I am absolutely delighted every time you laugh. It sounds like you really love what you’re doing and it’s infectious. I just started watching your videos as I’m thinking about starting soap making as a new hobby. Your videos are fantastic!
My daughter works at Dollar (Plant) and lets me know as soon as they unpack the items from the truck what silicone molds they have for each holiday. I love love love the ones you have, and need to buy some of those professional ones!! LOVE your videos!!
I can definitely recommend Van's Silicon Molds. they are amazing! The detail is astonishing. The difference they make to your finished soap is wonderful, and they boost your creativity. They are more expensive, but as I buy the basic ones as you do in our equivalent of "Wal-Mart", I save up and buy one or two when I can. Thank you for the hints on colouring, my first batch of little red hearts were beautiful. Deep ruby red, with a pearlescent swirl to them. Oh dear, in pink cupcakes they bled and bled, looked like Horror Cupcakes. Lesson learned. Once again, this and the two frosting videos are excellent Katiebabes, well done!
I just adore your videos! I’m from Southeast Texas and owned a Candle Shop back in 2001. It burned in 2002 so I set back for a while and now I’ve moved to Oklahoma and don’t have to work outside the home. I’m getting back Into the Candles and Soaps and you’ve been a huge inspiration! Your amazing and always so upbeat and positive! Looking forward to your future crafts and thank you for being such an inspiration to me getting started in this industry again!
Your voice sounds so nice and you instantly put me in a great mood! Your videos are amazing and so clear. Your one of my all time favorite youtubers. Keep slaying!
I just bought the heart molds yesterday at Walmart. Thank you for letting us know how much melt and pour we need. You are always so sweet and helpful. Thanks for sharing with us all.
I absolutely love watching your videos! I've watched a bunch, but don't think I've really commented before. Just wanted to say thank you, and your work is amazing! I couldn't even begin to do all the fancy piping and whatnot that you do.
Your videos always make me smile. I love the soap you make, but more than that I enjoy watching because your personality is so bright and full of life. Thanks for the smile. :)
Hi good day...i soo admire your work...I am from Trinidad and Tobago( in the Caribbean) and its extremely hard to start a soap business as everything has to be exported in order to have supplies....so i appreciate your directions to trustworthy suppliers...I am now starting my business and finding myself a little lost as to where to start...can you make a video giving advise, negative and positive sides to soap making and how to actually begin the business on a tight budget..thanks so much and all the soapy blessings to you :)
You are by far my favorite soaper on u tube ...your soaps are beautiful...I have just started on the soap wagon and am slightly addicted !! even with my fails lol.. anyway i will keep watching and thanks for sharing your awesome knowledge x
I think your videos are so much fun , you are seriously funny but interesting and to the point , PERFECT !!! Honestly best videos I have seen , nice work . I'm watching as I hope to own my own shop in the next year or so and I also have a love for candle making . I loved your heart soap as I do the same things with my candles and put the same mould you have in my candles , hugs from afar xx
I know this is an OLD post, but it depends where you live. In Canada, yes, we have to list EVERY ingredient from most to least on our soap labels including the embeds. Can't just add a sprinkle of glitter or a new colour if you decide it would look nice without changing your labels, website description, Health Canada forms, etc. SUPER big annoyance. In the US if you're making soap without making claims about it being a cosmetic, you don't even have to list the ingredients.
Where do you get all your melt and pour supply from? I've been wanting to make soaps for wedding favor gifts but I need a large amount and everywhere I looked so far it's super expensive :O.
rainbowcuppycakex low sweat has less glycerine and if will absorb less moisture from the air (which is what causes "sweat" or little water droplets on exposed melt and pour). It's great for embeds but if you're making a whole m&p soap use regular cause it will feel nicer due to the extra glycerin
what i do for plastic molds to help them just slip out, i put a thin layer of olive oil in the plastic mold before i pour the melt and pour and it works great!
You can get these molds also from IKEA and they have nice/funny ones like moose and Christmas 🎄 ones. You have inspired me to give it a go myself. Love your channel, greetings and a big hug from Anna in Sweden 🇸🇪
I love your work! I watch you often, and was wondering, do you fragrance your embeds? They look like they would smell exactly as they look- delicious!!
I love adding imbeds! If you're making them a couple of days in advance, how would you store the embeds? How long can you keep them before having to put them on a soap?
+Savory Scents I store mine out in the open. When I did put them in a sealed tupperware they got all sweaty. I've had no issues with them being out. It could be the climate. :)
So pretty!! I've been wanting to buy from your Etsy for the longest, but I unfortunately bought artisan soap while at the Wizard Con in NOLA. My mom said I would have to use all of it before I bought from you. PS, Southern USA represent!
Hi Katie, I love your video's and have just started soaping at 45 because of your great inspirational work! I have a question. I made some melt and pour hand carved quartz crystals to go in the top of my CP soap. The only problem is the crystals attracted water droplets all over them whilst I'm curing. Could I wrap them straight away to stop this or would it mess the curing process? Thank you.
I love your videos, I have really sensitive skin and can never use nice smelling soaps :( I’d love to experiment with making my own soaps so I could choose what goes into them, but I would have no idea where to start. if you could do an instructional video like this for easy soaps I would be SO appreciative. I love watching your videos because they’re forbidden for me 🤣 lots of love from the UK xx
Katie - love your how to videos! Just a quick question - once all of your embeds are made, do you end up with extras, and if so how do you store them? Right now, I have a bunch of embeds in ziplock baggies, and I am not pleased with the storage aspect of the bags, and am hoping for some inspiration. Thanks for sharing all that you do! :)
what do you recommend for new soaper like myself . i don't know where to start i have been watching some videos and i feel i don't know where to start if anyone can give me some advice it would be great and what is the first things i need to buy much love god bless.
Ariel Figueroa I'm super new to soaping, as well. For now I'm just doing melt and pour, but brambleberry.com is a wonderful supplier. They sell all kinds of things: fragrance/essential oils, colorants, molds, melt and pour bases, add-ins, etc.
Ariel Figueroa First I ❤ YOUR NAME! IT'S SO PRETTY AND MERMAIDY LOL :). Girl I have same problem I just started watching her and I'm like oh now I wanna do that but I'm so lost, I guess that's when you research lol. Looks fun though. I need an outlet other than animals u know a creative outlet. Maybe I found my hobby!
this is probably a silly question, but I'm new to experimenting with imbeds. Can you use cold process soap in the gum ball silicon mold? I've only ever seen melt and pour but I'm really good at making too much piping batter so I was looking for a way to save it other than by making roses😂
emm emma it's a "how long is a piece of string" question. Do you mean cold process soap? You can get most (if not all) ingredients at the supermarket - olive oil, lard and coconut oil are a good start. Then a mould - can use a milk carton or a silicon mold (that will never been used for food) or one specific for soap making that will cost a bit more. Adding in colours and fragrances make it quickly add up. I would expect $100 could get you started with some scents, colours, a mould and oils (depending on where you live and where you order from).
Hi I really love your videos. I have a question... I did embeds and placed them on my soap. Covered my soap and they melted in.. What did I do wrong? Am i not suppose to cover the soap?
Sorry for the late reply. She doesn't insulate her soap. She just leaves it in her soaping studio until it's time to unmold it. But while it's still wet, she makes sure to spray it with rubbing alcohol a few times.

