HA! Vegas really is tight! Players in my area would definitely make the check raise with only top pair (AA hand) so I would be nervous but I would have to call the flop raise. F course the turn overbet is a fold 😜
Man that KQ was a tight fold. As far as the aces hand goes, I’m never folding my hand on that flop. There are way too many combo draws that would raise that board. That being said, I don’t think you needed to go broke there. I’m probably folding the turn to that size, however I would still call a reasonable size knowing I most likely have some counterfeit outs. The shove was a bit of a punt though. Oh well, happens to us all.
Yeah, the KQ fold was probably a bit too tight. I could probably call and evaluate on the river. Villain did say he flopped the flush if you believe it.
I’m interested, is there a specific reason you chose 2/5-1500, at the Wynn instead of 5/10 at Bellagio or 10/20. I fly in twice a year and usually we stay at Bellagio. Thank you and GL
This episode is $2/5 $500 max at Bellagio. I’ve never played the $2/5 $1500 at the Wynn as it tends to attract more pros and grinders. I’ve heard the $5/10 at bellagio can be pretty good but never played it.
Card dead. I played an online session the other day during which I bled off an entire buy in over 3 hours (during that time I was dealt a total of 4 pp and never hit a set, straight, or flush) and then made it all back in 2 hands (with a set and a flush). Gotta keep playing if the game is good because at some point the variance has to turn around in your direction.
Volume or lack thereof is one of my leaks. I’m trying to push up the number of hours I play to 25-30 or around 120hrs per month. Especially when the games are good. I kind of miss the online grind when you could play a couple hours and get in 1000+ hands multi-tabling. But then I was probably clicking buttons a lot back then and not really employing a sound thought process.
Im sure you've heard the wise saying, "Dont go broke in a limped pot". $5 is a limp, and ur AA raise to only $15 is really close to a limp. So it's a good idea to also abide by, "Dont go broke in a close-to-a-limped pot". It's hard to tell opponents' ranges with $15 pf raises. Heck, some open 7,2 suited to $15 lol. I'd say opening to $20 helps u out more than opening to $15.
Default is a 3bet. The BB looked 🐟 fishy 🐠 from the few hands I had watched him play so I didn’t mind letting him into the pot. Didn’t work out that way though 🤷♂️
AA: 20 into 30 isn't a small bet. 10 is small. Unless I know this guy, I think I call him down unless turn or river is scary. He can have better hands, yes, but he can be betting worse hands for value also.
Relative to the pot it wasn’t small but absolute value in the game it would be perceived as a small bet. That said, I think 10-15 would accomplish the same goal.

Love the Kraftwerk poster! Based on that I am betting you have some good vinyl in that collection
Not a poster, that was Kraftwerk 2 on vinyl 😁 I have some decent records. Nothing too crazy. A lot of Jazz because that’s my thing.
Tacos El Gordo is my favorite too!
Their pork tacos are incredible!! Best I’ve ever had.

Isn’t there a casino called Aria somewhere in Vegas? Heard it’s nice. Man it would be cool to see some footage from that card room! 😂
Never heard of it. Maybe I will look into it 😂
