    Hello! Many thanks to share this information, I was about to buy the same module but did not had any idea how it works, thanks again.

    Hello again.I got these yesterday and You CAN get antiphase outputs after all.You connect one lead to output 2 and the other lead to the second hole from the top where the micro usb socket is.Also the output transistors are rated O.2 amps...you can use +ve line and the the pwr output to act as a current sink...as otherwise pwr to ground is limited to 30 milliamps .i just ordered anther 3. the antiphase outputs means i can use it as a beck device and the also a clark zapper too as well as using it as an anti-alzeimer device.

    9:47 The frequency does change in real time, if you hold the up or down button. There is a delay of about 1.5 seconds until it starts to count up/down.
    Also, I'm finding that the frequency is up to 5% wrong at frequencies over about 300 Hz.

    I don't understand why they went with a LED display when they could have gone with LCD display with more digits.lower supply consumption.

    Should be great for adjusting the speed of fans with PWM input. These are fans typically with 4 wires (power, gnd, tach and PWM).

      +Wah Ng or possibly even servo motors. Those work pwm too, but it could get a bit more complex there... Anyways, its a great gadget, one of my favourite!

    Are yhe pwm1 and pwm2 in the same phase ? I mean they are both off and on, or one is showing off the other is showing on in a given time.

    Please help with settings.
    I want to run both the channel on 50% duty cycle @ 1Khz. While I want to run channel 1 instantaneous, I want channel 2 to commence only after Channel 1 reaches zero duty.
    eg: When Ch.1 = 5v, Ch.2 = 0v and vice versa.
    Thanks

    i removed the led display by cutting one pin at a time to see if i could disable it but a number of segments always stayed on ..

      i have made the anti Alzheimer device which a flickering red led at 40 hertz and 75% duty cycle and stuck the red led under the computer monitor so that reflected red light from the desk hits my eyes.i am not sick or have Alzheimer but i read the recent research on flickering red light on mice and symptoms being reversed so i thought of making it.an important effect of this flickering red light is dreams and more intense sleep periods with longer amounts of wakefulness...as if the sleep periods was being compressed into shorter time periods.you should make the device as well being so simple.i have bought a dozen of these things now..

      +Ese Callum awesome! Well done. I have to read up on this more. There is something about this, sometime ago there was some hype about language learning programme which had glasses with LEDs and headphones etc. Can't recall what it was called (seti? Something like that..) Anyways, it was meant to stimulate the brain into certain state, which allowed more concentration, etc. Definitely interesting subject. I also read somewhere about directly stimulating brain with sub 1Hz frequencies by placing a bunch of coils around the head - again, apparently it would allow one to reach state of very deep relaxation. Thanks again, and keep making!

    Has anyone figured out how to communicate with these boards with the serial port on the Arduino? I'm having a b*tch of a time attempting to get any of the settings to change via serial port. Any suggestions? Code would be appreciated.

  • @shawnkay8649
    @shawnkay8649 6 років тому

    I'm about to buy one. Does the output voltage directly correspond to what the input voltage is? If I use a 12v or 24v power source will it still output 5V?
    I need it to output 0-5V for PWM dimming LED's but my power source has a higher voltage.

    • @randomtronic
      @randomtronic  6 років тому

      Shawn Kay from what i remember there is an LDO on the board, so supply voltage can go up to 12v. Output should always be 5v.

    How can I do to increase the output current?

    • @randomtronic
      @randomtronic  7 років тому

      Fernandus Aditya easy way would be to put a bigger transistor on the output as emitter follower.

    • @fernandusaditya3742

      Can you tell me other way to increase output current? How about removing some resistor?

    • @randomtronic
      @randomtronic  6 років тому +1

      Fernandus Aditya hi, i am glad this interests you so much. Unfortunately, if you overload the module it will be toast. You need a driver stage to output more current. Lookup emitter follower, its very simple, and parts you can probably even remove from some old junk.

    • @randomtronic
      @randomtronic  6 років тому +1

      Actually, i am doubting myself now and dont want to mislead you. If you power this from 5v, then it will be 5v on output definitely, but cant remember now if there was local regulation, so potentially if you power this from 12v, it could be 12 amplitude on output. Just measure it with multimeter (set the thing to lowest freq and 99 duty - that will help)

    • @subigirlawd_7307

      randomtronic oh ok. Yeah don't want 12volts on a 3.3 volt I.C. yikes....Thanks 💗

    can this be used on a tig welder to pulse

    • @randomtronic
      @randomtronic  5 років тому

      I guess why not. Could be connected in place of the foot switch and maybe some kind of relay could flip between 2 resistances to switch between 2 current settings every half a second or so.

  • @esecallum

    Can the TWO outputs be in antiphase?

    • @randomtronic
      @randomtronic  7 років тому

      +Ese Callum unfortunately no. They are independent and not synchronous.

    • @esecallum
      @esecallum 7 років тому

      i think one way to get antiphase outputs would be to take one connection from the base of the output transistor and one from the collector if has a pull up resistor....??? perhaps you could use oscillioscopte to explore in your next video....i have ordered 2 of these..will get get them in 3 weeks...amazing how cheap they are only $4 on ebay...

    • @randomtronic
      @randomtronic  7 років тому

      +Ese Callum lol :) bi is ok, as in: bipolar transistor - that should do.

    • @esecallum
      @esecallum 7 років тому

      randomtronic you showed the two output transistors but can't see any pullup resistors but they must be underside or under the display.it would have been better if they had used LCD displays.

    • @randomtronic
      @randomtronic  7 років тому

      Yes, potentially lcd could show more and use less power. But LED is nice too - i guess a matter of preference... And it is easier to drive - the chip they are using probably has not got lcd driver.

    Hi, excellent video and very interesting, can you please explain how i can use this to power a 25w lightbulb, i.e i would need to be able to get 5amps out of it? Do i put a MOSFET after it?
