Thanks for this video! I got some Artistro paint markers and tried it out on glossy paper and noticed too the paint peels off if it gets dry and I try to apply another layer. It's quite a tricky medium! But good to know the kit helped you get some structured practice in to work with these markers. It might help me too.
How often do you clean your markers by the way? The manufacturer recommended me to wipe all the marker tips with wet paper towel after each use, but it's a bit nuts since I could use 20-30 different markers per painting...

@@IsaChen-uy8br Thank you for your kind comment! ☺️
You could try your markers on some watercolor paper, if you have some. They should work fine, but they probably won't blend very well. Might help with the layering, though.
I struggle sometimes with simplifying complex scenes and I've found this art kit and this medium really helpful in practicing this.
I keep a tissue nearby and immediately wipe my marker on it after using it. The only time I don't wipe them is if I'm trying to blend two colors. But I will still wipe my marker afterwards to make sure that the tip won't clot. Usually I only need one or two quick passes over the tissue before the marker is clean. Never wiped them on wet tissue, to be honest.
      Happy painting! ☺️

@@wingedjedi_art Ah thanks for the reply! Good to know all it takes is a simple wipe to get the excess paint off and that already helps with preventing clotting.

@@IsaChen-uy8br Sorry, I should clarify that I only wipe them if I have used them with other colors, to prevent them from muddying or getting clotted. I also pump them on the tissue to get the paint flowing, but I don't feel the need to completely wipe the paint off them after using them. My markers have survived well for 1.5 years at this point.
