    Came here b/c I had to check out the song you mentioned in a comment to me on a "lost song" vid.
    This song's awesome!

      Thanks, this is one of my favourite 1982 tracks. Did you think the mystery song might have been Positive Noise?

      @@wardrich Hi again, could you help me out with something? I'm trying to find that mystery song video we're talking about, but I can't find it anywhere. Could you post a link to it for me? I've just spent an infuriating 30 minutes trying to find it again. Thanks, Andy

      I remembered this song from a KROQ mix tape I had. I couldn't remember the name of the song or artists and figured the song was lost forever. Finding this here today made my day.

      Thanks for your comment. I spent a long time re-mastering the video because the existing ones on UA-cam weren't good quality.

    Heard this on Soma FM today. They keep spinning these amazingly catchy early new wave tunes, leading me to look it up here. Nice audio overlay on this. Very good video as well for the time period. A time capsule really. Shame it wasn't a bigger hit.

      Thanks for your comment. Is Soma FM a station in the USA? I've never heard of it here in England. I've never heard this song on a British radio station, (except on MixCloud on a 1982 recording). Incidentally, I've also recently remastered the video for Love Cascade by Leisure Process because there wasn't a good version available on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/rCxQoJshdNo/v-deo.html

      @@ajs41 I did watch that other video you uploaded. Very racy for its time! I like that song too. Soma FM is online streaming radio and they are great. Easy to find their website through a search. Has numerous different stations and costs nothing to listen as they run on listener donations only. This song is often played on one of their stations called Underground 80s. I think it's based in San Francisco but am unsure. I live in Australia and literally cannot stand most of the crap local stations.

      @@darrenl Thanks very much, I'll check out the station. I know I'm about 20 years too late with this comment, but I still find it amazing that you can listen to radio stations from anywhere around the world no matter where you are.

      I've been listening to Soma FM recently thanks to your comment, and have discovered some really interesting 80s hits I didn't know about before, such as Emotional Disguise by Peter Godwin, Tender Is The Night by Bill Nelson, and Escalator Of Life by Robert Hazard. Thanks again for alerting me to the station.

    Been obsessed with Love Cascade since hearing it (for the first time) on Gary Crowley's Lost 80s compilation last year. This is a beaut too - thanks for uploading. Would love to see their stuff on Spotify and the like.

      Did you see my re-mastered version of Love Cascade video on my channel? I assume so. What happened was this: on UA-cam, the only video versions of both songs had really poor sound, and I was so annoyed about it that I decided to re-do both songs with the best quality sound and video. It took me ages to get it right because the sound and video were out of sync with each other, and also the video was the 7 version and the audio was the 12 inch version, so I had to edit it in the correct way. Anyway, thanks for your appreciation!

    Electronic pop was never just resigned to Europe. A cool hit all the same and very Depeche Mode sounding.

    • @ajs41
      @ajs41  3 роки тому +1

      Well, this group was from the UK. I don't know whether you count that as Europe or not. It says "Rock America" on the video because it must have been shown on that station in the United States. I tried to find a version of the video that didn't say "Rock America" but I couldn't find one.

      @@ajs41 I know the group were a UK band yet electonic pop and synth were predominantly German bands that gave rise to British ones. I am from Finland Lapp (Sami) culture yet have lived in the UK for the best part of 33 years, my dad british from Yorkshire yet his roots are italian thanks for asking.