Drupelet. That's the word.
Very late but still
ebay has lots of silicone molds, I found 1 that had 24 small 1 inch easter egg! Oh I bought the same Valentines heart silicone molds from Walmart!

I just LOVE Vanulay molds too, so easy to work with, high quailty and nice folks too boot.

Hi :-)! when you label your soaps, do you have to include an ingredient list for the MP embeds too?
I know this is an OLD post, but it depends where you live. In Canada, yes, we have to list EVERY ingredient from most to least on our soap labels including the embeds. Can't just add a sprinkle of glitter or a new colour if you decide it would look nice without changing your labels, website description, Health Canada forms, etc. SUPER big annoyance. In the US if you're making soap without making claims about it being a cosmetic, you don't even have to list the ingredients.
Absolutely LOVE that Turquoise color Mica you used 😍😍
Aurora King it looks like liquid mermaid
I love all of the Royalty Soap videos. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
the green orbs look like jade almost :) it'd be cool to see you do something with "jade" or even just jewelry! perfume bottles would be fun too
I just love watching your videos😃 what is your color mixed with becuase i have tried adding color to my mp but it doesnt color🙃
Those green ones looked craaaaaaaazy good
These molds are super cute!!
That turquoise is dreamy!
such beautiful vibrant colors!
Where do you get all your melt and pour supply from? I've been wanting to make soaps for wedding favor gifts but I need a large amount and everywhere I looked so far it's super expensive :O.
Also what is low sweat melt and pour compared to regular m&p?
rainbowcuppycakex low sweat has less glycerine and if will absorb less moisture from the air (which is what causes "sweat" or little water droplets on exposed melt and pour). It's great for embeds but if you're making a whole m&p soap use regular cause it will feel nicer due to the extra glycerin
if you live in US/Canada, Michael's Craft Store has it! they always have coupons that you can use on it too, like 40% or 50% off.
Look on eBay. So far I have found brambleberry to be cheapest you can actually buy bulk
what i do for plastic molds to help them just slip out, i put a thin layer of olive oil in the plastic mold before i pour the melt and pour and it works great!

