Beginner average of 5: 0.47s
Intermediate average of 5: 0.82s
Expert average of 5: 1.29s
I've practised this for a long time. For people starting out (but are familiar with the rules of minesweeper), I think 10-20s average of 5 on the expert mode is good, 5-10s is very good and 3-5s is excellent. It's recommended to tick "Open on mouse down". I also sometimes use "mouse keys" for clicking (Alt+Shift+Num Lock).
