KS RESIDENT HUNTERS NEED TO VOTE ON THIS!!! Let the chips fall where they may! This round it likely will get killed politically behind the scenes. I hope the NR’s like ME don’t have input as far as votes go. Residents of state should make choices on their shared resource!!!!! I do believe there’s no biological argument or a deer management argument that can be won by “pro-bait” stance. LET THEM VOTE!!! 💪👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🎉. Don’t kill it in the dark!! Debate it & VOTE!
Couldn’t agree more Skip. Hopefully this is just a tip of the iceberg of bringing true hunting back to its original state where.hunters actually have to LEARN the game they are hunting. Hunting is not easy, but over the years “certain” people have made it easier passing new “regulations” while putting more profits in their pockets. Fingers crossed that this is just the start of something good, not only for Kansas, but other states as well. Keep preaching Skip!!!
Ding ding ding! You said it Skip. Took the words right out of my mouth and said it better than I ever could. Outfitters, crossbows, easy button, etc. Thank you for speaking up on this for the state I reside in!
Good points. We are in need of help in IL as well. Herd health should always be priority over insurance companies bottom line and dare I say farmers as well.
Agree and disagree...In Iowa....let's get rid of mowing down corn. Let's get rid of hunting over food plots...etc. Food plots, especially on private ground is a rich mans bait pile....getting rid of this will make it better for everybody....guaranteed. Food plotting is for above average income folks (and yes I have food plots because my neighbors do and i can afford it)..I agree with let's use woodsmanship...food plots are so far from that.
Good. Baiting is a labor-intensive, time-consuming expensive waste of time that is totally unnecessary...... if you know how to hunt. Training an animal to "come to your window" and then shooting through that window is not hunting. It's shooting.
I’m gonna “GUESS” most hunters & non hunters are not in favor of corn piles & shooting deer off them. I suppose it’s besides the point …. I’d respond to anyone with these 2 points… 1) LET THE RESIDENT HUNTERS of kansas VOTE ON IT!!! Not NR’s like me. 2) have a debate based on biology…. What’s best for ecosystem, herd health, deer management. THIS is where debate needs to be & IMO - the Baiters lose this debate.
Well. Michigan has a baiting ban and it doesn't work. 5 6 acres of food plots and November 1st to after Thanksgiving few deer frequent. That's when everyone stops.
Explain this bit more. So, 5-6 acre food plots and they get wiped out by deer? Or - after all the shooting - the deer are dead or spooked so bad they don’t come to the plots? Just wanna make sure I understand what u mean. 👍
@Iowa_Whitetail They eat it off. Last 3 years its 2 inces tall mid October. Soon as bean fields brown off they eat it off March / April 4 to 8 does all day when the rye & clover start growing. Literally goes from 8 to 10 inces tall to 2 inches as soon as first hard frost.
@@travissmith-wz5nc got it. Ya- that’s tricky one. I farm & I’ll leave enough & do diverse plots so there’s food left at end of winter & clover is greening in spring. With enough space & variety- it can be solved but I totally get that’s not practical for everyone. For sure some things can do to make better plots & more tonnage & we’ll keep posting that stuff.
If people need to bait ,use any electronic equipment they are not hunters . End all baiting , tv shows that use any form of baiting, outfitters that use bait . You idiots are destroying our hunting heritage. Give the Advantage don’t take it , increase the stalk , not the shot , those are mottos that more people should use , instead of the other way around. A lot of people never heard of Aldo Leopold and were never taught ethics , and it really shows .