really great video thanks for sharing your talent!!!
Thank you yet again Katie! Awesome info and right in time as I was just looking for embed molds!
The raspberry ones looked so real!
I love adding imbeds! If you're making them a couple of days in advance, how would you store the embeds? How long can you keep them before having to put them on a soap?

Your baby voice here!!! Oh my god I love you Katie!
Do you ever attempt to do cold process embeds?
Kamarie Simpson ehat is cold process?
Yes she has made CP embeds. The macaron embeds from her semi-recent video are CP.
I love your videos, I have really sensitive skin and can never use nice smelling soaps :( I’d love to experiment with making my own soaps so I could choose what goes into them, but I would have no idea where to start. if you could do an instructional video like this for easy soaps I would be SO appreciative. Where do you get your mp? I have trouble with it setting too fast. .
Oh this kind of video i have been waiting for! Ty! Good stuff.
Hi I really love your videos. I have a question... I did embeds and placed them on my soap. Covered my soap and they melted in.. What did I do wrong? Am i not suppose to cover the soap?
Neat! How long can you store the embeds? Thank you.
Just wondering if you've ever considered using a pipette applicator to pour your embeds. May be quicker.
thanks for sharing your embeds with us... :)
Beautiful !
Soo satisfying 😙
I tried once, using m&p embeds in cp soap, but they sweat terribly while the cp is curing, what should I do?thanks
Hi Katie!
Just a question.
If you're making M+P embeds for later usage, how do you keep them from sweating?
Is there a good way?
I've seen her use plastic sandwich bags, and plastic storage containers.
can u add them to cold process soap ?
That turquoise is beautiful! Does it come out as vibrant in cp or is it more muted?
No it doesn't stay that brilliant in CP. It sorta goes matte.
Hi loved your video. Can you tell me where to get the strawberry mold you used in other video
soo amazing love your work
Try this game: drink a shot of gin every time she says "obviously" XD
Sending you love from Garland
Where do you buy your melt and pour from? And what kind?
how can we tell if our m&p set? do we touch the middle and push a bit?
+Nini Nguyen you could lightly touch them, but usually small molds like the ones shown here will set in just a few hours:) if not sooner:b
The Great 2020 Rewatch continues :)
I've watched your videos on molds, are you able to add links on both of your videos?
Thank you...love your videos Katie. ..ello from Southern California. ......
Love these videos
This was nice u should do more like this
Can you tell me where you get your Big Flake Glitters I have looked everywhere Thanx Love Everything You do
hi I'm from the UK . you are amazing and greater at what you do. question do you use food colouring if not what colouring do use
Charlenne Kayembe-kukeya not food color it stains
How do you leave your soap for 24 hour set? Do you cover it? Put in the refrigerator? I dont want my embeds to melt....again. thanks!
Sorry for the late reply.
She doesn't insulate her soap. She just leaves it in her soaping studio until it's time to unmold it. But while it's still wet, she makes sure to spray it with rubbing alcohol a few times.

Katie, I've heard a lot about micas staining the skin (and tub) both with soaps and in bath bombs. Do you find that to be true?
+elisasmama Never had a problem with them in soap, but they might in bath bombs if the bomb doesn't have Polysorbate 80 in it. :)
How would you store extras? Air tight jar or maybe shrink wrapping them? Anyone know?
Jonni Ames ziploc bags
The neon green made the soap look like Vaseline Glass which was irradiated!
Do you add essential oils to your molds? I see you add mica and colorants, but never mentioned fragrances....
She doesn't fragrance the embeds.
