I've commented numerous times that Mariah needs to drill into her children's heads that their father's quest doesn't make them responsible for his other offsprings. Whatever trip Nick is on that's his own business and nothing to do with them.
Exactly, a lot of people don’t get that. You don’t want someone making full time decisions about your children when their part time parent.
The fact that it took Mariah this long to seek full custody tells me that she gave Nick a chance to adjust from being a father of 2 to being a father of 12 (and counting) and he hasn’t been able to do it. I feel so bad for all of his kids. They all deserve a full time, active father.

It has a lot of legal meaning. It's hard to chase the father down for every single decision when he is not available to participate. Medical, school, travel decisions get put on hold when you're trying to co-parent with someone who has no time for you. It's hurting/delaying the children unnecessarily.

You dont know what primary custody even means. Even with primary custody he would still have a say so in important decisions. Mimi is being manipulative, or just trying to nudge him to see his twins more. They've always been with her the majority of the time. Primary custody does not impact joint legal custody. And he would still be allowed visitation.
Considering Mariah's status and Nick's multiples around the country, I agree with her stance. I also wouldn't want my kids around their siblings. In my mind, id be judging the moms (as well as Nick), but hearing Claudia, this isn't the best approach.

On a personal note, my 16 year old niece's father tried to connect her with a new, already talking sibling, and she refused to talk to the sister she didn't know. I don't blame her. "I don't know her."

Funky, excellent observation: "Psychologically, what does it do to the older kids to know that their father has created all of these half siblings?" When folks was saying nothing's wrong with what he's doing, because he can afford to take care of them, I was rolling my eyes. As a parent, the financial aspect of raising kids, is actually the least valuable aspect. Life is hard and complicated at times. I won't purport to know why Nick Cannon is moving the way that the is. But I believe that Mariah is actually seeking to limit their contact with their father (and these crazy women), because there may be something larger going on with him regarding his mental psyche (and those women). I also agree with Claudia, that Mariah is probably embarrassed by this behavior. Al is being over simplistic about this one.

I feel really bad for Claudia she was about to tear up and I hope she’s able to reconnect with her siblings. Also these fathers that have multiple children should introduce there children to one another , what if your son and daughter start dating one another because they are unaware that they are siblings.
Nick Cannon is a celebrity. Nick said himself Mariah didn't want their kids having cellphones because she didn't want them googling Nick's chaotic personal life. So I don't understand why people keep saying they need to meet the other siblings because they might end up dating each other. Not likely to happen when we have Google and social media which will probably be even more advanced in the coming years. Also Nick will make sure all his children know who their siblings are regardless of if they meet each other or not.
My work involves child welfare. Always get paperwork because ppl switch up. They will shock you, so protect yourself.

Her having sole custody doesn't prevent her kids seeing their siblings. It just means that she does not have to expose them to any situation that makes her or them uncomfortable because of a joint custody arrangement. With all these baby mama's and Nick's neglectful attitude you don't know who and what he is exposing her kids to. There may also be resentment from the other mothers to her kids especially since she is independently wealthy

Nick said it costs him 3 million a year now to provide for his kids. A couple of wrong moves financially could ruin him, how would he provide for his kids than? There will definitely be resentment of Mariah's kids.
The judge told my sister during her custody case " it was none of her business who the children were around during the fathers parenting time". My sister was devastated when he said that to her. He was bringing the children around different he was screwing. It's interesting how the rich seem to get their way in court but my sister is told to "fuck off" trying to protect her kids.
@MK Sandals It's not because Mariah is rich though that helps alot with being able to get the best lawyers. Nick's behavior is public knowledge and he had admitted publicly that he doesn't have time for all his kids. Mariah and her team have probably been documenting this for at least a year now. Your sister can apply for sole custody again, but she needs to get her ducks in order, get her evidence in place and pay for a top lawyer. It should be primarily about her children's safety.

This was my situation… I only have one sibling I grew up with. But turns out my father had 4 kids before us… so we finally met them and they were so mean to me and my sister. Now that we’re older they want to speak to us.. but I blocked them because they still seem toxic. Honestly if I didn’t grow up with you, in the same house you’er not my sibling. @@lov5334 Mariah having sole custody does not stop Nick from being able to see the kids. They can still make arrangements for visitiation. As long as he isn’t abusing or endangering the children, he still has a right to see them even as a non-custodial parent
If it was me, I would completely 110% not only seek primary custody, but also allow my kids to decide (when they are older) if they want to meet their siblings when they are older.

