Great choices, so many to list in this category. Our duty rifle was the FN 15 Tac 3 Duty, which was also a great rifle.
FN make a solid rifle.
Some nice hardware there. I carried a Rock River LAR15 on duty for 20 years. Definitely nothing fancy about it but we never did anything to those guns beside shoot and clean them. And most of us were pretty lazy about cleaning them. In 20 years I never had a single failure. No kidding. Not one. No failure to feed, no light primer strike, nothing. As long as you just sprayed that bolt down with any kind of oil it was going to run. I never doubted that that gun would go boom if I needed it to. About halfway through my career we swapped out the barrels for 10.3" which made them better for CQB and jumping out of a car. I have nicer, lighter stuff in my personal arsenal but man, that $1200 Rock River just got the job done and took an absolute beating over the years.
did you have suppressors on the 10.3? i bet that thing barked haha
@@65stang98 Suppressor? No. We were just happy they updated the Eotech along with the barrel.
OH man. I had a rock river back in the day like 2007 I miss that thing.
It's always great to get hands-on reports like this. Thanks for this. I used to be real suspicious about Rock River. Let's face it, not many folks can afford Daniel Defense, Robinson, or Wilson Combat!
$1200 for an RRA LAR 15 over 20 years ago? Hell, they had an individual officer discount price of $600 in 2005/06 shortly after they got the DEA contract!
Aero has been my go to for years and never an issue. Recently picked up a Zion15 and very impressed so far.
They are very solid.
I bought a IWI Z-15 two years ago. It's a 16 inch with an lpvo and a Steiner red dot on top. I love it for the $$$. Great gun . I have a DD M4V7 and love it too. Thinking about getting a urgi in 11.5 or 14.5 . What y'all think!??
Great video. No BS. Love the channel & content you are putting out!
Glad you enjoy it!
Totally agree. Always looking forward to the next video.
Bought the Super Duder on black friday.. it was the best gift to myself.
Always gift the duder.
Best thing about the AR platform is you can buy a budget rifle from PSA and then slowly add high end internal parts, barrels and furniture as you train/ get better and as your financial situation allows it
The receivers if within spec really don't matter its all those inside parts.
I personally think it’s kinda a waste of money to put it into upgrades when you can just save up and buy another gun that’s nicer and better.
Why pay for questionable parts
Or buy a good rifle initially
For a duty gun, you can build with the best parts available in the industry for around $1200 if you can catch the individual components on sale and don’t mind minor finish blemishes. $200 will buy your lower and upper combo. $200, on sale ($300 map), will get you an FN hammer forged barrel from the same proprietary MG steel used in the M 249. $189 gets you a Geiselle trigger group during their multiple yearly sales. $100 for custom charging handle; $100 for nickel-boron coated premium bolt group. $200 for free floated m-lock rail group of choosing. Mil-spec parts kit $50. Magpul stock and grip $100. Wait, I just described the PSA SABRE!
Great list, love to see the PSA Sabre line getting some acknowledgment in the duty line of rifles. Looks like a great option for a SHTF rifle without breaking the bank.
That one surprised me for sure. I have a several thousand rounds through it and its doing exactly what my high end stuff does.
@@IronInfidel even my psa freedom rifle has several thousand rounds through it lol
I have sold a couple dozen of the Sabre product line and even built an SBR and plus and upper with the Geisselle handguard and chrome-lined barrel, plus the Sabre lower with the B5 furniture. I now stock two of the most popular models. Once people put their hands on them, they buy it. Dang thing sells itself at times. Especially, once they see mine and I run them myself. I don't babysit safe queens, I beat on my firearms to see what they are capable and look for weak points. But I also don't rag on PSA because I buy plenty of their products and I believe the issues that once supposedly had in the past are long gone.
But I do love my Daniel Defense, BCM, and many others. So many quality brands out there now days.
