- Mason charges hard and probable puts together his best ride in the 65 class today. Mason is on a Husqvarna TC65 and is racing at Portland International Raceway in the 65 Novice Class.

A rule of thumb I've always been taught is don't change any settings such as carburator because if it ran fine with that setting it should still be fine. If you go and immediately start adjusting things now you've created two problems. Hope this helps in the future and keep the great videos coming.

I have ridden and raced so much I catch myself trying to give it throttle for them in spots where they could pick up a second or two .... Man I miss it ....these videos are great... My 4 year old granddaughter is starting on a 50 two stroke now I just wish she had some kids like this to hang out with it would be great I grew up doing this and it was the best thing in my life I still ride every day on dirt

The kids have a race today, I’ll try to put it together tomorrow and then test it out on a track on Saturday so I know it won’t break down on a track 😂

Great motos Mason!! Brandon u probly watched the vid again and saw but in the first moto you could see the front tire jump out of the rut. Something that has happened to every single racer out there, definitely has happened to me. Rode a great race all around, had lots of pressure on the guy in front, great cornering and good job switching up your lines to deal with the slower riders. Getting stuck behind people is something all riders at every skill level struggle with. Was really hoping to see you send a couple of those jumps, you had the speed and you’ve done bigger. Remember they may be a bit intimidating but landing on top of a step table is smoother than landing into the face of it all day long. Oh yea its faster too 😉. I’m a new sub and love the vids, takes me back. Keep up the great racing, hard work and awesome parenting. - 🇨🇦 Fan 🤘

Biggest thing I have noticed on your kids is corner speed. They need to practice braking later and later on each corner and getting on the gas before the apex...not at or after... before the apex. BTW, thanks to you for being there! for your kids... so freaking awesome... I am following every vlog now

When in doubt, do a compression test. Keeping air filters clean is the life of your engine, so to speak.
Well done Mason good fighting keep this up and you'll be winning races in no time! Don't worry about the fall every time you come off the bike you learn something you otherwise wouldn't have.

Man I played goalie in hockey an the whole set up is like 4 grand for pro level gear before you pay team expenses, tournament fees, hotels, flights etc but damn moto is expensive as hell.. I've rode a few times but I wish I could get a bike but with 4 knee surgeries from hockey I'm just preserving myself but maybe one day I can get a bike an just cruise on trails.
Regardless your an awesome dad I thank my dad everyday for paying so much money forcing me to be up at 5 am in elementary for lessons before school etc one day they will realize it when they are mid 20s an you'll be remembered as the coolest dad around good stuff man
It can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be. My bike cost me 3000 alone and after that probably 2000 in parts and another 1000 in gear plus gas and track fees. I’m lucky enough to have a farm to ride on but not everyone is. You can always buy a helmet and a Chinese 140 or something to cruise around the trails on as long as you are ok with the fact that they are slow and won’t last forever for around 2000
Hockey is no joke. Crazy how much it can cost.

They should take the top 6 fastest in both classes and join them together so there's less chance of lappers. The sun is a pain, could always add to the top visor to try block more of it out 🙂

Power valve is broken. Get a Nihelo power valve to replace it. My sons ktm 65sx did the same thing and that was what happened to his.

Once you get that 125 fixed you should work with mason on his cornering and passing confidence. I feel lik he gets a little intimidated coming in to a corner with someone and gets a lttle nervous to be agressive. I feel like if he was more confident in his cornering ability and not afraid to push someone out of his line and show them hes taking that line and passing no matter what he could gain a couple postions for sure.

@Racin Evan 711 where’s the hate. His boys shouldn’t be racing in The beginner class. It should be a class for kids new to the sport. In the beginner classes you are going to have kids that are learning and you can’t complain about lappers or kids holding their lines.