Nick did not think things through before having 12 children, and is now realizing some of the consequences of his actions. He already has Morocco and Monroe interacting with their half siblings... I wish Mariah well in her decisions regarding her 2 children.

You need to remember that these other children are victims just as much as Mariah and her children are. They may very well become spiteful and jealous, but for now bringing down others innocent people to uplift the ones you look up to isn’t nice. Half-sibling relationships can be very complicated and tricky to navigate depending on how you feel about them. Mariah's kids i would imagine aren't around his other kids so they probably don't use that label for their situation which is probably for the best cause they don't need to be exposed to that drama. I'm the youngest of 4 kids i am 26 and my oldest half brother who i just met in late 2021 is 43 with a college age daughter and 6 month old granddaughter so it was very surprising to have that happen because i never assumed growing up that my dad might have had other kids before he met my mom and they got married
I have to agree with your comment. I'm the oldest of three half-siblings and I don't get along with the sister. I feel sorry for those twins as well as for their mother. I hope that she gets primary custody, and that Nick will get his priorities straightened out.

They are sometimes around the first one and the second one Brittany Bell had. They have yet to meet her 3rd one. They met the twin boys Nick has once. They met the baby that died once. And if you watch video of that meeting, you can tell Nick and those mothers forced it upon them. Nick couldn't get Rocky to hold any of the babies and Roe looked so lost/confused/unhappy holding one. It was clear Nick didn't think about their emotional and mental well-being when he videoed it and let it happen. Mariah's kids were the only ones at that point that he was forcing to met anyone. Brittany Bell kids haven't met any other kids but Mariah's. And if you listen to interviews by some of these women, Mariah's kids are the only ones they want their kids photographed with. Two of the other were huge Mariah fans. So, I'm sure that is a worry of Mariah, these women using her kids to get to her.
Nick Cannon with almost 15 kids with 6 different women does not deserve primary custody of any of those children. As a mother, I would not want my children around that lifestyle and so many other children when the father doesn’t even spend time with his first 2.

At some point Nick's world will fall apart, he is doing too much. I don't blame Mariah at all, those kids have to be protected in a lot of ways and Nick is out here showing that he does not have those two kids best interest at heart. He is being wreckless with his behavior and creating so many kids knowing there is no realistic way he can provide them the time and emotional support they are going to need. And the women who continue to let him impregnate them are just as crazy.

Idk why Mariah would be embarrassed. Nick's actions are his own. As far as custody I agree with Mariah. If you're not an active parent you don't have a say. I will do everything I can to foster a good relationship with them but if I'm present and you're not I'm making all the decisions. Nick is in way over his head.

Nick is not being a full parent to all his kids and the moms already said they don’t get the kids together for play dates, birthdays, holidays, etc. If the half siblings don’t grow up together there’s no reason to claim them as your sibling. I'm in the same situation and I have full custody! He's not on the birth certificate so he has no rights anyway. Now as far as my son's siblings he met them last yr and now we keep in touch and see them when we can

Mariah's kids have met all of their siblings except the ones born in 2022. So I don't think she would prohibit them from getting to know the others if that's what they really want.

She’s asking for full custody. That doesn’t mean she’s keeping them away from their siblings. Nick has already implied that he is negligent because he doesn’t have enough time for all of his kids.

I don't blame her as a mom myself that is no longer with their dad , I too had to make the decision to take it to the judge and get sole custody legally. Now I don't know nor do I care if their dad has any other children, but if in fact he does I would encourage my twins to try to form a relationship with their step sibling because at the end of the day the children have nothing to do with anything that us adults have going on.

What Nick didn't consider is that now all these kids are now siblings of Mariah's kids. And Mariah may not want certain people to have access to her or her kids. And Mariah's kids may or may not want to have a relationship with all these kids and their mothers.

It is really strange to have a sibling you weren't raised with. I have a sister and we have different moms. We met later in life and we have developed a relationship, but it takes a looong time to get that sibling connection. We were just raised differently and her expectations of what I should be (I'm the eldest) were a bit high. We have a brother too and she expected our relationship to be the same as mine and our brother's. It also gets weird sometimes because at her family events her mom tries to say I'm her other daughter and it's just weird because my mom wouldn't be down with that AT ALL. We work at it, but I will tell you, with the difference in personalities and upbringing it can make it hard sometimes.
I ain't mad at her. It's not like she's applying for sole custody, she just wants to be in control of major decisions and wants it on paper. Nick out here moving recklessly and Mariah is letting it be known that he can't just come in and out of the twins lives when it's beneficial for him.
