Absolutely breathtaking! Mt Rainer is definitely on my bucketlist now. These edits are just gorgeous, could you share your editing workflow of some shots in this video?
It’s a stunning place! Thank you so much. I used my DS 01 preset system for all of them. Most of the time just adjusting exposure and white balance before when needed and then adding creative touches after with the color grading panel and some local adjustments. 🤘
I'll release some for sure, they just need to be absolutely dialed before that happens, and I have a lot of figuring out to do to make the release be the way I have in mind. It will be worth it though, I promise. I just grade everything in resolve using curves, primaries, etc.

Smooth sailing since.
Its nice to hear that some people do their research about shooting in National Parks in advance... I live in a national park, here in Canada (Banff), and I am a photographer/filmmaker, and a tour guide. So, I see a huge number of people flying drones. Its insane. Its a complete joke. "Oh, I didn't know" - "Oh, the drone didn't tell me I cant fly" - "But the drone is a mini" - "I don't need a permit"
@DylanSpitz man, it's bad. Once, I was doing a tour and almost drove into one because he was flying low right above the road between a forest, and around a blind corner.
@@DylanSpitz just one question. To get a better result with the preset, do you recommend shooting at DR400 or other settings? or do you leave those settings by default? (I'm talking about the fuji x100vi)
As long as you’re adjusting the exposure of your images in Lightroom before applying the preset it doesn’t matter. (Lightroom can sometimes interpret the dr400 files weirdly and make them look overexposed on import - regardless of using the presets or not)
Hey there! In the park it was the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. In my home office it's my trusty old A7Siii with a 16-35mm at 35mm. Although, I have used the X100VI for that in the past as well (because it's also a 35mm equivalent) - specifically in my two month review video a few months back.
So was the first half of the video filmed with the sony? Because the video quality definitely seems different about halfway theiufh the video but idk if it was the weather.
Nope, the Sony was left at home. Footage is a mix of X100VI and Pocket 3 throughout the duration of it. Are you sure your internet didn’t drop quality? lol

Which filter are you using on the pocket 3? The footage looks great! Also any specific settings you’ve changed on the P3? Are you manual all the way or auto for flexibility? Thanks! Loved the vid.
Just D-Log M in manual mode for exposure. Used a VND from K&F but I had super strong color shifts and dark corners so I have since swapped to their solid ND set. Full gear list is linked in the description if you’re interested as well. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you! There’s a menu setting to keep the video settings from changing when you go back and forth between photos/video drive modes. So you just switch drive modes and it’s back on 1/48 already 👊
Hey there! Thanks for watching and for the compliment. I shot in D-Log M and graded the footage in davinci resolve using pretty basic tools like primaries, curves, etc. 👍
Hey there! Thanks for that. 🫶 I actually had some annoying color shifting in the corners so I wasn’t thrilled with the vnd I had. I’ve since ordered a set of solid NDs and that should do the trick. 👍
@@DylanSpitz oh d’accord merci ☺️ du coup avec ton Fujifilm tu prend les photos brut ? Sans simulation de filtre ? Ou tu en as quelques uns que tu adores aha ?
Love the colour grading on this. I’ve been really thinking about picking up the pocket 3 but this may have convinced me. Was it difficult to grade and would you recommend this over shooting with an iPhone 16
Hey, thanks! Glad you like it. It's actually pretty easy to grade - not quite as flat as other Log profiles out there. I haven't used the iPhone 16 yet, so it's hard to say...but the sensor on the pocket is impressive - pair that with the DJI wireless mic sync with the creator combo and I think it's probably a far more capable system than a phone.
Hey, thanks! I don't expose the full 1-2 stops over like I do on the sony, but I do give myself a little margin for error with the shadows because they get muddy fast on the smaller sensor cameras.
That is a LOADED question, haha. I mean so many factors can go into that - but some to look into would be the A7IV, X-T5 and XH2S...I'm sure there are a million more but those jump out as some picks for me.
Hey Dylan, again I am blown away from color grading your video footage 😍 really all shot just with the Pocket 3? Did you use extra pro-mist filter etc for the Pocket 3? Thanks a lot in advance! :)
Ah shucks, thanks so much! I'm really happy you liked it. 80% of it was the pocket, with a handful of clips from the X100VI in the mix. We had a little variable ND with mist built in on the pocket, but there were some annoying color shifts happening in the corners so I won't be using it moving forward, just solid NDs from now on lol.
@@DylanSpitz Thanks for the quick reply :) ah thats annoying and something ive heard somewhere else...really thinking also about the Pocket 3 because its so easy to travel with... anyways :) lovely footage & great photos overall!
Of course! Yeah, the solid NDs are the way to go. The footage itself is shockingly good and the AF is incredible. It will be a staple for these types of videos for us moving forward, I reckon. Thanks again!
Awesome video man! Loved seeing this video footage come from that camera. Was your interview setup shot on the x100Vi also? Also how do you find switching from video to photo mode - have you mapped a hot key or do you just do it via the drive menu? Great work. New subscriber here!
Thanks so much! The interview setup is just my ol a7siii. Although I have used the X100VI for that in the past (my two month review video). I just use the drive mode button 🤘
First of all amazing video!!! Love the color grading. But if you shot this with Fujifilm X100VI -- I'm curious to know how the footage is so stable even when you're walking because the IBIS is not great on it. I own both Fujifilm X100VI and DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and can't even imagine to create a video like this with it! Mind blown.
When you're sitting in your studio in the beginning of the video -- is that also shot with Fujifilm X100VI? or am I understanding this wrong and the whole footage is shot with Pocket 3 and you just took pictures with X100Vi?
Haha no worries! Let me clarify. Photos and about 25% of the footage on the trip was shot with the X100VI. The rest of the footage from the trip was with the Pocket 3. The in-studio shot of me talking is with my A7Siii.
However, the X100VI can be a studio cam as well, I did that in my two month review of that camera and it was great. I just already have the Sony dialed up for that so it’s easier for me.
@@DylanSpitz Gotcha! Thank you so much for the explanations! Gonna watch your 2 month review for X100VI. Also subscribed because these are my first cameras and I’m still learning to use them!

