Hey guys! Real quick reference that I am a PC gamer. I don’t know a whole lot about console. I’m sorry for any confusion! This headset didn’t work when I tried to plug it into my PS4, and that could just be a user error or something wrong with my system. There are a lot of reports tho that say as long as your console has a USB port - it should work. I cannot verify that so I’m not comfortable saying “yes/no it will/won’t work.” Thanks for understanding!!
Okay, so I just plugged the headset into my ps4 and it did play audio but the only way to adjust the volume is through ps4 settings. It did light up green. I don't recommend this for console players...just get the kraken designed for the ps4. For pc players though, pretty good!
FINALLY! A review on the Black version of the Razer Kraken Kitty Edition THX asdfghjkl (name too long). No offense to the Quartz gang, and it's what I initially liked too, but my set-up is also in all black (gotta follow through on that aesthetics) and I was just pretty bummed out that I couldn't see a lot of reviews for it so this is appreciated! And I agree about the glasses! I wear one too and compared to my Astro A10s, I didn't feel any stress and pressure build up around my ears or headband fatigue as well. One thing I learned though, is that the software for this (and Kraken in general apparently?) is quite finicky? The surround sound option would sometimes revert to stereo mode. I had to reinstall the Synapse 3 a few times and for someone who isn't techy, this got me sweating buckets (given the steep price point). Thank you again for the review!

Great video! Very informative. I just ordered these exact headphones today from Best Buy. They had them on sale for $99. I’ve been rocking a $50 Corsair headset and it has terrible sound quality, the mic doesn’t work, and they get so uncomfortable after wearing them for a short period of time. So this will definitely be a step up from what I had. You video just made me feel even more confident about my purchase. So thank you! You’re awesome! 😊❤️

I greatly appreciate you mentioning how the headband doesn't hurt when it rests on the top of your head; I thought I was a weirdo for being the only person I know who gets that! However, there is one thing you didn't go into about the headband that I am curious about. Given that these are Razer's second version and are unisex, would you recommend these for anyone with a small head? I have had immense difficulty finding a set of headphones that won't fall off if I look down or sneeze, LOL! Thanks again for all the valuable information; keep up the great work, girl! Ps; the cable length could easily be increased with a USB male to female extension cable for that cord management and length issue!
The only thing that she has said so far that's different from what you said is that she wishes it were in Dark purple. Her red hair clashes with the pink so she usually avoids pink as well but it would be nice if Razer had other colors.

The only problem I have with these is that their kinda limited on what you can plug them into, unless you get a usb port and they don't suit me well, but I think it's because I'm used tight headsets instead of massive bulky ones, and cool vid ^_^

Hey i have a question ! i just got this headset today but it’s kinda loose for me, i’m unsure if that’s just my headset or not, but is yours loose too? like my isn’t tight on my head, even after i adjust it, does yours push against your ears or does it just sit there and when you move your head it also moves? cause i want them pushing against my ears but idk how to do that 😀

