This is the best video on MSTR and BTC I’ve seen (and I’ve watched many hours of them) hands down! Congrats Rajat on taking your time and bringing out the best of Ben Werkman, who I think understands this trade better than anyone aside from Saylor himself.
This guy makes MSTR taking out debt sound as easy as selling lemonade at a roadside stand. All the MSTR quant guys make it all technical. But this guy. Wow- amazing
I've been hoping for this interview! Really excited to see this information and Ben get more of the spotlight. Rajat has a lot of my respect. The man is a warrior for truth and understanding.
Lots of great info and getting a clearer picture of the new products MicroStrategy is bringing to market. Thanks for the awesome interview with Mr. Werkman.
The very first minutes of the interview it’s the salvation stone for the ones who truly believe in bitcoin It’s 100% correct and you must listen to it carefully
Now that is a smart well informed articulate man. Thanks Rajat. And yes...large cities in blue states are riff with crime. There is another lesson to learn. 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Rich Dad Poor Dad mindset. Prioritizing the asset section of your balance sheet over the income section of your cash flow statement. The problem with wage increase is it’s usually accompanied by an increase in spending.
And what happens when those arbitrage funds call MSTR to convert into shares their bonds? They get the shares? And then? They sell the shares at the market? Thx
When you think about it the amount of hours someone should even need to work to make ends meat per week should actually be decreasing but it doesn't because of broken money and things like zoning laws, regulations and red tape. People work 40 hours just to get by and some work 50-60 hours to get by, when in truth by now people should only have to work like 20 hours a week to get by and the amount of hours should be forever decreasing. The reasoning for this is simple, as we advance we get more efficient at producing goods so poverty should always be going down.
I’m still pretty ignorant on this whole thing the possibility that micro strategy charges a negative interest rate for their bonds? Is it possible that people pay micro strategy for the privilege to get access to their product?
Hey Rajat if you think Paul is confused about whether BTC is a scam or not, you should check out his video titled 'New MSTR Stock Price To Buy After The 10 to 1 Stock Split.' It's another one that will not age well
@@rajatsonifinance I'm starting to think he lost a bet and was forced to make videos humiliating himself. I mean what else could it be??? Either that or I'm being punked
As someone living in Japan I highly recommend it. The capital gain tax in Japan for btc is like 50%, whereas stocks are 20% or 0% (investment accounts). Japan as far as I know doesn't have an etf, so I can easily see a lot of money pouring into metaplanet as btc rises.
@ thanks! That’s great! Is it 0% if you leave it longer than a year? I think it’s like that here in the USA within certain amount at 0% tied to income.
My question is, what if the majority of the convertible bonds do not want it converted into shares and then Microstrategy has $20+ billion in debt to pay back?
@ so I’m guessing they’d have to sell BTC to pay it back but I guess if the share price way out performs the conversion price they would all convert. Would be stupid not to convert if it’s that’s far into the money
I don’t see bitcoin becoming an asset of peace. I expect people to fight over it countries perhaps. It’s much harder to steal than gold or any other physical assets, but I’m not so sure how realistic it is to be a bringer of peace.
@@rajatsonifinance I guess there would be no easy way for this to go down. It hasn't been a problem yet, because we don't have mass adoption, and not everyone is self-custodying their keys. Ppl who self custody, with back up options, or doing multi sig will be way harder to steal from. It will happen though on small levels. Just like when someone tries to rob you at gun point, or commits a home invasion. Someone holding a gun can be very persuasive--- but again that's small scale, not countries, so I see your point. It's not like Russia can invade some smaller country, and steal all their bitcoin easily. However, there are some places that hold billions in Crypto. There is a bunker in Switzerland I think, not sure how many exist, but it's under guard, and it is a mass cold storage facility.
Because some of them can't buy Bitcoin directly (the debt buyers) and others want to participate in the company's future or also can't buy Bitcoin directly (stock holders)
@ with the amount of BTCs that MSTR owns, it is not 1:1 ratio or close to it. People are actually own way less BTCs if they buy shares. Maybe I just don’t understand their business.
Not really. Anyone can accumulate bitcoin at the current price. If people choose to ignore it, that's not division. They're doing it by choice. They're choosing to stay broke. Either way in the future, they'll be fine because they'll be paid in bitcoin.
@@BenWerkmanThks, Ben for the great interview and Rajat for inviting him. We understand that sometimes these terms are used as an affirmative and I for one have gleaned much from all your insightful sharing in the space. 😊
I am going to continue to stack raw Bitcoin and leave MSTR alone. At some point MSTR will be forced to sell Bitcoin. Either MSTR will be insolvent or it’s counter parties will be insolvent. We have seen this movie before.
I somehow get MSFT’s decision being made that not adding BTC at corporate level. They might think shareholders can do that on individual level with the money they generated & returned (either via capital gain or dividends). But it’s not tax effective
Ben is the best guy in the MSTR space. And there are a lot of good ones
Totally agree
Investment answers Id recommend he was on it way before anyone else thank god I listened to him
This is the best explanation interview regarding what MicroStrategy does, well done getting this guy on!
Yes , thank you guys
Indeed.
You are absolutely correct. It gave more details on what MSTR is.

