As a Habs fan, we gave Claude to you, and now you give him back to us 10 years later. It's remarkable how subservient and downright obsequious the Montreal media is when they question anyone from the front office, compared to the Bruins media which is aggressive, probing, skewering. The difference is that the Canadiens is the reason why most of the media has a job, while in Boston, the media exists because of bigger sports teams than the Bruins. Nevertheless, I blame the incompetence of the league for the terrible on ice product - paying players above the salary of CEO's of multinational corporations is a good starting point. I still maintain that each team can improve greatly by reducing the salary of roster players to 120k/year average, and having their own 20-30 team farm league, paying each player $35k/year. The cost to the fan is the same, the only differences are that the fan base grows and the end product improves as the pool of professional hockey players grows by a factor of 30.
Just stop it, Neely. The Bruins played on Saturday, February 4th. They didn't play again until Thursday, February 9th. The firing was on the day of the parade which was Tuesday, February 7th. Saying that they took Sunday to assess is just a lie. If you didn't know by then, you're woefully incompetent. What about Monday, Cam? Wednesday only gives Cassidy one day with the team? What? It gives him Wednesday and Thursday, and he's been an assistant for nearly a year. Shaughnessy calling you a coward is easy from a keyboard? Well, Cam, firing someone is easy from an office also. You were a stand-up guy on the ice but pulling that cowardly move and then doubling down on it here is pathetic. I'm glad the media, including the national media, and the fans are smart enough to not buy this load of turd.
Cam, love you as a player. But you're a horrible president, especially for your inability to admit your binkie Sweeney has absolutely RUINED the team with his horrific draft picks and free agent signings.
9:56 well you fixed that problem and then recreated it when you traded Ullmark to Ottawa
It’s Sea Bass!
It's because he threw a salt shaker at him.
Dumb and Dumber reference.