As a Tacoma resident, I'm glad you mentioned Aero. Im running Aero lowers on my 2 duty rigs, a 14.5" URGI and a 14.5" Block II type build. I built an M5 from AP, too, right before WA implemented their AWB. Very happy with Aero so far.
Aero is a great company.
My duty rifle setups.
Aero Precision
BCM
SOLGW
Every rifle I now own has something from these 3 great manufacturers. Bcm furniture specifically the stock and both pistol and forward grips are on every rifle, same with their rails. Aero receivers and barrels( yes I know it’s actually ballistic advantage) because they work damn good.
SOLGW internals, BCG,rails, and muzzle device. Barrels are specd from BA so same thing.
I’m running my patrol rifle with all 3 companies products.
Can’t go wrong with any of them.
All good stuff right there.
Appreciate the intel. From what I understand, PSA, dramatically, tightened up their figurative shotgroup on quality control, several years ago. And like most AR options out there, one may always create a Frankenrifle, using what he likes from PSA, and parts from other companies. Kris Paronto, I believe, used and still has a Bushmaster he modified in small ways. Y'all have fun, be safe. God bless. Scouts out!
They have done a lot .. Its still gonna take a long time to overcome it all.
I love this list and couldn't agree more. Great job covering multiple price tiers, but also explaining how they're are all solid (including the PSA Sabre!!), the customization options for Aero, the cost to quality ratio of BCM, and the expensive but super high-quality Blackout Defense AR-15 (which I haven't experienced but have seen nothing but excellent reviews for; that said, at least my ambi safety is from them! lol 😂)
There is so much good stuff out there and so many options there is no need to be a loyalists to one brand.
Nice choices so far. Full Ambi Lowers are the way to go. The best bang for the buck IMHO would be a BCM, but an Aero build would really let you control all all aspects of your rifle from front to back and price.
Only if that's what you prefer. I used to be all about ambi-controls, but now I have no need as I never use it. Now about your brand mentions. Completely agree. I am running a BCM 14.5 with an Aero Precision lower. I couldn't find a better fit. I've spent a lot of money. It dawned on me a BCM/Aero is my go to. Everything else cost wise is just a diminishing return that does nothing monumental for the increased price.
BCM is a real sweet spot.
Nice. I’ve owned quite a few of the common brands over the years. PSA, S&W, Aero, BCM, DD, Geissele. I’ve settled on BCM being the brand of choice, for me. Throw in a Geissele SSA/SSAE trigger and I’m good.
BCM is a great way to go for the value and qc.
Another great video! Blackout defense looks like an awesome option. Plus being right across the valley means I can shop local, kinda. lol
They are amazing rifles.
DD POF416 LWRC BCM Colt PSA Geissley, i got a POF revolution 308 DI 18.5" for 1499 its a ar15 chambered inn307 eventually lll get a bump fire stock and FRT and shoot a drum in 1.5 seconds, POF tested all rifles in full auto for tens of thousands of rounds
I have run pof before many times. They are solid.
I put together a super duty for just under $1900 with all factory parts except for a pinned noveske 11.5 SS barrel and man i couldn’t be more happier. Love all the discounts Geissele are running now.
Yes same here I play the long game and bought parts on sale… and saved so much money.
Very nice.
Another incredible video! I’m also really loving my diamondback DMB the upper level diamondback. Things shoots, so dang soft. I can put it up to my Defense V7 Pro and it will shoot softer. Super cool rifle for the money. Excellent content keep it up.
I hade an old DB that I ran for years and was the second owner of.
Like the BCM Products.
BCM is good stuff.
i have an olympic arms i bought about 20yeara ago with no issues , it has 16 in cold hammer forged barrel , a strange muzzel brake (has a grove at end of barrel and brake has set screws that hold it on . ran lots of rounds through it , used it for low enforcement use
Oh man its been a minute since I have seen one.
Pumped for my blackout defense to be delivered. Ordered on Black Friday. But good news to those interested, just got an email from them saying their wait times will be decreased drastically 🤞
Niiiiiiice. They just bought a bunch of new machines .. It took months to get them set up. Those things are the size of a tractor trailer.
