And his VP pick is anti-abortion with maybe exceptions for health and life of the mother. And we’ve heard all the horror stories coming out in the red states with these supposed “exceptions.” The only thing that works is letting patients and doctors who specialize in women’s healthcare decide what is best in the individual case.

@@pipz420 The US Electoral System discourages third parties from running. The two options are there because of how voting works in the US. If it sounds undemocratic to you, that's because it is. But it's not the fault of the OP or other voters, it's the fault of the system that our leaders refuse to change. The "you only have two options, don't vote for a third party" notion is called the Spoiler Effect. You can't get a third party in there when people are always trying to see to it that the person they like the least doesn't win. This can be fixed with Ranked Choice voting, but that's too shmancy for most Americans apparently.

Is it not a sign that perhaps RFK jr is actually a good choice - when both major parties are trying to convince us that he’s radical-right/left? Doesn’t that mean he’s actually likely to shake up a broken system?
I’m really confused as to why the media paints him as such a harebrained cook when he’s incredibly lucid, and his ‘crazier’ beliefs (anti-vax) are misrepresented and exaggerated? I’m a centre-left UK citizen, and when you get over the targeted misinfo on RFK, he represents centre left beliefs really well.

The first thing to understand about American politics is that none of these third party or independent candidates have any chance whatsoever of winning. None.
Third parties and independents should be running down ballot for seats they could actually win to gain political power. The electoral college and lack of ranked choice voting shuts them out of the presidential race. None of our third parties have ever really worked on building from the bottom up. Voting for them in the presidential race has no more effect than leaving that box blank. A Democrat or a Republican will get the seat and currently Democrats are the sane choice.
RFK is taking vote from BOTH! Because people are sick of a two party system that doesn’t represent them anymore!
If you want third party choices, you need to work on getting ranked choice voting everywhere and ending the electoral college. Then you have to build a party by winning seats at local, state and congressional levels to get recognition and political power. That is not going to happen by November. Sure, some are foolish enough to waste a vote, but it is only giving up your chance to have a say in who actually ends up in the White House.
At the moment we are under threat of Project 2025, an authoritarian theocracy, with Republicans. They are already installing this in red states and people are losing rights. Luckily, the Democrats have moved away from the neoliberal policy of the past few decades and are doing things that help working people. His FTC chair is particularly impressive in this area. The mainstream media has done a poor job reporting all this, but if you want more choices in the future, you’re better off voting blue in November.
If it weren't for the context provided by the rest of Donald Trump's post, it'd be kinda hard to tell if "Junior" is supposed to be in reference to his son or his Independent rival for the Oval Office. 😂

I once thought like you. I was getting so tired of seeing Trump trolls in the comments of lefty videos that I went to some righty videos and noticed that there weren't ANY critical comments from people of my persuasion there. That's when I realized. The reason we see Trumpers in the places we enjoy is that they're miserable and desperate, and they're coming out to look for company. They don't see us where they are. If they want interaction with us they have to seek us out. We're 'exotic' to them. They hear lies about us, but they don't know us. One thing I feel comfortable betting on is that trump will start making fun of RFK Jr's voice and give him some sort of stupid nickname because of it.

While I would only vote Biden, I think I would go with RFK over Trump. We KNOW Trump wants to be a dictator, end real democracy, can't accept a loss, and aligns with the new Axis of Evil. I don't know that much about RFK Jr but how can he POSSIBLY be worse than all that?
Please watch some of his interviews. He's nothing like Trump. He's informed on all of the important issues we're facing & I think he has good ideas. I think he's the best candidate. I think he at least deserves to have a chance to be heard without being interrupted & cut off in videos. If you still want to vote for Biden that's fine.
