Great video! I’ve used many brands and I found the lesser known brands are just as good or better than Posca, I think sometimes people think if something is more expensive that it’s better. I am going to try these. Thank you
One hundred percent! I totally agree, it's such a thing that people assume. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and I hope you love the pens if you try them!! I have been loving playing with them :)!
Hi! I loved this review so much so I thank you for sharing with us this less expensive acrylic paint markers. I had never seen these before and I do own quite a few Poscas already, but…. I think I might give them a try anyway. Concerning which of the two drawings I prefer, I have to go with the first one. I like the second one but I found it flat compared to the first one where I see depth and texture. So my favourite is hands down the first art piece!
I am so glad you enjoyed, and I'm happy to introduce you to them (they rock!). I loved the first one, too, but when my sweet hubby didn't "get" it, I doubted myself and just kept going 😂 I actually kept going even after this, the final final (for now!) will be in my sketchbook tour Sunday! :)
Oooh those are rich. I normally use a white paint pen to cover black lines in my book so these might be too juicy. But I was legit laughing at the swatching. Could feel how excited you were!
Fun video, Maggie. I like your enthusiasm. I also had the chance to try these paint pens and I LOVED them. Everything you said in this video I agreed with. They are really a great addition to my art supply collection. I put it on my list of things to do to put them in the window for lightfast testing. Hopefully I can get to that this coming week. I think the second one was my favorite. I thought it might be water or something else in the first one, but I could tell in the second one that it was a shadow from the rock overhang. At least, that's what I hope it is. Gulp. 😂😁👍
Haha! It totally was! I'm so glad you enjoyed them, too, I felt like it was such a lucky thing to find them! I find them way more opaque than my Poscas, and much wetter and easier to use than the Amazon! Thank you for watching 🤗
It's actually kinda surprising that it lacks of blues, especially light blue. Because you know, blues are like the staples in every color palette but hey, I'm interested with the pinks! I think it would be great if they have flesh colors lineup too^^ I would like to try them as the colors are pretty useful on landscape painting. Also, I haven't tried any posca pens (since I', just a broke college student T,T) so I'm excited to try these dupes!
Hey Min!! I've actually also realized that the caps completely screw off so these can be refilled (or mixed, or otherwise messed with as us artists might see fit 😂), so I plan to see which of the blues look most similar and add some white to one of them! I'll post how it works when I try it! But I'm this painting I mixed the white pen with the blue pen right on the paper and that worked, too! Enjoy!! 🤗❤️
These are amazing! Do they dry semi-gloss, or matte? I really liked the first version with the striation better. The cool/hot cute abstract image is gorgeous! Did you get inspo from a photo? I don’t know if there’s such a thing as a chroma-holic, but if so, that’s me! (Q: What’s your favorite color? My answer: YES!) Thanks YET AGAIN! 🤗🎨🖼🤪
Hahahaha! I have to say my answer is YES, too! 😂 They almost all dry totally matte, but for the metallic and a few of the other colors. One of those colors was used in the middle section for the cover up so you can see some shininess there!! I loved them!
I‘d love to try them so badly! Though, I must agree there is lack of light blues in this set but other than that I am intrigued! It comes with a box / pen holder, tooo! My sister in law brought me acrylic markers from her China trip and they looked similar (it was a different brand), and they unfortunately dried out after 2 months! Only played with them once. Bummer! Anyway, fingers crossed these will survive! I like the first painting more I think, but just a tiny tad 😄 Thanks so much for this super thorough review and comparison, you covered everything and tbh I couldn’t believe when I saw they perform better than Poscas! Hopefully you will get more goodies from companies to try 😜
I will definitely keep my eye out for that issue! That would be so sad!! The bodies do unscrew from the tops, for refilling, so I could put some retarder in there if it started to look questionable!🤣😂 I can't imagine how many supplies I'd come back with if I ever went to China!
@@CreatingCuteArt Same! 😛 It‘s good you can unscrew them, I haven’t even thought about that! Maybe I could have saved my markers. Ah well. Hope they will release more colors. I love Molotows color range!
Did I hear you right, that you are now receiving free art supplies?!? Congrats! You are reaping the rewards of your talent and entertaining personality.
I totally get it! I am using up the Amazon ones now and won't repurchase, then I'll just keep the Poscas I have and these Grabies, and if I ever need more I'll get more of this brand!
I’ve admittedly never used Posca, I HAVE and use the Grabie markers and they’re so good. A friend of mine who’s used both likes them both equally, so I do intend to keep using Grabie pens since I’ve been loving them and they’re less expensive on a college budget haha
I agree w hubby. You're sooo talented, you could paint a wall with glue and throw a box of Cheerios it and you'd still have something WAYYYY better than what I'd make
how do you refill them? I see the top screws off but the hole is tiny. it looks like there's a stopper but I can't figure out how to take it off if anyone knows pls tell me!!!
My comment is a little late since I watched the video when it came out but, I’ve been fighting the urge of buying these paint markers. I’m amazed by the range of colors for the amazing price! 😮😍 In my opinion, Some of the yellows/oranges looks to similar. I agree with the lack of a light blue. Regardless, I would still buy them. (It will happen sometime in the future). I like both pieces how it turned out, if I had to pick one it would probably be the first one but each one has its own charm even with the small adjustments ☺️
Thank you so much for your sweet comment on the art pieces! I am still loving them and I realized after the video that the top screws off of the body, so when the blues start getting used down more I will top them off with Blick Matte Acrylic white paint!! I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes. I am loving them so much, I can't get over the price, either!
I've never tried them, but since making this video I tried the Arrtx acrylic paint markers with the brush tips, and those are my official favorites (even more than these or Poscas)!
Hello, I just found your channel, those markers look and perform great ( from what i’ve seen so far). I realize this video is 2 years old, the link you provided it doesn’t work anymore, I mean it takes me to Grabie, but not that product. Actually on the box I saw the name Guagna, I think that’s the brand name. Amazon has some acrylic markers under this name, but they are not the same. I was wondering if maybe you know where else could I find those? I would really appreciate it😊
Well shoot! I don't know where you can get these exact ones if that link no longer works, but Ohuhu (one of my fav brands for many mediums) has a set that looks exactly the same, if you go on Amazon and search for: Ohuhu 40 Colors Acrylic Paint Pens
They can definitely dry out if they sit for months and months without use, but I was able to revive with some water and heavy shaking! I also have mixed in Golden Retarder and they don't dry out with that shaken in (at least not for me)!
WOW! So thanks for sharing our marker pens in your nice video! 😍I'm so glad you love our pens! I also enjoyed your video very well! 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for the beautiful paint pens, I loved them!
The paints look so delish! They both are great, however, I like the first one more.😊
I did, too! I kept working on it after (I'll show the final final in my sketchbook tour on Sunday)!
I have the Poscas and Artistro(like them), will definitely try these! Happy Friday! Thank you for sharing!
I haven't tried the Artistro but I loved @sketches.n.scrubs review of them! Thank you for watching, my friend! 🤗❤️🤗
I’ve wondered about these-thanks for highlighting them!
Oh it was my pleasure to play with art supplies, trust me! 😂