I absolutely love my super duty from Geissele, great video Sir! Thank you for sharing, keep up the great work
Much appreciated.
I have a blackout upper in 556, and a few aero precision in 556 and 308 and they are great. The blackout is another level and the price is actually low when you see how nice it is. Such a great deal.
I have yet to see anyone not impressed with the blackout once they get hands on it.
DD Mk18/DD MK12
Geisselle URGI
LWRC IC-A5
BCM RECCE
COLT 6940
I’d also add the DD M4A1 socom upper to your list of rock solid DD products
I still love my mk18
Colt 🤣
IC-A5 would be top of the list
LWRC never gets any love
Right?!
Good stuff there.
Is it true they use proprietary parts so in the event that something failed, replacement parts would be more challenging to source?
@@scarfacen8459no
@@scarfacen8459The only thing proprietary is the upper receiver. Bcg ch barrel all interchangeable.
Have a sig tread,put a random charger,cmc trigger,13 inch handguard,sig msr, red dot m 1450 not counting mags,tac 6 case,ammo
Nice.
LMT and done!
hard to disagree there.
From what I've seen recently a Geissele URGI on sale is where it's at; one and done.
Yup its hard to pass by.
Excellent video 😎 personally considering the psa sabre with chf barrel model
I have been impressed with it.
I only have 1 AR currently and it’s a PSA Sabre 14.5 and I’ve had no issues with it and I’ve put around 2k rounds through it over the past 3 months. Had to change the gas rings but other than it’s been solid. Would like to get a better upper at some point and a 2 stage trigger . Trigger in it is great but I think I’d prefer a 2 stage for smoother longer shots.
I have been happy with mine.
5 Great choices with great explanation! Great video brother!!!
Glad you enjoyed!
I like Centurion, LMT, Geissele, BCM, and FN. Those are the AR manufacturers that I have the most experience with and would recommend to anyone asking me for advice. Everyone has their preferences and opinions or will always have something to say about anything but these are my top 5. Also love Griffin Armament's MK 2 ambi lower and Type A's stuff too. I understand Type A runs BA's barrels and Superlative Arms piston kit but I still like their offerings.
All good stuff
Great video I love the little shark fin in lol your rifle who makes that?????
That is the strike large hand stop.
There are gun shops where you can custom choose the various parts and the experienced people working there will put it together.
Some yes
I didn’t have an opinion on PSA till I ordered a kit to assemble. I had to put the BCG in a drill with sandpaper. After going through a couple of grits, I was then able to actually charge the AR15.
👌 now get your meds. You’re getting weird again.
How does one go about putting a bcg IN a drill??
I don't think I understand what you are saying here.
You chuck the BCG in the drill. Then loop sandpaper around and go for it.
I got the Blackout Defense Quantum II a couple years ago based on your review. It's been an amazing
It sure is. That new DTL is amazing.
Love all this updates. Cheers from Australia.
Much appreciated.
Was thinking about upgrading my barrels and BCG on both my Smith and Wesson M&P 15 and Radical Firearms RF-15. Already bought a couple single staged Giselle drop in triggers
Bolts are very important.
There are a ton of LWRC rifles in use with "special" groups within the JSOC arena. They are preferred over DD etc. due to reliability under higher rates of fire etc. Definitely not the predominate weapon but its there
Well the URGI is in all of SOCOM.
Love my V7 SLW
Nice.
Lets not forget about lwrc
My first pew. Just wish the barrel wasn’t a heavy profile.
Everyone forget about it!
Only the real ones know….
Never they are on another list.
After owning a couple LWRC rifles, I won’t by any means try saying they’re not good, I just think they’re more style than substance.
Of course they’re (mostly) piston which makes them stand out, to some degree.
They have good ambi lowers and the spiral fluted barrels look cool.
