CASTLEVANIA: BLOODLINES - SEGA GENESIS - 1994 - S06:E15

Welcome to aBITnostalgic! On this channel, I try out Sega Genesis games. Growing up I had sided with the Super Nintendo during the console wars. By doing so, I missed out on the Genesis. Time to check out some of the games I missed. Today's game, Castlevania: Bloodlines! I'm not here to play every game, nor am I hear to beat them. I just want to see what I had missed, and who knows, maybe even start a small new collection along the way. Beyond impressed - I gotta say, one of the coolest things I've seen (in ANY CastleVania title) is the rotting wolf's howling bringing down shards of window pane glass, which you have to dodge. Brilliant.

Bloodlines is dripping with cool factor, pun intended. I like the quick pace of its setpieces, similar to Contra Hard Corps.

Looks and sounds really good and I think the gameplay of this one great and fluent. Amount of gore here we don't get with SNES super Castlevania 4. Well done, cool video, narrating and playing same time 🙂

Loved this game! Played it on the Castlevania Collection a few years ago. If I remember right, it has different paths for the characters, too.

It was honestly awesome watching you play this for the first time-brought back a lot of great memories. And yeah, it’s around $80-$100? I could be off.
