    Stretching before training is contra indicated because you loose tension. After training it's better. Normally the warm up begins with light movement and after that, sprint and speed training. The day ends with power training and stretching. The top Chinese players were 12h/day in training modus. Nice to see the reaction training. Thanks!

      What you say is true but not sport discipline specific. If you do things that require flexibiltiy you do need to stretch anyway. Running? No stretch but perhaps exagerated movements for the joints. Strongman lift? No need just do the lifts on lighter weight. Olympic lifting? Some form of stretches is needed but usually still in motion and limited static stretches for less flexible joints. Gymnastic? Definitely a LOT of stretching before any movement is done.
      If you the type of player that do splits on table tennis matches then you need to stretch up to the splits or you might tear up things out of habit.