I’ve just never really seen a huge advantage when running piston vs DI aside from cleaning.
The LWRC line is of course good, I just prefer Geissele and such that have good triggers from the factory, etc
Bcm uppers, lwrc, american defense, pws, radian lowers. Radian charging handle, geissele triggers, cloud defense lights, eotech optics. Mclean sling
Good stuff.
That craziest shit is I have you water bottle never new you guys were a gun company but I found you guys lmao
Well now it's known
Aero Precision has always impressed me from price point to build options. Now their new PRO line up is a step up. I’ve gone BCM with 11.5 & 14.5 CHF. So I’m considering upgrading my 16 from a SA Saint Victor to the Geissele URGI. Question: What rail covers are on your URGI & BCM?
Aero is solid stuff. I was using the walker defense rail covers.
Really solid list bro. Right now I’m all about piston guns (PWS) since I’m shooting suppressed with my RC2. But I would like to get a workhorse AR that I can fun hard. I keep hearing good things about Blackout Defense. Really considering them. Or maybe go all in and get a KAC lol
Yup PWS is amazballs. I will be adding more and more to this lists in future videos.
Great video, looking forward to the sequel.
Coming in hot soon.
The only thing that is MSN on the geissele is the hand guard! They still use a colt or fn reciever and daniel defense m4 barrel and geissele handguard!
Ahh I think you mean NSN= National Stock Number .. MSN is a trash new network.
Tactical considerations, one of the best channels out there go follow my man
Much appreciated. I probably should start telling viewers over at the TC channel I do content here as well.
If I had to chose between the Blackout Defense Zero triggers or any of the Geissele automatics trigger's I would hands down choose the Blackout Defense Zero trigger. If I had to choose between the Geissle Urgi rifle or the Blackout Defense rifle for a Duty rifle my answer would be HUM! That is really a tough choice.
Iron infidel you should do a "if I could only have just one rifle video" lol when you own beaucoup number of some of the best AR style weapons in existence it would be a really hard video to make or at least it would be for me.
Blackout zero unless I needed a 2 stage for LR.
Super impressed with the Sabre
I've been happy with mine.
Great examples of high quality duty rifles. I would add the DD Mk18 as well. Just wondering why no one ever mentions LMT in these type of discussion 🤔.
Like I said in the video there will be a part 2, 4 and probably 4.. I have many more brands that will be added to the list.
My top 5 duty rigs would be....
1. Centurion CM4 11.5" or 14.5" MIDWEIGHT HF with C4 or CMR Rails & SOLGW / FCD Ambi Controls Lower..
2. Geissele Super Duty 11.5" or 13.9" With Geissele Ambi Controls Lower..
3. SOLGW M4-89 11.5" or 13.7" V2 or V2 HF With SOLGW / FCD Ambi Controls Lower..
4. BCM RECCE 11 BFH or RECCE 14 BFH With MCMR Or QRF12 & CMT Ambi Controls Lower With FCD / Geissele LWR Parts..
5. ADM UIC 11.5" or 13.9" CORE C.L. With ADM Ambi Controls Lower..
Honorable Mentions
TDP Colt M4 / M4A1 Family of Carbines..
PSA Premium Sabre 13.7" HF With MLOK Rail & Aero M4E1 Pro Ambi Controls Lower..
My question is why Centurion CM4 as number 1? I love Centurion and really wanted a MK12 upper but didn't want to pay. I'm curious if you have any experience with Centurion uppers/barrels.
@@ReticentIndignation Centurion HF Barrels are by far one of the most accurate C.L. Barrels period . Thier HF barrels have tapered bores that aide in insane accuracy. MIDWEIGHT HF is probably my absolute favorite barrel . I believe 14.5 Mid length MIDWEIGHT HF has 0.073 gas port which is very small considering most use 0.0075 - 0.081 . Avg is probably 0.078 .
I've been using Centurion Barrels and C4 Rails for damn near 13 years now .
