    How could this work as an OUT OF PROXIMITY Circuit?

    Could you tell me would this circuit work with a 3v power supply? If not, what does it need to be changed to make it happen?

    can you make this to trigger 12v led lamp on with delay ?

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  10 років тому +1

      Yes. The circuit should work fine at 12V since the IC is rated up to 15VDC. Replace the piezo alarm with an LED and series current limiting resistor..

    hi do you have a list of the parts you used also could a power led bulb and a flashing bulb when buzzer goes of be fitted many thanks

      Clint walker Hi Clint. All the parts are clearly shown in the schematic. The link is in the video description area. You can take an ultrabright LED and connect it in series with a 330 ohm resistor and place it across the buzzer(Anode of the LED to the (+) rail. Both will come on at the same time. You can also buy fast or slow flashing LED's on Ebay.

    At a high level, what's happening with the impedances of the capacitors (it looks like a DC circuit)? Thank you in advance! :)

    Out of curiosity, is that camera shooting this recording in 600x800 or VGA? I know from past video's that it is defiantly a CCD sensor, which is almost obsolete these days, and apparently difficult to record video with, since they are power hogs and thermal design becomes very challenging. If so, why are these video's rendered and uploaded in 720p? Only reason I ask is because I noticed I could not make out much of the fine print on the schematic shown, although I could have figured it out anyway since it is fairly simple in this case.

      Could be due to the lighting, or being slightly out of focus. The exact same Samsung camera has produced every video on my channel. You can always refer to the link in the video description area for a clear image. VGA. I have the video editing software render everything 3500 kbps / 1280x720 w/black bars on each side. Looks much better.

    I have a fiberglass bodied car, I had a student make me a door circuit back in 99. He moved to Hawaii and I cannot reach him. During a wind storm a tree limb went thru the roof and destroyed my interior. I am retired now and want to get the beast back on the road. I have a remote door popper hooked up right now, but the proximity switch was a crowd pleaser.

      Clint walker I would love to help you, but unfortunately it takes time to produce and edit these videos, and not enough of my viewers are sharing my videos to make follow up videos worthwhile for me. Only high view count videos would be eligible for a follow up video. If viewers start sharing more, then I would reconsider that policy.
      Thank You

    I have a similar application. But how the range can be adjusted? Your hand is very near to the plate.
    Can i increase the range upto 10-15cm?

      Thanks for reply.
      I asked this question, because i have seen this in food industry(Visited for studying my project). Instead of hand it detects the hot sauce when filled up to particular level. The sensor was above the sauce tank. And there was knob to adjust the range of sensor. I even seen the sensor taking in hand(They had extra one non-working).
      OK, I will study more in this regard.
      Thanks

      Clint walker Many of my parts were pulled from scrap electronics, or purchased in large lots off Ebay and other electronic parts websites. I do not have the time to make these for people, but I appreciate the offer.

    Hi, You really do have a great channel, and lots of interesting circuits to try. You sound very knowledgeable and that is why I watch, am subscribed. As I am still some what new to electronics, and, am self taught, places I can learn the how and why is great. I like how you explain what is happening in the circuit. Thankyou for all the good tutorials, they are appreciated. Take care, be good and peace from Oregon, Cass. P.S. you do darn nice looking work, metal detector, etc..

    Great channel. I'm a new subscriber going through your previous videos. Could this circuit somehow be used to protect an automobile? Perhaps when touching the door handle?

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  5 років тому

      I never tested on a larger scale. More than likely the body of the vehicle would false trigger the circuit.

    Thanks for the video, I like these capacitive sensors.
    I was thinking maybe an Arduino based capacitive sensor might be easier for me,
    since it could be just a resistor and plate circuit,
    and output alam would be easily customised.

    Great circuit !!!!!........but watching this i came up with an idea,. if you add a different circuit, so when you touch the plate it will make ON and touch again will make OFF.
