I just got one, did not saw your video before... How hard/easy are moving the bearings? I tightened the screws and they are not moving easily, o I think something is not properly aligned. ?
I havn't as I didn't get much call for it however I've had a few people ask me now so might make one! In the meantime this chappy does a great one, its Italian but you can have the subtitles translated ua-cam.com/video/0pRY6YdvCNc/v-deo.html
@@TheWoodgineer Oooh, yes please! Would really appreciate it if you can find the time to do some sort of getting started video or even just some sort of beginner’s guide to CNC with where to look for other resources to cover the basics in more detail 👍
Mmmm, I think this is the first time that I’ve seriously thought about diving into the world of CNC. Am pretty good with computers and handy enough with most common tools (especially woodworking) but somehow CNC has until now always remained off my radar of things to delve into. Thank you so much for doing this video - it’s really piqued my interest! Can you please tell me what size are those little grub screws that you recommended getting some flat ended ones for the motor spindles? Also can you recommend a decent source for complete beginners to start learning what’s involved? Really appreciate your help. Thanks, Steve 👍
Quick one for getting started, worth checking out the Facebook group for these machines. Loads of setup advice plus examples of people using the machine properly (rather than the hatchet job I do 😂) facebook.com/groups/482315516100783/?ref=share
2:04 Hi I watched this video several times and wished I could press like every time! A question, what are the metric size and length of the grub screw? I would like to prep some on hand than to replace them later to save some time.
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I'm not sure but I think it was an M3 grub screw, it should say in the instructions. I sold the machine a while back now as I've upgrade to a workbee.
Thanks! There is a healthy amount of backlash (all machines should have a tiny bit) and yes this would be very good at doing PCBs. I’ve not cut a full one but did do a pattern on some copper clad board and it looked great. If it’s only PCBs you’re looking to cut, I’ve seen the cheaper 3018 machines do PCBs well too.
Would like to see a setup video for the software side of things. I have a 1419 but having trouble, the candle software connects to the machine but I can't get it to jog or move in the slightest P.S got it to jog.
Hi! I have one of these in my Cart at Bang good, waiting for me to hit the Buy button. 3 days to run at this price - 47% off the regular price. Is there a User Group? Or will it be just you and me. Cheers from New Zealand.
Sorry for the late reply - especially with the timing! There's a usergroup over on faceache here it seems, I'll be joining as I'd like to start upgrading this little thing :) facebook.com/groups/482315516100783/?__cft__[0]=AZVPyHIb6CFZ1RVOLs-hpWmh8yydQX9mjUw76BAY9Ojs-lqr4PdRxlgTpRFlEjjQcxH870Xvmv-Dh55NJ00SeAgkUUqUD3qU1oJXnN2MZUW7LNJaJpIJMyoWg3T3erKSFoA&__tn__=%2Cd-UC%2CP-R
Looks a nice machine! Been tempted with a small cnc for a while now, just worried I would quickly outgrow it. Looking forward to seeing you use it in future videos!

Shouldn't be able to easily move them
I need a CNC. Well I don't, but a really want one. Should just buy one of these and get it out of my system.
You should, I'd wager you could do some amazing stuff with one :)
Do all the videos.
Did you do a getting started video? Did you post the controller software link? I'm picking up one of these but he has no software nor the proper link.

Yes please to the getting started video if you haven’t already been nagged enough to by others to do this 😉

Wonderful video! it's a beautifull machine, but does it have backlash? is it strong and accurate enoudg to mill pcb?

Just built this with the help of your video, thank u so much!
Glad I could help!
Hi.
Hi :D

P.S got it to jog.

I have ordered it now! Excited!
It has arrived and I have started assembling!
awsome vid.. what size are the linear bearing rail?
Pretty chunky - 12mm
Great video.
I haven’t spent the last hour hovering over the “buy it now” button on bang-good. Honestly though, so tempted.
Thanks and yes, you should buy a CNC - perfect little accompaniment to the K40!
I wonder if you can do 3D Sculpture?
Definitely! But will be limited by height of course.
Looks a nice machine! Been tempted with a small cnc for a while now, just worried I would quickly outgrow it. Looking forward to seeing you use it in future videos!
Me too, I've been pretty impressed so far though I wish I could get something bigger.
Yay! CNC machines are awesome! I'm looking foward to the future review video!
Thanks Matt! :)
I love my homemade cnc
I wish I had the time to make one!
