Plain silliness of course but very clever. It's brilliant advertising because we associate the product with the ad. Rather like we all remember the Cinzano ads with Leonard Rossiter & Joan Collins.

Both of them were in the Young Ones, they were a double comedy act also seen a lot of Friday Night Live on Channel 4 at the same time the ad was out, their names have escaped me now but they were always doing sketches together. Edit: Mark Arden and Stephen Frost, also known as The Oblivion Boys,
