I want to add one thing cz later on you might feel a bit weird with the physical interactions amongst the members...Korean culture is very open to same gender affection and affectionate gestures...it is called skinship. It is totally normal for a Korean guy to call another guy "cute", hug or ruffle hair and have physical contact...(i mean you get my point)..so keep an open mind. :)

We have only been listening to KPOP for 8 days now but we are learning SO much and because of amazing people like you. Thank you for being patient and understanding with us. I've been doing social media for a little over 1 year and been in multiple communities.
I have to say that the KPOP community has been the most welcoming, passion, but also REAL group of people. And this really excites. Same reason for me! I just found them tonight and couldn't resist commenting on many of them...sometimes at crazy-great length. And I had THE EXACT SAME THOUGHT FOR THIS! "It's just a matter of time...how is that gonna go over..." The same-sex, non-sexual physical expression is one of the things that drew me in and that I find really neat. I think our culture misses out on a lot because everything is so over-sexual-ized. Or because it felt awkward to some, they made it a 'gay' thing to fend it off and the label stuck. I am a physically demonstrative person and I love my friends who are like that with me. I have to hold off in public though, because everyone would just assume I'm not straight. I don't know about you all, but I hate going days without a hug or some sort of touch that just affirms my existence. Maybe if we had more friendship hugs we'd have less random shooters...
Same goes for me!! They are so open about K-pop and willing to learn, it's just beautiful to watch.

Hyung:younger male calling another older male
Unnie:younger female calling another older female
Noona:a younger male calling an older female
Dongsaeng:any older female or male calling a younger female or male
Maknae: youngest person in the group
Aegyo: it means acting cute. Similar to the Japanese word Kawaii.
Naega/Niga: korean for I/Me. It DOES NOT mean the n word

They've lived together for years and when they started, they got so much hate and mockery because they came from a small company with little money they were called 'beggar idols' and no one thought they would make it. Some were called ugly, RM and Suga caught a lot of hate from the underground rap scene that they came from for joining an idol group - these boys went through a LOT to get to where they are. Their story is really fascinating, I hope you get to see some of the videos about it!

Not just any road. A freaking one of main highways! I really don't know how in hell they've pulled that off 👀
At the very least it had to be 0-dark-thirty. Which means only HALF of Korea was on the road.
If you want to get to know the members better and their relationships with each other, I suggest Squishy Min Yoongi channel for An introduction to BTS series. They are funny, and a short but accurate showing of them.
You should check out a video called “BTS from nobodies to legends” it’s a very well done video and you can really see their story and see where they came from and how hard they work and all of the struggles and hardships they’ve faced. There’s also a video called “BTS is not a group BTS is a family” that does a really amazing job of showing their friendship and how close they are. They genuinely are a family and consider each other and refer to each other as brothers and family

OKAY tinashe omg yes, I agreeee, you totally need to react to from nobodies to legends. They use to be dirt poor and the older members would sacrifice meals to feed the younger ones. These boys been through a lot and at such a young age, at one point it was so bad cause other fandoms hated BTS when they first started rising to fame.. over 500 thousand people would cyber bully the members so often that it put some of them through depression.
And now even with their huge success they still remain extremely humble. They've raised over 500 million already for their UNICEF campaign that goes towards helping children in abusive homes and much more. Anyway I'll quit rambling cause I could write a paper on them LOL
I like seeing you enjoy watching them too cause I really enjoy them a lot. They always make me happy.
I remember RM saying that there will always be pain and struggles in life
but if their music, video, performance or even a picture of them could at least decrease it to 1%,
then it would make BTS existence worthy. They are so grateful that they have come this far
and me as an A.R.M.Y, I am so grateful to have met them.

Yeah I love that quote. that is something I've been struggling with the past year and am starting to get there.. I think. But watching KPOP and getting exposed to things way different from what I am used to is really opening the door for me to new possibilities in my thinking, creativity, self expression and the new friends like yourself that I'm getting to talk to and learn more. :)

BTS are very humble and respectful people. they always try their est to make it easier for their stuff. coz they know that the more they deliver it perfectly, the more everything will be done early and less time for their people to work. First, you should know Korean.
As for smartphones, the way to enter Hangul is very simple.
If you use Google Translator, Korean and English have different word order.
If spacing is wrong, it is often translated falsely.
Many foreigners make such mistakes.
