I keep getting an error message saying A fault has occurred causing a virtual CPU to enter the shutdown state. If this fault had occurred outside of a virtual machine, it would have caused the physical machine to restart. The shutdown state can be reached by incorrectly configuring the virtual machine, a bug in the guest operating system, or a problem in VMware Workstation. Click OK to restart the virtual machine or Cancel to power off the virtual machine. when installing the video driver. Is there any way to solve this issue?
Around 17:00 why did you try booting Windows 98 three times only to see the same NDIS error? And why did it magically work at the 4th attempt but BEFORE you changed hardware compatibility to 5.x?
After installing the CPU fix the OS is super sluggish and laggy. I am running on 12th gen i7, 32gb 6400MHz Ram, Asus z690 Extreme, 1500 watt PSU, RTX 3080. and ideas? (Fixed, Had to turn of 3D acceleration in vm settings)