Sure: 1. Yes there is a BT version. I have not heard the best things about it though. 2. Yes. Black and Quartz (light pink) 3. Yes but it has to be through the Synapse 3 or the Chroma Studio programs.
Not silly! These are wired so you cannot remove the cable. There is a Bluetooth version, but I have not heard the best reviews on them to be honest. Hope this helps! :)
Nope! there’s no snapping at the earmuffs. The ears are solid. I’ve yanked them around plenty of times and they are fine so far. Durability is relative so it all depends on what you think is appropriate. Microphone is not detachable either, just retractable.
I just bought krakens for half off but i want these really badly and i could return them and pay a bit more money wise, but i really like the clean design of the kraken Ultimates, but kitty ears would be really cool. I just wish they were rgb removable or something. They are really cute but i wouldn't want them all the time
@@AltF4Nicole so I caved and ended up buying the kitty black kitties and sim so excited. They get here Tuesday. Wearing them in online school and such is going to be a blast. I'm so excited about the RGB and everything. But when I can't use them for like recording stuff my for schools choir/show choir/band programs I have my standard Kraken ultimates. Perfect.
See I thought the led's in the ear cups was the problem. so I immediately turned them off. turns out the problem is that speakers inside the ear cups are emitting the heat that you feel. if you're not using them you'll notice that the ear cups are cool with the RGB going.
Interesting! Makes sense tho because I feel like they're super powerful. I think also it has to do with the ear cups being so form fitting that it might be trapping the heat your ears/body gives off in general. Just my thought process! lol
@@AltF4Nicole yeah theyre pretty intense. if you use them to listen to music they can get really loud. loud enough to not be able to hear yourself speak, even if youre using the built in mic monitoring. i love them i just think maybe razer could have changed the way to mute the mic. thats the biggest con for me.
Does this headset only have a usb connector or does it have the option to take it out of the usb plug and have a headphone plug(like the one that goes into your phone)
No. 😕 My headset has been working just fine. I don’t use the attached mic very often so I don’t have like any settings I use specifically. You’re not plugging it in to any kind of usb hub or usb extension cord right?
I have massive sound problems with the pink version with USB port when I play on pc. On ps4 the microphone is complete trash. Most people can't hear me without screaming
Could be a USB port issue for PC. Lots of factors come into play. I thought my headset was broken cause my PC was throwing all these weird driver errors for it, but it turned out to be my power supply dying. Don’t know much about console so I wish I had a better answer for you there. 🥺
A quick question can i plug the usb port into a audio jack like getting something where i have a usb port that connects to a audio jack will it work on phone
There’s USB female to 3.5mm audio Jack converters, but I can’t guarantee that it would work. Also there is a Bluetooth version, so I would go with that instead if you’re trying to get it to connect to your phone.
Hey!! I have a question about the Add On's, so for example I buy the headset the one you are using are the kitty ears glued on the headset? Like you can't take them off? They are permanent ?

Sure, so the add ons refer to headset purchases that don’t already have the ears attached. The add ons are not RGB from my understanding, they are purely decorative. The Krakken Kitty headset itself is USB so it is wired and powered at all times. :) I hope this helps!
i bought these, waiting to get them. the only thing i hate about them so far (compared to my hyper x), the non-detachable cable. like, if the cable breaks, the headphones are useless :/

I’ve had these for months now, first day it arrived straight from Best Buy we ordered online so I’d come quicker I guess, I was patient opened it and was automatically defected so I looked for solutions or stuff from Reddit people are having the same issue, if there’s something you did for these to work so well please let me know mine cuts out when the audio is above 40% and freezes my pc I tried cheaper headsets and they work better but for now I suggest for all of you reading this be careful buying these you’ll probably have the same issue!!
extremely late to this but the reason why is because of the poor build quality. to fix this issue all u legit have to do is turn off the led lights in the razer synapse software and then everything works fine.
They will work, but - from what I’ve been told - the Chroma Studio & Synapse programs (what you use to change the colors) are only available for Windows OS. 🥲
I have a question! Can you hear yourself in your external mic when you speak? i dont want to use the headset mic and i want to be able to hear myself in my external mic. I did the setting where you can "listen to this device", but there is a slight delay i feel. I did order a usb to 3mm converter but i dont think that will end up working since the headset needs power.

There should be an option under settings to change your audio output.

Can you turn the lights off at any point? Just in case it is too toasty it can be flipped off it needed.
Do you also have like a long term review? I heard that a lot of people get problems with the headphones software after a while.

Not silly! These are wired so you cannot remove the cable. There is a Bluetooth version, but I have not heard the best reviews on them to be honest. Hope this helps! :)

My regular Razer headset use to snap near the earmuff, how durable are yours?

Nope! there’s no snapping at the earmuffs. The ears are solid. I’ve yanked them around plenty of times and they are fine so far. Durability is relative so it all depends on what you think is appropriate. Microphone is not detachable either, just retractable.