Centurion gas ports are on the smaller side so you have smooth shooting Mid Length Barrels .
Monty is also retired NSW Operator / Sniper and he also worked at Crane developing / Testing guns for SOCOM . He is a freaking expert when it comes to building Duty/ no fail rigs . He knows what ot takes to have reliable Rig using quality parts .
B
Colt , BCM and Centurion I've been using the absolute longest so theres definitely some bias there lol.
@@seanwhite304 Damn...sorta wish I'd bought once, cried once. Wish I'd known about them sooner...so many other guns I have right now. Need to sell some as I've heard nothing but good concerning Centurion.
ADM is one of my favs.
@@ReticentIndignation I actually sold off a lot of shit over the past couple years. I used to never sell anything but that was actually dumb . I'll never sell guns that were given to me or my Colts . All others are tools .
It cool having 5 or 6 pistols and 5 or 6 Carbines .
All I personally need is 2 rock solid pistols with 1 back up and 3 rock solid Carbines.
Own the BCM 14.5 and I absolutely love it but I’m addicted to firearms, really debating the Urgi or a Cobalt Kinetics. Really want a Knights but can’t find them anywhere ever.
I love my URGI... Knights is like a year behind they hate the civilian market and don't give two shits if you ever get a rifle ... I have spoken to them more than once.
Definitely need this! Thanks!!
Good stuff.
Lots of great options for those looking to just buy a solid, bet-your-life AR or assembled upper receiver: BCM, Centurion, Sionics, Geissele, Daniel Defense, Ripcord Industries, ADM, lots to consider. It kinda boils down to details (features) and taste (looks). All of those options plus quite a few more are fairly reasonable in pricing for what you get, which is a product that has gone through strict quality control and uses good components.
For me, i'm a bit OCD and I like all my "primary use-case" AR's to have the same controls and furniture, the same triggers (or very very similar) and the same muzzle devices to use the same family of suppressors for 5.56 or 30 caliber. So I like to piece my parts together, build the lowers myself, and have the upper built for me since I don't have a vice, or a heat gun/blowtorch, or a Geissele reaction rod or similar in order to mount the upper on via the chamber of the barrel. Etc. Anyway, my go-to combo for a 5.56 fighting AR with high rise red dot/red dot magnifier combo is as follows and can be done for around 1700 dollars without attachments:
*UPPER*
Criterion Core series barrel
BCM headspaced bolt via Criterion
BCM upper/rail/gas block & tube
Surefire SOCOM brake
Radian Raptor SD charging handle
*LOWER*
Aero M4 or Centurion receiver
Geissele lower parts kit
Geissele SSA trigger
Radian safety
BCM MK2 buffer system
Magpul K2+ grip
Magpul CTR stock
SC Irregulars 0.75" cheek riser
Good alternatives are the Magpul 60/90 degree safety in place of the Radian, the Centurion AST (great combat two-stage trigger) is cheap for what it is but Geissele's G2S is basically an SSA manufactured differently to cut costs also, and Larue I believe makes a similar two-stage that i'd put in the "combat" family as well. Also for stocks, if using an LPVO or otherwise magnified primary optic you may simply want a stock with a wider comb/molded-in cheek weld as your head and neck positioning will likely need to be lower anyway, so probably skip the cheek riser. That is on my two main AR builds because they both have Aimpoint T2's on Unity 2.26 mounts and I get a cheek weld with a 3/4 riser, but without one, I get a bit of a more inconsistent chin weld. Just personal preference.