What's the workflow switching between video and photo? Do you adjust shutter speed to 1/48 every time?
Thank you! There’s a menu setting to keep the video settings from changing when you go back and forth between photos/video drive modes. So you just switch drive modes and it’s back on 1/48 already 👊
@@DylanSpitz Do you know what its called/where its located? Trying to find it on my X-T3
your channel just came up on my home page, subscribed, and love the content
Woohoo! Thanks so much for the support, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
UA-cam algorithm brought me to your beautiful video! Could you share how you color grade the Pocket footages? Also, did you shoot in D-log M?
Hey there! Thanks for watching and for the compliment. I shot in D-Log M and graded the footage in davinci resolve using pretty basic tools like primaries, curves, etc. 👍
@@DylanSpitz Thank you!
Incredible video mate. The osmo footage looks incredible. Please share the nd filter you have on it and make a settings video please.
Hey there! Thanks for that. 🫶 I actually had some annoying color shifting in the corners so I wasn’t thrilled with the vnd I had. I’ve since ordered a set of solid NDs and that should do the trick. 👍
@@DylanSpitz oh ok fair enough. Do you shoot at 1/48 shutter ?
Yep! Or I think 1/50 is the closest you can get on the pocket…but yeah
@@DylanSpitz awesome. Cheers
It’s refreshing watching your amazing videos. Carl was missed but hey rules are rules 😔🤷🏾
Ahh, thanks so much for that, I'm really happy you enjoyed it. I knowwww we missed his goofy presence but don't worry, he'll be back in the next one 😅
Wow! I NEED a tutorial on how you colour graded the DJI footage 😮 hope you might share one!🤞This looked so good 😍
Ah thank you! Noted, noted 🤘
@@DylanSpitz literally this would be the best video! There is too little good colour grading advice out for the osmo!
@@DylanSpitzalso need this 🤩
I like your videos, your travelling journey. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Really appreciate you taking the time to watch. 🤘
hii what strap are you using on the x100vi?
Clever supply short strap!
Quel preset utilise tu sur ton Fujifilm ? Quel est le nom ou ton réglage please ?
I use my DS 01 Lightroom preset system - available at the link in the description 🫶
@@DylanSpitz oh d’accord merci ☺️ du coup avec ton Fujifilm tu prend les photos brut ? Sans simulation de filtre ? Ou tu en as quelques uns que tu adores aha ?
I only shoot raw! 👍
Also, question, do you make all of your own music for your videos?
I make all of the intro music for the montages! I wish I had time to make the rest but I'd never be able to put videos out haha
@@DylanSpitz Nice man!
Thanks dude!
Beautiful as always! Just got my x100vi, coming from Sony, i wounder, how do you expose Flog2?
Hey, thanks! I don't expose the full 1-2 stops over like I do on the sony, but I do give myself a little margin for error with the shadows because they get muddy fast on the smaller sensor cameras.
@@DylanSpitz Big thanks for your answer! Keep up the great work!
Brother what camera is best for both video and Photography under 2k-2.5k.
Awesome! Thanks for the support, have fun out there 🤘🤘
what filter did you use in your dji pocket 3?
I was using a K&F VND but it actually had really bad color shifting and vignetting in the corners so I swapped them for the solid NDs. Full gear list is on my site at the link in the description if you’re interested 👍
Thank you
Of course!
What ratio did you shoot this on?
B-roll is 2.4:1 🤘
Color grade for video tutorial when??? 👀👀
Sometime someday in the future 😅
first! dude, you still film on xt5?
Woohoo! Thanks for tuning in. This was all on the X100VI and the Pocket 3, but the XT5 is killer. For work stuff I'm still rocking the A7SIII!
@@DylanSpitz see i was sure that video was shit on A7SIII
the pocket 3 + x100vi is literally the setup i want to have haha. I have the a6700 as well but it's... uninspiring
I’ve really enjoyed the setup, it’s great for on the go shooting. I totally understand what you mean about the Sony being a bit uninspiring.
are you linking park ?
I’m not sure what you’re asking?
@@DylanSpitz you look like linking park group of vocal artist chester bennington.
Hahaha ok I thought maybe that’s what you meant but the g threw me off! He’s a legend so I’ll take it as a compliment 🫶
Heavy fog IS good light!
