She did it all with grace. Whether you agree with her decision to publish her story or not. Yes, her story. It happened to her. If it happens to you, then you get to decide not to share it publicly. His mother wants to protect his image. But we are leaving that era where we hid behind facades to look good, while suffering behind closed doors. We are now sharing our stories so we can begin to heal...with each other. If more people came forward, maybe Stephen wouldn't have felt more free in sharing his story and seeking help. Tyler Perry did a moving interview about his trauma on Armchair Expert. Unless you've been through it, you have no idea what these people are going through. Allison is going to help so many people who have lost a loved one to suicide, trauma, and the addiction that can come along with trauma. People who think she's doing it for money should get all their facts before judging her. She's donating ALL proceeds to fund mental health.

Also the daughter says she never said he was an addiction that’s false….. there is a very public statement of her finding drug paraphernalia in a shoe box of his after he died. She made it a very traumatic situation after his passing. His family should have been involved in the book and if they wanted the personal information published.