The Criterion Core barrels I feel are very overlooked regardless of how stellar the companies reputation is. They chrono very fast for a given barrel length for various reasons (I have data from their 13.9" if interested) and i've gotten 0.625" groups shooting off sandbags with IMI 77gr Razercore, my ideal factory load that i've found. I've also gotten 1" groups or slightly tighter from AAC 69gr OTM's and believe it or not I shot a 1" group with AAC 55gr FMJ from my 13.9" Core gun a couple weekends ago. Even took a picture of it. Lol. It has also shot 77gr Nosler OTM (Freedom munitions load) into 1" and several other cheaper factory loads into around 1.25". Like any gun it has had several loads it did not like as well, but those have been far fewer in number. A part of that accuracy is the very tightly headspaced bolt as well though. Do not skip out on that, order one with your barrel. Its very consistent (repeatable) in the angle and depth at which each round is chambered and lends itself to tighter groups before each projectile even leaves the casing.
Some of the best groups this combo has gotten were shot after the gun already had 2 - 3 full mags through it also. That is a big consideration. My tightest group with Razercore was after 80 rounds of other ammo being tested within 15 - 20 minutes. The barrel/smooth tapered medium profile is obviously a huge factor in that but the BCM upper components are all steel. So they expand at the same rate as the barrel during hard use, tolerance between barrel and nut/gas block don't really change because of that heat, and that means your barrel harmonics/vibrations don't really change due to heat as a result. Plus this helps maintain a super tight gas seal regardless of any semi-reasonable heat cycling (mag dumping) too. This is why I picked BCM upper parts (Geissele, ADM and Radian use aluminum barrel nuts for example - again, just personal preference) but in addition, the BCM upper receivers themselves offer an extremely tight slip fit/thermal fit for a barrel anyway, which is just a great starting point for having a robust, rigid upper.
There are a lot of great brands.
What about the IWI Zion 15? I have one and dude, right out of the box, this thing goes
Those are solid as well
Aero build is on my list. Just need to make the time to complete
Aero just give a great starter receiver set you can build 100% the way you want.
Love these rifles! Great video as always
Much appreciated.
6:50 Radian was the king of the hill until blackout defense appeared. Blackout Defense has set a new standard.
Radian is amazing and so is blackout .. Now if we could get them to collab and make the blackadian lol.
@@IronInfidel heres my dirty little secret ,I already did , a-dac lower with a blackout defense complete upper🤫
Wow, surprised SOLGW did not make the first list, especially with PSA and Aero on there…
Well Like I said not an exhaustive list and more videos will follow. There are several others like LRWC, VKTR, LMT, Knights and more that will get in here. But I wanted to hit the spectrum of prices and full builds/builder sets on this vid
I know you can't list them all but I like the Zion-15 by IWI.
That seems to be a really good value.
Not to mention Radian Mod 1, Noveske, LWRC and Sons of Liberty.
All good as well.
Radian Mod 1 and ANY Noveske are incredible rifles
Hoping to be able to pick up a BCM MK2 upper soon but am STILL back & forth on going w/a 14.5 or a 16. Decisions aren’t usually this tough.
If its a pin and welded 14.5, I'd suggest the 16 unless it comes with a muzzle device you love. Also, think about being able to attach a suppressor in the future if it's going to be your main rifle. If it's a pin and weld you're locked into whatever suppressors fit that device.
@@RS-un7zm Or just order it with the free A2 bird cage, it won't be P/W and have whatever muzzle device you want P/W when you get it.
Yup I need to get one of those uppers soon.
@@IronInfidel They're nice, don't notice gas to the face when shooting suppressed.
The BCM Recce does it for me. The PSA Sabre is an excellent, quality, affordable choice; I own one. The Geissele Super Duty is awesome, but I don't need it (I don't shoot thousands and thousands of 5.56 a year. Bidenomics is hurting us). Anyway, great analysis / presentation 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The BCM recce is a great rifle.
@@IronInfidel Yes, and so is the PSA Sabre. I could have, but don't want, at this moment, a Geissele Super Duty.
Everyone likes to make fun of PSA, but they are making a great product out of the box, and I don't think you can beat their price for a quality rifle. I'm definitely buying a sabre.
Put together 9 psa rifle kits so far with no issues whatsoever
The new Sabre line has impressed me. The cheaper stuff not so much.
