- New version of the Krauser boss fight with Knife only, this time it's from the RE4 HD, so everything is better than my old video. The difficulty is Professional, and there is no damage taken.

Making the knife this effective at that point of the game (near the end) is genius design. The knife fight cutscene between Leon and Krauser was a hint to this lol bravo RE4 designers, they even used a cutscene to serve the gameplay.
But with that arm you figure he is now bigger and badder and the knife wouldn’t do shit anymore….

M Kaif N Krauser is extremely good at dodging bullets, he can be beat with a gun especially if he gets hit with a PRL or Handcannon but he can dodge those shots too so the knife makes the boss fight easier.

The knife fight from earlier is actually a clue to his weakness to the knife, especially the part where Krauser was slashed in the chest area and stopped his attack briefly.

Not in RE2. Played it recently and regular zombies take 10-12 slashes. Lickers? Forget about it. Decent in RE3 though. Dodge helps for zombies, and Nemesis form 2 is easy with knife. Code Veronica knife is OP.
Yeah, knives on first REs aren't convenient. By the way, I heard that in original Gamecube release knife was *half* the power compared to ports (they have around 1.3 damage). So Capcom buffed it, to make it more useful weapon.
@@nyanjess Except in CV. The knife was RIDICULOUS in that game (instead of hitting them once, it would make multiple points of contact in one swing, dealing a stupid amount of damage).

The knife was the secret ‘key’ to beating Krauser without wasting a ton of ammo. Krauser fell just as easy to the knife-whether it was your first or tenth attempt to beat him.

U5000000 or pc. These two are nearly same in regard to technical design. (yeah, you guys are most likely to point out that they are same without a doubt, but there's a small difference when it comes to mercenaries if you haven't known).

The reason the knife is easier, is because according to the story, krauser and leon should only really be fighting with knifes.
(17 total walkthroughs, all levels of difficulty, all merc missions complete - My experience)

This makes it look too easy. I’ve died at least 50 times. Guess I suck at pushing the damned buttons at the right time.
Push both sets of buttons at the same time. There's no penalty for pushing the wrong ones as long as you push L R A X at once. The game will register the correct ones were pressed.

Best enemy of the game hands down, not too hard to beat but their rivalry was pretty cool
I agree he can be difficult to defeat however I would fight him any day over U3 a.K.a IT or whatever saddler referred to him the Scorpion dude with the pincers before Krauser the one which you have to fight in the cages . I've played through this game on both normal and professional over a dozen times through the years . It's one of my favorites the franchise. I love being able to use the Unlock-ables super weapons you get after each play through And mercenaries mode the hand-cannon, Chicago typewriter, the infinite rocket launcher and the P.R.L 412 some of which are very difficult to get your hands on but well worth the effort . Most of them make boss fights a breeze

Before these walk through videos came, me and my friends were played this game in gaming cafe by sharing, we've wasted almost few hours by wasting ammo and dying, once I suddenly got an idea to try knife, reason is simple, before this fight Leon and Krauser had encountered with knifes, so it made the plot to think and tried, whoa! It worked, the only thing is timing, if everything goes well, Krauser is easy to defeat!
Noone seems to realize how useful the knife in this is. Not just in this boss fight either. It is a great weapon
i remember the moment i realized that the knife was the best weapon against krauser (besides the PRL ) , i was out of ammo and Krauser was going to rush attack me, so i pulled out my knife out of desperation and countered him and he went into his vulnerable state. I then noticed that if i timed it right i could get him at bay and kill him quite easily, wasted X amount of ammo earlier just to kill him with the knife......

That guy was the hardest thing for me in this game! I always run around with my TMP and used to get chopped by him a lot but now he is not as hard as a simple villager! Thanks a lot bro!
I easily killed Krauser with the knife in Pro .
I just stood there where fight scene starts.
I kept the knife slash buttons held down and slashed away at him.
I'm looking forward to going around again and having to fight him again !

Better effect is when you have empty hands(no gun). My fight was much more effective.

Thank you sooo much, dude! I was stuck and in angst in this chapter and i thought that I would never be able to get out of it. Krauser is the real final and ultimate boss to defeat ('cause Saddler is not so hard after all). I've used e very little amount of ammo, the knife does work better than fire weapons. And i really enjoyed the fight.

I did same thing using all of the ammo I had to. Even pump 12 rounds from the Killer 7 that was completely max out on fire and still didn't kill them. Guessing cornering him and cut him to death is the only way to make it to the next part of the game.

he partners with leon in a relatively obscure game most people haven't played (darkside chronicles), most people who played re4, including me, had no idea who he even is when they first played it. so they hardly count as the best partners in gaming. as for best rivals? krauser doesn't even feature in this game much outside of the QTE knife fight cut scene and then his boss fight, so they are hardly notable rivals either.
the experience of most people is that a weird commando dude just sort of appears out of nowhere and gives you a badass boss fight, then dies and is never seen again.
I won't call it professional cuz is the best weapon to kill him after the PRL412

They actually are, but Krauser takes A LOT OF BONUS DAMAGE to the knife, you just spam knife without wasting time or ammo and you're done, and killing Krauser takes like, 6 shots of RPG.

Krauser is just jealous toward Leon that he find out Leon is secretly work for Goverment while he work for Mercenary.
Its basically put Leon above him in rank, also his right arm were injured badly and he can't be mercenary anymore, thats why he need to find Wesker to restore his left arm and become loyal dog to him.

I tried this stratagey and every time i started knifing him he would either backflip away and dash foward with his arm or use the unblockable leg sweep
Attack after he misses his roundhouse kicks. Best opening to hit him and another opening is when he leaps in the air to attack you and misses.

I use RPG on him only he blocked it with the wings, then 6 magnum, 8 cannon boombs, 16 shotgun ammo, 23 pistol ammo then with 10 hp I used knife on him beacuse I was all out of ammor by then.... when I found out the main way to kill him is using a "knife, " I was PISSED !!!

I used the killer7 and Lost 3 clips and then I had to use my rocket due to low of ammunition, when all I could have done is fee knife hits!?!???
The Knife is the only weapon you need not just for Krauser but the whole franchise.
I can't stun lock him like that. He always does just one flip instead of two and it's already too late when I approach him. Makes me wanna reload a save and buy a rocket launcher
