They should check his cell phone records such as texts, GPS and pings. Maybe there will be clues there. The PI may find info that may be helpful to narrow down their search. Thanks for reporting on this case and please keep us posted with any developments.

If it wasn't for Joe Petito calling out the lack of attention in many missing person cases then we'd be none the wiser about Daniel and media would carry on ignoring it. Kudos Joe Petito, highlighting others in his grief ♥️

This is so sad. They found gabby so fast, find this young man now.
They found her so fast because someone had the murder site on video tape with their dash cam. That’s the only reason they found her. There was so much evidence in her case because they blogged everything and other people caught them on camera.

There were tons of tips in the petito case. If people have not seen this unfortunate young man, they can’t help indicate where to find him. Sad as that is, it’s life. There are children of every race that have never been found. It wasn’t necessarily for a lack of trying. Another big difference between the two cases, is the killer is presumed in the petito case, so much more to go off of.

I completely agree!!! This is NOT right!!! Daniel should have the same respect and police, FBI , search teams as Gabby Petito. It’s really sad that our country will spend millions in hunting criminals but don’t want to help find our innocent, good citizens of this country!!! ( should I say only want to help with certain cases/people) it shouldn’t be allowed!!! Every missing person should have the same amount of effort put into their searches to help locate them!!! That's because there is a social media trail, and internet sleuths are on it like their own private investigators. They have IG, and Facebook that leave bread crumbs, so of course people want to put their detective hats on. Not to mention, you know the killer on the run with Gabbies case. This one is just a cold case like any other

If we look for the positive you will see that all the attention Gabbys case received is now giving Daniels and other cases more attention. Being negative helps no one. I notice when young men go missing you see many similar circumstances. They find a vehicle in an isolated area, they find a couple of personal belongings in the area around the vehicle and there’s usually a change in behavior leading up the the disappearance.
Similar situation with the college student whose body was just down at the bottom of a river recently. His car was found in a remote area, his clothes are found, then his body was found. Very very strange.

Why is drug use and voluntary disappearance is suggested immediately for POC but Gabby was stated to have mental health conditions. Why is it that mental health conditions wasn't suggested for his abnormal behavior before he disappeared? Nobody suggested Gabby willingly disappeared 😕. POC and whites are all humans and should be given the same considerations.

I agree! The fact that Mike King suggested drug use was completely uncalled for and insensitive considering the circumstances. He is a grad student and a working Geologist. I doubt he is on drugs and just walked away. I hope they find this young man.🙏🏻

I think the Petito family had to do so in the beginning too. Please don’t get me wrong, I think every missing person should receive the same man power Gabby and Brian are receiving. It seems as though the media pick and choose which cases they are going to highlight. So unfair, SMH.
So sad that some cases almost promote themselves or are pushed forward by worried parents who refuse to let their loved one go unnoticed, but if parents don’t have the money, time or computer skills to do that it seems some cases are almost completely ignored
I hope the police are held accountable for their half-assed investigation. There is so little information about this case, if it wasn't foul-play - where is Daniel's remains?? If the police really had conducted as thorough a search as they claim, surely they would have found him.

I think ALL MISSING PERSONS SHOULD HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF HELP, SEARCHING, LAW ENFORCEMENT INVOLVEMENT,!!! I also don’t think it’s right to spend weeks and months searching for criminals but we do really much of NOTHING TO HELP FIND OUR GOOD CITIZENS THAT NEED HELP!!!! This family NEEDS HELP SEARCHING FOR THERE SON!!! God forbid if he is no longer alive and the police did nothing to help this young man get home safely to his family!!!! This young man deserves to have the same amount of respect and help put forth as some of the other missing people cases!!! Lots of excuses for law enforcement and the mention of drugs by this group. I don't remember anyone talking about drugs with G Petito. Makes me sick.
My boyfriend and I looked at the map of where Daniel lives and where he crashed. He lived two streets away from us. Where he crashed, I used to live out there 20 years ago for 2 years. There is NOTHING out there. Even if there was no foul play, let's say he crashes. Well, there may not be a car that would pass by for maybe weeks to give him a ride somewhere. His chances of being stuck out there are very high. In the summer, it does not get cold at night out there, so I don't see hypothermia being a possibility either. Those pictures aren't Buckeye, Arizona. It doesn't snow in Buckeye. Didn't they say the car had crashed multiple times? And the car was attempted to be started like 19 times? It doesn't surprise me that Buckeye police isn't doing much. There is hardly any crime out there-they have no experience with much. When someone gets pulled over for speeding out there, seven cop cars show up after the first one pulled over the person. This is really sad. Some of the findings are very bizarre in this case.

People can complain and demand missing blacks get the same attention that Gabby Petitio got but it's not the same situation. Not only did we have the perp shockingly avoid her parents and refusing police interviews (apparently most U.S citizens were unaware that you have the right to remain silent, which sparked interest in her case), but now there's a manhunt for her killer unfolding in real time. It's 1000x more interesting than someone just missing in action.

My god Adam Walsh was murdered in the 80’s. I would think law enforcement as some kind of common sense and realize when Families are in distress. If a loved one is missing, their Family and Friends absolutely wouldn’t be making false reports. This is so frustrating and unexceptionable. Gabby P would be here today if law enforcement and 911 operators were taking their information an communicating it properly and professionally. And maybe this young man would have been located by now. Very disappointing and heart breaking.

When black parents report concerns that their child is missing and it's uncharacteristic of them to disappear and not contact anyone, why are they not believed? Seriously why do people pay their taxes. No matter the reason this man is missing, mental health, foul play, no time should have been wasted because that's the difference between life and death. Police and media should be all over this. Find this man NOW. Somebody gets some drones up or a helicopter. Honestly what are the police doing, get out there and do your job.
A car crashed into a ravine, missing driver and no search but a dismissal of any wrongdoing with no proper investigation... imagine if the police had been as concerned about this promising bright young man as they were Gabby Petito or Elizabeth Smart.
Thankfully Petito's father at least speaks up for all missing people and refuses to be a part of the problem but instead a proponent for change.

Yeah, that wasn't appropriate. Very disappointing- especially in a case that has been ignored for so long already.. mentioning drug use just makes it easier for people to look the other way. But what gets me is that there is no indication of drug use? And Mike mentions it on here... in one of the first pieces of news coverage this case has gotten, smh. I was thinking at first that thank goodness the parents will see CourtTV is covering this at least, but now they have to hear THAT in it? Mike could've just as easily speculated on the impact of dehydration instead.
