    I just made this vest and love, love love it! I made it with a "J" hook instead of "K". I wanted it a little smaller for a granddaughter, she is 10 years old. I am sure it will fit her. I am going to leave the button closure for her to do for placement and her liking. This is a great fast and easy pattern and I really enjoyed making it! It is a wonderful project to do while traveling in a car! I am ready to start another one right now! Thanks for your wonderful patterns!

    Are you able to just look at things and figure out how to make them? I love your videos and all the ideas.
    These would make great gifts! The fact that the shrug can be made with less than a full skein of worsted weight is a huge bonus too. There would be enough left to make a coordinating hat or a little bag.

      @Hectanooga1  9 років тому

      Indy Purl I'm still lacking much confidence in my ability with this new computer, everything is so foreign to me... even the keyboard... all different, it's like being in a foreign land!!

    • @Hectanooga1
      @Hectanooga1  9 років тому

      Hectanooga1 - Crochet, Knitting, Jewelry, Crafts, Cooking Oh, and yes to answer your question.... I can't read patterns for the life of me, hence why I try to write my patterns in as simple a manner as possible. And being a seamstress for many years, I can look at something, and know how to crochet it. Or knit it, or sew it, or construct it in any manner!

    • @IndyPurl
      @IndyPurl 9 років тому

      Hectanooga1 - Crochet, Knitting, Jewelry, Crafts, Cooking "Construct it" that's the phrase I was looking for! Well that is talent and we are so fortunate that you are willing to share.
      Oh I know, it's amazing how quickly we become used to our keyboards. You wouldn't think there would be such a difference between them but using a different one can really throw a person off.

      Indy Purl And nothing... absolutely nothing... is the same about this computer. I'm going to take a break and let my head heal,,, it hurts so much from the severe concentration... going to go browse through the gardening center, and breath in all the lovely scents and greenery eye candy!!

    I've been subscribed to u for a long time now & am always so grateful for ALL ur projects. I love the Amazing Creativity as well as the the Surprising Simplicity u so clearly show as u help us get set up- wether just to show the yarn & hook ur using, to showing how to create many different items/materials needed to make a project...in this case, creating the "plastic yarn" for slipper soles: ) And I want to Thank u, again, for ALL u Share with us! But this note is just a bit "off the side" of all I've been appreciating u for thru the years. I always feel relaxed & good when I'm working with u or even just browsing, but today the short comment u make @ beginning of Granny Square shrug, when u Thank ur Daughter for her knowledge & patience helping u learn ur computer more... I've been sitting here laughing cuz I've just been in the same position & now, in 1 more way, I feel so connected with u as a genuine, real, creative woman sharing... And Learning as all Great teachers do. Thanks for being human :D

    Hi Emi, I did this shrug following your instructions ,I am 36B but it turned out too small and huge armholes so I added more rows and chained 35 stitches for the armholes. Perhaps the armholes are meant to be really wide though I do not like in that way. Anyway, I got compliments and I do really thank you for sharing your expertise and creativity with us.

    • @Hectanooga1