@@theintrovertedcalifornian5047 - Awsome, I looked at afew of their kits, haven't decided yet.

What handstop is that on the geissele?
The new strike mini.
Sir on your geiselle duty rifle what is the side black milk rails on your forward hand guard???
Those are from walker defense.
I just bought a cloud defense light. Have you had any issues with the switch or light?
I have not .. Seems where was a batch of issues in the model 3.0.
I just built an Aero 8" 300 BO..... Glad to know it is considered "duty" rated
Depends on how you build it. The upper and lower receivers are great all the other parts are what you need to focus on.
@@IronInfidel Technically speaking, I purchased the upper and only built the lower. But I used a Geissele lower parts kit and Geissele SSA-E 2 stage trigger, Geissele buffer tube and the Geissele H3 buffer/42 spring in the Aero M4AE1 stripped lower and the Sylvan Arms folder with the SBTactical SB5 brace. The upper is the matching M4AE1 with quad rail and Sharps Rifle Company SAGRS Adjustable BCG; because I intend to suppress it once I get around to taking the time to remove the existing A2 flash hider and install the one I bought that works with the YHM R9 suppressor/hub adapter. I want to have a way to adjust the gas if needed without needing to install an adjustable gas block.
I decided for my first "build", I wanted to start small so I figured building the lower would be easier and less risky to do than building the upper. I can build an upper sometime in the future after I've done the research and am comfortable enough to try doing that on my own. I'm just not there yet.
I've already taken it to the range twice and runs flawlessly if a little over gassed as without making any adjustments to the BCG, the casings shoot out at about the 2-2:30 position. Anyway, I'm still learning but I'm mostly teaching myself by watching and learning from UA-cam videos like yours.
I know im late to the party.. but has BCM had any major drawbacks compared to more expensive options? Im an 11.5 fanboy, and as much as i can remember they pushed the 11.5 pretty hard. Others just doing it much better without much of a price gap?
BCM is another great rifle
PSA…better tear it down and be sure it’s assembled properly. The Blackout Defense looks sweet but under heavy use in full kit the non shielded controls would concern me. Never seen one in person so it may just look that way.
PSA has done much better on the sabre line but the other lower tier stuff not up to the task yet.
been loving my griffin armament, wanting to check out munitionworks and evolve weapons systems yet.
Griffin is great stuff.
They say "Opinions are like a$$holes - everybody has one"...but I think some people need to be reminded that if you have a stupid opinion based on your inability to listen (or comprehend?) you might BE one...
.....copy that - gotta be one to know one.....lol...
Well there is that. Next vid I will have my 2500+ rifles.
Are these all just DI rifles? 😒 I like short stroke piston rifles, what recommendations do you have in piston?
Yes, the way the system was designed. I do like some piston stuff I will cover in future vids.
If Sionics did a better job marketing to civilians they would be on damn near everyone's list.
I have a lower on the way from Sionics, and I have already purchased one of their BCGs. From what I understand, they have at least 300 to 400 LE contracts. Best kept secret in the AR community.
We have a bunch of them at our agency they are ok. Nothing special for the money but well built
I thought that blackout rifle had the red right hand system on the barrel at first look. Similar idea? Or completely different? Is it just about barrel whip? Or cooling as well?
The cooling effect is a bi products of more surface area as well as rigidity and keeping barrel whip to a min.
Imagine putting a PSA in a duty rifle list and leaving out the KAC SR-15
Its almost impossible to get a KAC first off and secondly did not you listen to when I said this wasn't an exhaustive list. And KAC is way over priced for what it is.
Would love to see Iron Infidel do NVG coaching.
Well I did just get some new gen 3 dual whites.
I bought a bcm upper with cold hammer forged barrel and I was really excited about it. But the accuracy just isn’t there. Sure it’s combat accurate but I was expecting more. I wonder if I just got a bad one? My ddm4v7lw with pencil barrel is very accurate but the the bcm not that great.