I just bought krakens for half off but i want these really badly and i could return them and pay a bit more money wise, but i really like the clean design of the kraken Ultimates, but kitty ears would be really cool. I just wish they were rgb removable or something. They are really cute but i wouldn't want them all the time

@@AltF4Nicole so I caved and ended up buying the kitty black kitties and sim so excited. They get here Tuesday. Wearing them in online school and such is going to be a blast. I'm so excited about the RGB and everything. But when I can't use them for like recording stuff my for schools choir/show choir/band programs I have my standard Kraken ultimates. Perfect.
See I thought the led's in the ear cups was the problem. so I immediately turned them off. turns out the problem is that speakers inside the ear cups are emitting the heat that you feel. if you're not using them you'll notice that the ear cups are cool with the RGB going.
Interesting! Makes sense tho because I feel like they're super powerful. I think also it has to do with the ear cups being so form fitting that it might be trapping the heat your ears/body gives off in general. Just my thought process! lol
@@AltF4Nicole yeah theyre pretty intense. if you use them to listen to music they can get really loud. loud enough to not be able to hear yourself speak, even if youre using the built in mic monitoring. i love them i just think maybe razer could have changed the way to mute the mic. thats the biggest con for me.

No. 😕 My headset has been working just fine. I don’t use the attached mic very often so I don’t have like any settings I use specifically. You’re not plugging it in to any kind of usb hub or usb extension cord right?
I don't really use headphones with my gaming PC but my MSI RGB headphones have good sound quality
I have massive sound problems with the pink version with USB port when I play on pc. On ps4 the microphone is complete trash. Most people can't hear me without screaming
Could be a USB port issue for PC. Lots of factors come into play. I thought my headset was broken cause my PC was throwing all these weird driver errors for it, but it turned out to be my power supply dying. Don’t know much about console so I wish I had a better answer for you there. 🥺

A quick question can i plug the usb port into a audio jack like getting something where i have a usb port that connects to a audio jack will it work on phone
There’s USB female to 3.5mm audio Jack converters, but I can’t guarantee that it would work. Also there is a Bluetooth version, so I would go with that instead if you’re trying to get it to connect to your phone.

Hey!! I have a question about the Add On's, so for example I buy the headset the one you are using are the kitty ears glued on the headset? Like you can't take them off? They are permanent ?
Hey hun! So with my headset the ears are permanently attached to the headband. They are not removable. ❤️

Sure, so the add ons refer to headset purchases that don’t already have the ears attached. The add ons are not RGB from my understanding, they are purely decorative. The Krakken Kitty headset itself is USB so it is wired and powered at all times. :) I hope this helps!

i bought these, waiting to get them. the only thing i hate about them so far (compared to my hyper x), the non-detachable cable. like, if the cable breaks, the headphones are useless :/
It’s a pretty tough cord so unless you take a razor blade or an animal chews it up, you should be good. :)

No unfortunately not. It’s a solid USB only cable.

There is a Bluetooth version, but I can't vouch for that one cause I haven't tried it. But I would look up some YT reviews on the BT version. :)

Not sure what you mean 😢 I had a regular Kraken for 8 years, but it did hurt the top of my head and ears a little if that’s what you mean?

You can do it through PC programs, but you can’t plug the headset into the Seiren. 😕

How do I get the synapse program if I play on an xbox? Can I download it on my macbook?
It’s for windows only. Some other commenters have said they found a workaround but synapse is officially only for windows. :/
I’ve had these for months now, first day it arrived straight from Best Buy we ordered online so I’d come quicker I guess, I was patient opened it and was automatically defected so I looked for solutions or stuff from Reddit people are having the same issue, if there’s something you did for these to work so well please let me know mine cuts out when the audio is above 40% and freezes my pc I tried cheaper headsets and they work better but for now I suggest for all of you reading this be careful buying these you’ll probably have the same issue!!

extremely late to this but the reason why is because of the poor build quality. to fix this issue all u legit have to do is turn off the led lights in the razer synapse software and then everything works fine.

They will work, but - from what I’ve been told - the Chroma Studio & Synapse programs (what you use to change the colors) are only available for Windows OS. 🥲

I have a question! Can you hear yourself in your external mic when you speak? i dont want to use the headset mic and i want to be able to hear myself in my external mic. I did the setting where you can "listen to this device", but there is a slight delay i feel. I did order a usb to 3mm converter but i dont think that will end up working since the headset needs power.
You can if you use a program like Voicemeeter. That’s what I use for my usb mic.