@@CreatingCuteArt 😊 you inspired me to start a small painting in my sketchbook. Thank you 😊 (I’ve only been arting for a year)
That's awesome!!! You can totally send to me on Instagram if you want, I'd love to see whatever you make! (No pressure of course!) 🤗❤️🤗
Those are some fun pens. The first one definitely 😉
Thank you!! ❤️🤗

I have a hard time finding favorite colors in the posca pens, so I’m totally going to try these. Thanks for the great review
They are still going strong!
Oooh those are rich. I normally use a white paint pen to cover black lines in my book so these might be too juicy. But I was legit laughing at the swatching. Could feel how excited you were!
I was so shocked!! I thought they'd be so weak and suddenly there's all this paint and it's opaque! 🤣🤩❤️ Thank you for watching! 🤗
wow.. amazing colors..
Right? I was so shocked! Love these 🤗❤️🤩

I loved the first one, too!

They sent it to me to review (but didn't give me any sort of strings attached other than to try them)!! So exciting!
@@CreatingCuteArt congratulations on being noticed!

Most of my acrylic markers of this type because of the price point. I only have Posca in white and maybe black.
I'm happy that the inexpensive ones held up so very well against the giant! Thank you for watching, Avis! 🤗❤️🤗

Would you recommend the extra fine tipped markers as much as these? The same brand ones?
