compared to the other people in the world, even though he is a slime and starts to build an empire while allying with all the other races in the forest and even starting to get in business with human civilization. In the process he has to overcome many different obstacles like wars, diplomacy and resource management. The show is largely comedic but has awesome action and dark subjects sprinkled in every once in a while, with tragedies becoming more frequent later on.
It's hard to explain it in a few simple words but this anime has one of the best character progressions I've ever seen, it has incredible characters, even the environment itself changes, it has incredible fights, it has incredible lore, in short, one of the best isekai I've ever seen if not the best, highly recommended.

There's 2 seasons currently with a slice of life spinoff series called Slime Diaries which takes place during a time skip near the end of the first season. As well as several OVAs that take place between seasons 1 & 2.
i Personaly think Reincarnated as a Slime is the best Anime in the Isekai Genere. It also comes with great visuals, Animation and the best sound design i witnessed so far.
Hope this isn't much of a spoiler but one of the funnier themes with this is that the true plot is that the slime wants to have a chill life but because of its power it's difficult. It's a very fun experience, definitely worth watching.
Mask is really important and is a huge spoiler (The anime didn't yet caught up to its full explanation) and still a mystery. To not make it not too spoilery, it's an item passed on to a lot of character and useful for its Anti-Magic proprieties The more spoilery version... (again, even the anime didn't went that far, although it's hinted at) It's an intentional time paradox, it's origin is unknow because it's passed down to 3 people, and one of them is a time traveler, Time traveler > important girl > slime > child version of Time traveler > important girl > slime > etc. The enldess Time loop also made it indestructible, but can only be broken in presence of Slime which supposedly leads to "The truth of the world"
There are currently 3 OPs but season 3 might be coming durning this year.(They originaly adapted up to the manga content since its a Light novel that is still being adapted into a manga).But sadly its a monthly release, but after season 2 they stated that they would adapt the source material for season 3.

That time I reincarnated as a slime is still relatively new it came out in 2019 then Covid occurred delaying season 2 so you’re by no means wrong so far there’s 2seasons with season 2 Being split in 2 parts, plus there’s a movie.
If you like anime, magic, dragons, demons/devils and video games then this is an anime I would recommend you to watch. There are a lot of fun elements but also some deep, serious and sad moments. It is a little like Overlord but where Overlord is more dark and depressing this is mostly fun and lighthearted. I can see others have said the same and I will also say that this anime, Overlord and Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun are probably my top 3 anime at the moment. Also regarding fear of clowns, I would say if you like me grew up and watched the original IT around the time where you were the same age as the kids in that movie I would say it is understandable. I mean your parents can't protect you from something they cannot see. My fear of clowns is not too bad anymore as I have gotten a lot older but I still don't like clowns very much.
Two shows I highly recommend would be Boku no Hero Academia (My hero Academia) and That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime. The Slime light novels are VERY fun to read.

Having been vaccinated by watching AoT and Overlord it's time to get a more light hearted feels show but have a care there are some dark Overlord moments in the mix.
The mask comes from the woman in the first opening. The slime has modeled his body after her and got the mask from her. Clowns are ok but mimes... you can't trust them. Too close to clowns and then only mute all the time. They are hiding something :)

The mask was item from the girl with long black hair. The reason main character have humanoid forms, because he eat the women and take it forms. And the last thing that women leave for him, just the mask