Interesting. I need to get a new mk2 upper and do a accuracy test on it.
Have a battle bottle I keep in my cruiser they are awesome
Love them.
Radian Model One 6.5 gr
Noveske Carry Handle 300 bo
DD MK18
Knights SR15 14.5
LMT Specwar
Those are my 5. Took me alot of trial and error to get there.
Radian is pure tactical sex appeal
@@IronInfidel Radians got the looks, but the specwars got my heart.
mmmmmm ver nice.
Zev core series I find fits Me best.
I have never owned one.
Not a fan of backup sights?
Not really ... I haven't run them in about 10 years.
BCM is my go to. Never a problem. That said my Aeros have never let me down either
BCM is a great way to go .
Bcm. Daniel defense would be 2 good ones
BCM is solid for sure. I have not had the best luck with daniel as of late.
@@IronInfidel
Elaborate? Their QC slacking?
@IronInfidel why what happen? I was thinking avout getting the ddm4v7
@@justusbryant7366 get it! I love mine
What mount was that on the eotech on the BCM?
That as from ADM just a pic riser.
I feel duty rifles should have forward assist’s
Why.. there was never one on the original design. If your isn't feeding property a forward assist isn't going to help much.
What about LWRC DI? Amazing rifles for the money
Good for sure.
Gotta checkout HM Defense with their monobloc barrels and bomb proof bolts. Great video/rifles.
I have run the monobloc barrels before not the HM direct but they distribute through lead and steel.
@@IronInfidel oh sweet! Any issues with them?
So I went with a 13.5 dd upper pin and welded. sogw stripped lower bcm parts kit and b5 stock. Waiting in a geissely trigger. Went with sig romeo cause they really work for me. Want to upgrade the charging handle. But so far the dd stock C.H is working fine for me. Got so used to using a mil spec charging handle. I almost put on on. Haven't tried a radian raptor. Does anyone here have experience with it? Is it worth the purchase or just a waste of hard earned ducats?
Radian raptor is a great one , Its what I use mostly ...
No cobalt kinetics , or BG defense lol Ik they are in the conversation but we really need a actually top 5 from you no if ands or butts lol na but fr a top 10 would be great
I get ya. I need to get my BG back out its been a long time.
I built on one, but I used a ballistic advantage upper .. Everything else is gessele..
Nice.
PSA rocks!
The sabre forged one I have does. I cannot speak to the lower tier stuff.
What no Smith n Wesson MP 15 What a great gun I have the older one with heavy barrel I can Shoot Flys with that Baby n a $30. light with pressure pad from ebay a laser H Bar sights or an ACOG !
Personally I have seen too many of the bolts give out in them when used hard.
@@IronInfidel Really i better put a god one in then !!! thanks for the info !
Haven't even heard of Black out Defence is this similar quality to Radian Kac
Yes they are a more premier brand like radian.
"Super duder" I'm using that
It will go down in history lol.
What handstop is that on the third all black rifle?
strike large stop
@@IronInfidel thanks, I love your videos tons of great info
Wait, that spot looks familiar. Are y'all near PHX by any chance?
about 30 miles
I’ve had 2 urgi and the rebcg absolutely destroys the buffer for whatever reason
Sounds more like your lower is out of spec
@@deadheart556 that would be the case if the buffer was hitting the retaining pin but it’s not. You can see where burrs on the back of the bcg are gouging the buffer. Soon as I replaced the rebcg no more problems
@@aaa3d473 did you send that shit back to Mr Bill? Id like to know the end result here, those BCGs alone are super expensive.
@@deadheart556 they refused to warranty. And their customer service rep also tried to tell me buffers making contact with the retaining pin [not my issue anyway ] was normal during operation of the rifle. Brownells did both RMA with no questions asked. So brownells is goat. I won’t be buying from bill anymore
Something isn't right there. What lower are you using and do you have a tension screw in it.
Honorable mention IWI zion 15
Well there will be more of these videos.
