    What tools were used and sizes

    Если вы еще следите за каналом, подскажите, пожалуйста, такую вещь. Сегодня пытался на Акуре РСХ разогнаться, чтобы VTEC сработал, но вместо этого сначала замигага лампочка check engine, а потом и вовсе стала гореть постоянно. Коды ошибок Р0302, Р03043 Р0304, Р0300 Random/Multiple cylinder misfire. На звук машину не троит, не трясет, едет нормально без дерганий, тянет тоже хорошо, пока до VTEC оборотов не доходит, так что не похоже на свечи или катушки. Движок не стучит, характерного клапанного звука нет вроде. Но в чем тогда проблема? Прогорел или погнулся клапан? Цепь ГРМ в рассинхроне? Сильно течет прокладка головки блока? Буду признателен помощи советом.

      5/8" spark plug socket an extension and a ratchet, torque wrench optional.

    Thanks for the awesome and very clear tutorial. Quick question: How long of an extension do you need to get the spark plugs out? Looks like 6 inch but not 100% sure from just looking.

    Stupid question but can I do each one individually and does the battery have to be disconnected

    • @MorozovAutomotive
      @MorozovAutomotive  3 роки тому +2

      Yes, you can replace them individually. But it makes sense to replace all at once if they are the same age. You don't need to disconnect the battery.

    What size spark plug are you using? I need to make sure I pick up the right ones. Thanks.

    • @MorozovAutomotive
      @MorozovAutomotive  8 років тому +12

      When you pick them up, just specify the make and model of your car. They should give you the right ones. Here are the specs for rsx base and type s:
      K20A3 (Base model):
      NGK - IZFR6K-11
      DENSO - SKJ20DR-M11
      K20A2 (Type S):
      NGK - IFR7G-11K
      DENSO - SK22PR-M11
      They have them online as well:
      1. Acura RSX Base (K20A3 Engine) - Denso (3377) SKJ20DR-M11 Iridium Spark Plug, Pack of 1 - amzn.to/3UkHymE.
      2. Acura RSX Type S (K20A2 Engine) - Denso (3372) SK22PR-M11 Iridium Spark Plug, Pack of 1 - amzn.to/3Kg9gMt.

    Do i need a tune after changing spark plugs?

    • @MorozovAutomotive
      @MorozovAutomotive  4 роки тому +1

      No , but throttle body and injector cleaning + oil change before spark plug replacement might improve engine operation.

    • @ziaoemmanuel
      @ziaoemmanuel 4 роки тому

      That depends on the number or horsepower and torque your vehicle has.

    Thanks! Question is the torque wrench necessary?

    • @MorozovAutomotive
      @MorozovAutomotive  8 років тому +3

      It is very recommended. If you don't tighten it enough, the plug may eventually become loose and come out. If you overtighten it enough, you could damage the thread and cause even more problems.

    Anti seize? Denso & NGK recommend no anti seize.

    • @apofis231
      @apofis231 4 роки тому +2

      That's because the anti seize lubricates the threads and can cause over-torquing. The real torque spec for RSX spark plugs is 17 pounds, but these guys lowered it to 13 so that they don't destroy the threads