Ben Werkman's explanation of MSTR is the most detailed from both a macro and micro perspective
Best explanation I’ve heard on MSTR

Great interview. Keep up the great work!
Such an insightful video
Excellent Interview 🎉🎉🎉
Btw , ever since Citron , MSTR's Stock price never got that high after
Now because of Citron Rigetti computer is falling. It was doing great before that
MSTR should hire this guy and speak right after Saylor to handle normies and appreciate what MSTR is all
about.
This was an excellent explanation, thank you
Excellent info…thx.
Would it be smart to DCA into MSTR ?
I have repeat listening 3 times 😂today
Tbh I had to play it back a couple of times to understand the concepts too
only price matters...NOTHING else ,matters
Great video

They may hold

Hi Rajat
Mara and riot started to copy MSTR model
Do u know they will be future MSTR
May be compare MSTR four years ago and now model ?
To be honest I don't know much about them
Hi friend. What do you think about CLSK and MARA shares?
BUY!!!! ; ) $IREN $HIVE $BITF too to name a few.. ; )
I stick to btc and mstr
Hi! Ben is awesome! Thoughts on Metaplanet?
I stick to mstr and btc
@ Metaplanet is following the MSTR playbook for Asia. Seems like it should be part of the conversation. Especially since they 1660% last year alone

Yes. YES!!
Ben!! The man
Can you address googles willow quantum chip and what it means for the bitcoin network
From what I've read, it's not powerful enough to take down SHA256
My question is, what if the majority of the convertible bonds do not want it converted into shares and then Microstrategy has $20+ billion in debt to pay back?
I think they don't have a choice at a certain point

1:05 I highly suggest everyone study priced in BTC for every asset over 3 5 10 year periods. The outcome will be shocking!
going to a million😂
If it would crash today he would just buy more.
💯💯

How would they steal it? If they kill the holders they get nothing

❤❤❤👍👍👍
So MSTR takes people money and buy BTCs. Why don’t people buy BTCs themselves and skip the middle man (MSTR)?
Because some of them can't buy Bitcoin directly (the debt buyers) and others want to participate in the company's future or also can't buy Bitcoin directly (stock holders)
@ with the amount of BTCs that MSTR owns, it is not 1:1 ratio or close to it. People are actually own way less BTCs if they buy shares. Maybe I just don’t understand their business.
Microsoft has huge shareholders that will need to be convinced, unlikely imo
They said no!
So basically, you believe in btc,you hold microstrategy minimum 4 year.
💯💯
Bitcoin = division..those that have and those that don't..

this guy is such a moon boy lol
How?
I was put off when he used the words absolutely and obviously in the first sentence.
Why?
To be fair nothing is absolute or totally obviously good and there is always risk. But if we take no risk there is little chance of reward.
I've noticed before I have a habit of over using "absolutely", "obviously" and "right" in my conversations. Tough habit to break sometimes.

How would MSTR be insolvent if they're selling shares to buy Bitcoin?
Yes, Holding coins on Coinbase is the biggest risk. 💯
Not that complicated really. Simple pyramid scheme.
