The City of Oakland and Alameda County negotiated in good faith with the A’s who basically used extortion tactics to penalize the loyal fans who have supported this franchise for decades. Stay away from The Coliseum this year-let MLB and Fischer suffer some short-term economic consequences. Public dollars should not be used to subsidize a private enterprise. Hopefully, the county can sue the A’s to reacquire the 50% equity position in the Coliseum land rights deal the A’s extorted from the city.
