    This was super helpful for a fast starfield, thank you! Can't wait for part 2, haha

      Story of my life. I learn how to create a universe and here comes NASA with their cool little satellite and now we have to learn new ways to copy it. Seriously though, those JWT images are amazing.

      Possibly, I’ve been making space scenes in Unreal lately, but i may revisit this.

    Just watched your video on how to make a square in Fusion and thaught of another way of doing it! You can use the "=" as the height and set it to "Width*(1920/1080)", then change the width and it'll change the height

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  2 роки тому

      Yes, that’s a great one. That works well. Only issue is it changes the resolution and may not work well with mixed resolution masks, but definitely an option.

  • @sergentboucherie

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  2 роки тому

      It has time stamps as well so in theory, it should be easy to navigate to whatever part you want to work on.

      @@CBSuper I love how you made your nebula, but personally for the star field I would go for a particle system in a giant cube since you decided to go 3d with it, you need just 1 system with colour variance on particles, no really need for size variance since they will vary in distance, no need for any movement (unless you want to have your Universe expanding) and you can go for blobs or custom particles shapes.
      For people who want to try making a complete 3d scene in Fusion Chetal Gazdar had a pair of tutorials for an asteroid field, Automatisator Peace and 3D Max Model had planet tutorials and Vito Lamanna (ConFusion) have an incredible sun tutorial.

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  2 роки тому

      @@sergentboucherie i love Vito’s stuff. I’ll have to check out his sun tutorial. I played around with using particles for stars as well. The theme for this video was showing how to use 3d cards and fast noise since they are easier on your computer resources than the particles, but maybe on the next one. The next video uses particles for the sun and it gets out of hand pretty quick.

    Great tutorial- and I thank you for the time and dedication you've put in. I have an issue, where 24:26 my camera doesn't move towards the nebula, or stars... Possible reason?

    • @CBSuper
      @CBSuper  2 роки тому

      My guess would be to check the key frames of the camera transform node. May have moved the camera but not animated it.

    Great tutorial, however my nebula lasts only 1 frame, I set the Stroke Duration in paint node for the total frame count but that didn't work. Any suggestions? Thank you

    • @CBSuper

      Check the original length of the fusion comp. May only be 1 frame long.

    • @CBSuper

      Man, that is like the greatest compliment. Making these scenes in DaVinci is tough. I’ve diverged a bit into using Blender and Unreal Engine mostly, but still use Fusion and DaVinci for all the video editing work. I’ll try to revisit this series.

    Great! Thanks. Altough I'm on the 18.6.4 version and stuck on Nebula 1. Connecting everything to Merge5 makes the stars dissapear covered by this merge. Blend to 0 on Merge5 brings them back, but than I can't paint anything :) Any suggestion what could have changed in the program?

    • @CBSuper

    this looks very impressive and i follow you while explaining all you did ... but something goes wrong . I have the black background and the fastnoise nodes. but when i follow your movements while bringing the alpha channel down to zero i see straight through the background. Yours is perfect black .... i only get a black background when i use the black of the fast noise but then i can not use it like you do ... any ideas what I did wrong ?
    Many thanx for uploading this beautiful tutorial. 🙂
    EDIT :
    I started over ... no idea how or why .. but now it seems to work correctly 🙂

    Heh, lately I have been abusing my computer doing abstract space stuff. I mean really abusing it. Dosens and dosens of fast noises and displacements and so many xglow nodes.
    So stumbling over this bideo today makes me wonder if UA-cam is trying to tell me something.
